Personally I'm just hoping the Lions don't poop the bed here. And for our Michigan guys to go somewhere good for them.

I think they'd rather do it through free agency...cheap asses would never take an expensive first round pick like WR or QB. They do need depth on the interior DL so DT was a good choice w Wilfork going down last year and aging. I hope Easly was the best DT they could take...I don't know much about him.

Why go for a DB in round 2 though if none are worth it? I don't see anyone who could come in and help the Lions right now or who is worth picking as a best player available type situation. I'd rather see them take that highest rated center(I think he's from USC) or that guard from Baylor if they're available.

Well the Texans can have Carr if they want him. Pretty good opportunity for them, Clowney(a freak defensive end across from Watt) and Carr who could very well end up being the best QB in the draft.

2 - LaMarcus Joyner (FSU) (CB/S)
3 - Christians Jones (FSU)  or Adrian Hubbard (Bama) (OLB)
4 - L'Damian Washington (Mizzou) or Jared Abberderis (Wis) or Martavious Bryant (Clem) (WR)
4 - Bryan Stork (FSU) or Gabe Ikard (Okla) (C)
4 - Michael Schofield (Mich) (OG/OT)
6 - Will Sutton (ASU) (DT)
7 - Hakeem Smith (L'ville) (S)

People keep talking about a CB, but what the Lions really need is a safety. The Lions have Houston, Slay, and Bentley. Slay and Bentley were 2nd and 3rd round picks. Slay just complete his rookie seaosn. Why people think a rookie CB would be better than a 2nd year guy with comparable talent I don't know.  I'd go S, OLB/DE, WR, C, DL.

I love to get Abberdaris.I think he will have a solid career as a third receiver. Great hands and good enough athleticism.

But the Lions don't have a 5th round pick and I like his versatility for a team like Detroit. They really could use a guy who can play 4 out of the 5 positions on the line as a 6th OL.

I do think 4th round is a reach, but they have 3 of them, but that's why I had him as the last of the 4th rounders.

Preferably, I'd have them trade back into the 5th round and get him, but I can't predict that.

... but I don't know what the Bills were thinking.  They're a bad team which just traded away their cheapest and fastest way to get better.

Watkins could be Megatron-lite and they'd still be bad because no one could get him the ball.  Oh, wait, that's Larry Fitzgerald ...
