Friday POSBANG Thread!

Submitted by alum96 on

It's Friday of a relatively uneventful week - let's bang it out.

Highlights of the week:

  • Wilson & Chatman continue surge up recruiting boards
  • No one in bball was tested for pot by the NCAA
  • Unsubstantiated reports that Caris LeVert gained 0.3 lbs this week alone, on the way to his 17 lb weight gain before next November.
  • Unsubstantiated reports that Max Bielfeldt won't be stopped by anyone in the Big 10 next year....
  • .... and either will Freddy Canteen.
  • No crab legs were reported missing in the greater Ann Arbor area.
  • Angelique S. Chengelis had subs.
  • 'Cuse!
  • Hello: Aubrey Dawkins
  • Roseboro's dad - he likes it...he really likes it.
  • Our future DBs are killing it... and getting invites.
  • It's already 5 oclock somewhere...

Just need to get through work today, and although I won't be there in person, tomorrow will be filled with Kentucky Derby festivities and coverage leading up to the most exciting 2 minutes in all of sports!!!  (I'm not being sarcastic, I f'in love the Derby!)

Listening to L.A. Woman at my desk. Slow day so far. Probably headed to the bar after work to try and find some good brew.

Nothing too awesome going on this weekend but I'm headed up to the lake next weekend to put in the hoist, boat and dock. It's that time of year! Time to start a campfire, crack a cold one and enjoy.

My best friend is getting married next weekend, so as a pre-bachelor party we are going out to the Sugar House downtown for drinks and then to Green Dot Stables for sliders. It's gonna be zoppity.

I know many of the Colleges and Schools hold their ceremonies last night and tonight and then all of the grads get their walk through the Big House tomorrow. Congratulations to the new members of the largest living alumni base in the country.

Don't forget that as a new grad you get a one year free membership  to the Alumni Association if you register with them onlione. Congrats to the Class of 2014 and welcome to life on the alumni side.

Let's get this party started! It's Friday, neither Michigan basketball nor football will lose this weekend, and it's going to be one of those classic Nashville weekends.

Somehow I agreed I would go pick up my parents at the airport tomorrow.....at 5 AM.  I should've asked for right of first refusal on their flight time.  But Saturday night will be birthday party with the cousins.  Had one of those last month too, but it was for a two-year-old.... this time more of an adult-beverages kind of celebration instead of a princess-and-balloons deal.

Unfortunately, I am unable to work much today because I just got new Speedplay pedals and I absolutely must go on a long test ride to make sure they are installed correctly.

Listened to some of the talk this morning on WTKA about the softball academy, sounds like it was a blast and they raised over $118,000! Sam said that Laura Hoke subbed in a bunch of football players for her team. I love seeing our athletes participate in charity events like that, visting Mott, giving back to the community, it's awesome.

Today can't go by fast enough, my sister is visiting from North Carolina and it's hard being stuck at work while she's out having fun!

Have a normal day of work but it will seem twice as long. Have a house to clean and a 100 errands to run before my girl's 5th bday party tomorrow. Good news though, I convinced the wife, so 1 of those errands will be to pick up the keg of Oberon! I'm drooling just thinking about it. Have a great weekend, enjoy the race tomorrow, we always play fantasy derby, everyone throws in $5 and you draw a horse's name. If your horse wins you win the pot. Always a party fave. Cheers!

The more I see from him the more I can't wait to get him on the field here.

Michign is on it's way to having an amazing set of defensive backs.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I don't see why people are so interested in this play. Yes, he does a good job of not letting the guy get to the outside, but that's rarely a safety's job...and the QB basically falls down on his own.

I have to poop. I just had chocolate chip cookies and milk and it's 9:50am in Phoenix. The wifearoni has a English teachers only pool party/get drunk fest. So it'll be my son, daugther and me all alone watching Spiderman tonight. I want to take my boy to his first full-length feature film at the theatre THE AMAZING SPIDER MAN 2! He's 3 so it should be ok. Our kid's faux-Grandfather, bio family lives in Michigan and Texas, is taking Miles and a friend to Castle and Coasters (a mini theme park/arcade place) on Saturday and having a sleep over that night, so the wife and I will be alone with the 1 year old, who'll be sleep by 8, so we'll have a long, looooong night of deep, passionate, wet, juicy, warm sleep.
