Free throws ice the game for Meechigun down the stretch! |
| 22 weeks 6 days ago | I will answer your ? with my opinion... |
First this solidifies the Tigers rotation as one of the best in ALL of baseball! They will eat a lot of innings and with that said the Tigers only need an average bully and a future all star closer (Rondon). I persnall feel like they will be above average which will make this signing look good. Second Sanchez is getting paid to get the Tigers to the post season. If he happens to be the #4 in our rotation and does not get the solid starts in the post season as you mention he will be a bull out of the bully. This is a great signing, wish it could have been for less but that is the way of american sports.

| 25 weeks 5 days ago | borges shrink wrapped the box |
Hold onto the ball (we are used to seeing DR turn the ball over) yes! Play to your teams stregnths (stretching the field with DG's arm and utilizing DR in the backfield/slot/flank). Play away from your weaknesses (interior running, especially with safties and corners cheating up to support). IMO Borges looked at DR's awesome touchdown run and became drunk with love, thinking that was how we were going to beat ohio with DR making super human plays! What that did was take DG out of game RHYTHYM and stack the box. Do not underestimate loosing game rhythym, which I feel affected DG's passing rhythym late in the game with DR inexplicably on the sideline! The Michigan players played well enough to win, the Michigan coaching staff did not coach (2nd half) well enough to win. So the main reason was shrinking the box, which causes more tackling traffic and the possibilities of the ball coming loose than when they field is stretched!

| 26 weeks 2 days ago | The Team... |
For me it does not realy matter who starts, however who plays the majority of snaps at QB who can be effective! That said I have faith that DG has more potential to move our offense on scoring drives that will control the clock and keep BM off of the field to a greater degree. Also my opinion is such that DR may see some time in packages and possibly even throw but will ultimately effect this game with his legs from a TB/slot standpoint! DG is our future and DR's future in the NFL is an Antwan Randle-El/Hines ward type guy making millions. When the NFL scouts/execs see him in the backfield and spread out and moving in formations they will see what they want (DR will have a great Combine/Workout) and he will go high in the draft. With that he will reep millions in contract and incentives clauses and because he is DR and complete awesomeness he will then return to Michigan to be a big donor and continue his love of A2 community. Which can only HELP The Team, The Team, The Team in the future! Here is to a healthy DR with good legs under him, DG with a lots of Qb reps and a game day of game day efforts/execution, a 'gorgeous' offensive scheme & finally an excellent 'D' flying around and containing BM! No other is close to me! Grew up anticipating the Tigers seasons & soon playing myself. Now as a husband I have the honor of celebrating my wifes April 1st B'day/ our anniversary April 13 and we are usually in Florida for spring break as teachers! Throw in NCAA final game and M's spring game comes soon and the time of year is unbeatable for me. |

i was reading to see if posting this would be interesting enough because of how many greats go before the Grandpa part in my family. my mom has some family tree stuff that shows Grandpa General Robert E. Lee in my family! i have also come into some stuff on my Dad's side that could help me get started to see where i come from! i am open to suggestions as to how best go about finding out this info!? i have heard that The Church of the ladder day saints (seventh day adventists) have a huge stockpile of info on geneology? so i will take a chance on wanting to see what would come of UM vs. Colorado matchup for a few years. Mountain time zone, not west coast but close enough that the game would draw interest with recruits throughout the Rockies range. also close enough to west coast as well as being a pac 10 team to get some interest from fans wondering how colorado would do against B1G power thus helping with more recruit coverage! Bring back the Hail Mary memories and let us redeem them! Go Blue Beat WMU |
| 2 years 1 week ago | '97 Michigan vs. osu |
4th row 35 yard line on osu side with my dad. listening to osu players talk smack the whole game, watching woodson go against boston and pretty much render him average at best. the famous fight happened right in front of us and spilled into osu's bench. we win and see all the players getting roses past to them. people were rushing the field and my dad and i sat there exhausted from yelling and jumping up and down. taking in the whole atmosphere was one of the top highlights of my life, especially being with my dad! my dad and knew when we left we were going to win the rose bowl and national champioship!

baseball...cue Field of Dreams speach! I played through college and professionally in spain and italy! this sport is my true love. i have backed off in recent years from really studying stats and knowing players and watching all games (even if my Tigers were not playing) so i am not as knowledgable about who is out there and what prospects are doing and projections of who is going to do what! i am taking the less stress way of rooting on my Tigers by not worrying whether they win or lose because i can not affect the outcome. so it is cool to see your post about '90 feet'. think about the major sports and the outlying boundries. each sport from city to city has the same dimensions. baseballs foul territory and outfield fences always change from park to park. baseball is the only major sport where the defense starts with the ball and gives it to the offense willingly. the only sport using a round object (bat) to propel a fairly equally round object. there are so many other unique actions regarding baseball. smell of the grass, pinetar, diving in the dirt, collisions, beautiful displays of athleticism while fielding. i better stop before this gets too long! i believe the Tigers are close, real CLOSE to be being an excellent to dominating team THIS year! Go Tigers ( i am from Denver and have liked the Rockies and even AAA Denver Bears back in the day) and Rockies! |

coaching staff brings Michigan closer to being Michigan again. id say the nd game could be a tough one because it is still in the first part of the year. maybe i am into the hokorgessitson coolaid too much, then again maybe it is good to have hope once again. the more the season goes on the closer the coaches will have our guys where they want them in the new schemes. remember lots of experience and these are players recruited to Michigan so there are brains available to adjust and i am thinking the schemes wont be as complex. i could see a couple of brain fart losses but i could also see (easier schedule, dominos falling in the correct order) no losses going into closer than the experts think contests with brasker and 'ohio'! Go Blue bringing back the glory! |

this is a networking opportunity to recast the world wide (in this case nationwide) Michigan football web. any armchair QB can speculate certain points, however at the center is a reconnect of the disconnect! i see a ton of positives coming from Hoke & Co. through thier efforts! this was so humorous to me, maybe because the whole we'll slap tressel with two games to show we are ahead of the game, oh wait i should probably share in the same punishment as my players thing is so silly. i say silly because i am in a silly mood with my fourth graders who are enjoying seeing thier PE teacher in a silly mood. i suppose being silly makes the prospect of 'ohio' committs or potential committs consider M Football seem more awesome! Go Blue!!! |
| 2 years 9 weeks ago | Lots of experience... |
this main ingredient, also to mention that there is talent with the experience, is why i believe that our offense will be excellent. there will be growing pains and some struggles but not enough to derail EXPERIENCE + Talent! Go Blue stay healthy this spring! |

his first accolade. for Patrick " the pancaker" Omameh this will most certainly not be his last accolade. i believe he has the body and the mental fortitude to be a very successful Michigan Wolverine lineman. maybe even among the greats! Go Blue |

so a three star or even a two star who comes in and by their junior/senior season are up for all major awards at their position should never have been offered because non of the schools you mentioned recruited them??!! stats can be made up, some stats that are not made up can be made to fit anything anyone wants them to fit. some coaches rise from complete anonymity, some from decent backrounds, some from great pedigrees, some even rise from the ashes of failures from the past! i am sure you or anyone else will be able to find coaches in each category who were complete successes/failures. the point is you won't have a say so in who comes here. i know this is a blog and you can voice opinions, that is what this is for. my opinion is i am almost speechless when any conversation comes up about M football and this fiasco! i dont know who might be brought in and what they will do with our current players, which is more important than who they recruit in the next month! this alone has me more worried than getting top recruits, because i believe that whatever system is brought in we can and will be successful mainly because most or our starters will have two three and four years of experience. not so if our key players transfer! what i do know is that it hursts when the people around me that root for other teams are laughing at the school that i grew up rooting for and i am remaining quiet for now! someday Michigan football will be back on top! GO BLUE! GO WOLVERINES!!!!! |

C O O L S T O R Y! the cc posts are like a bad accident you basically know what you will see yet it is so intriguing you can not look away! until our RR is fired or our new coach is introduced the madness will continue yet i can not stay away from the blog. this story gives me hope that football is still football. i imagined myself in the story as you were telling it and it was mind boggling to remember how i played in highschool and to think that leather helmets and no face masks would be protective! thank you for Michigan lore, i love the Wolverines! Go Blue! |

Wow that is a loaded question. I most certainly have faith in The Trinity! That, however is for a different blogosphere. My faith in Michigan football is strong and bigger than any AD, coach or player! My faith is in the fall days of my youth playing footbal in the backyard or the street trying to be like some of my fav Wolverines. We will return to glory and I can be patient, althoug wolverine pride is like a religion it is not at the top of my list. God bless & Go Blue! |
