"But then I grew up . . ."
Oh, it's sooooooooo sweet.

Beat me to it, good work!
March 22nd, 2023 at 12:38 PM ^
Oh, Lordy! That quote! Especially as someone who lives in the area, I can't tell you how sweet that is!! Beyond gold. Platinum? Rhodium? Something incredibly precious!!
Adamantium? Vibranium?
Unobtanium?
There's going to be flaming coolers of poo on his doorstep after that quote.

What a quote, ha!
March 22nd, 2023 at 12:43 PM ^
When I'm down about it not being football season yet I'll just come back to this quote again & again to improve my mood ::chef's kiss::

Nice representation of Michigan Stadium too… the flag looks great…
Nice little teaser from Mr. Oden as well here:
God I love a commitapalooza. It also feels like Harbaugh and the coaches are more dialed in on scouting (or at least player development) than they were in their early years. Definitely more than Hoke and RR. Though Hoke didn't leave the cupboard bare, or at the very least the defense was loaded. I feel good about the 3* guys these days. Especially OL 3*s. Definitely want the 4 and 5* players, but I "trust the coaches."
You nailed it with player development - I truly believe this is the area that UM clearly shines over OSU - especially on DEFENSE. Here's the 247 Team Roster talent from 2022 and the top 3 were Alabama, Georgia and OSU - no one else is close to those three including UM but yet we've smoked them the last 2 years.
Basically, it comes down to our coaching staff dwarfing theirs. I know we're all having fun with our recent recruiting - especially pulling Marshall out of Ohio - but they're going to get theirs. Supposedly, they're close to picking up a commitment from a top 5 2024 RB named Peoples out of Texas in the next couple of weeks - big deal. Wanna bet Marshall ends up being the more productive CF back when all is said and done?
I'm ready for our beatdown of OSU in 2023 in AA.
Peoples out of Texas is like the coolest name ever.

Very nice!
Also, if you want to embed a Tweet, you need to click the "Source" button on the top right part of the text box, then paste. Otherwise you're just pasting HTML code as regular words.
March 22nd, 2023 at 12:31 PM ^
For whatever reason whenever I do that all i get is the text of the tweet and never the graphics/pictures.
March 22nd, 2023 at 12:34 PM ^
Better than *gestures above*
March 22nd, 2023 at 12:43 PM ^
That’s because you don’t use the source button to embed a tweet. You click on the media embed button (two buttons to the right of the quotation button) and paste the link of the tweet.
March 22nd, 2023 at 12:54 PM ^
TIL
Do you put the embed code there, or just a link to the Tweet?
Thank you for the info!
Just the link to the tweet. Very simple. np!
Thank you very much kind sir. I just tested it out!
Shatner must have been drunk or stoned. In what parallel universe is this considered to be good?
70's space rap? predecessor to snoop dog, ice-t, et al?
and yeah, significant narcotics and/or booze had to be involved in whatever you call that. wow.

Fire in the hole!!!
6' 7" and 315 lbs. That's already massive!!! Wait until he gets his muscles toned.
That's a starting forward on a basketball team!!!!!!!
Opposing coaches, to paraphrase a former Michigan coach, will say:
Michigan's linemen can eat peanuts off of the heads of our DL.
Welcome aboard to the NEW BIG BEN!!!!!!
Gotta believe Cole and Jordan can't wait to run behind his blocking.
NOTE: 4 of the top 12 players in Ohio this year have committed to Michigan. 7 of those 13 players are still uncommitted. Don't know how many more are offered or would be a good fit for Michigan, but it feels good to walk into Ohio and start getting THEir top kids.
aa
I see what you did THEre 🤪
Go Blue 🏈🏈🏈
Looks like THEy're slipping a bit in Columbus. Probably because THEy've gotten ''Charmin" soft.
Oh happy DAY!
(Did I do that right?)

Has all the best Midwest program offers except 1. Hot take: he is going to take the final game of the regular season a little personal.
March 22nd, 2023 at 12:29 PM ^
Yeah but they dont believe in winning battles in the trenches.
March 22nd, 2023 at 12:51 PM ^
Yeah, it is a little baffling how these OSU OLs are so highly regarded, both as recruits and draft prospects, but don't seem all that impressive when you watch them play. I'm hesitant to call them soft, which I think is a cliche that's way overused, but yeah, they kind of play soft. Hopefully we can make it three in a row this fall...
March 22nd, 2023 at 12:32 PM ^
So you're saying he's going to use the MSU gambit for us instead of against us.
March 22nd, 2023 at 12:24 PM ^
With that offer list he should be a four star.
March 22nd, 2023 at 12:53 PM ^
Exactly. Also o-line recruits rarely match their ratings. Jake Long was a 3 star. If coach wants him, we want him…screw recruiting services. 4 Star offer list equals a 4 Star dude. Momentum in Ohio is also good mmmkay. 6’7 315 right tackle checks all kinds of boxes.
DO WANT
Long was a 3 star? He was a top 100ish recruit.
Yes, Long was definitely on the map as a recruit. He wasn't a no-name diamond in the rough that Michigan discovered.
https://247sports.com/Player/Jake-Long-26459/high-school-43004/
Jake Long was a 4*. Just a hair outside the top 100. Not sure who you’re thinking of but it’s not Jake Long.
Both Rivals and Scout listed Long as a solid 4-star recruit:
Yep. 247 didn’t exist at the time, but they do still retroactively include past players in a composite ranking.
Jake Long was certainly not a 3-star
Sitting one star short of an non-committable instate offer, come on down!

Plays for St. Ed's considered one of the best programs in Ohio.
March 22nd, 2023 at 12:33 PM ^
My uncle played football for St. Ed's, and he says its a good program.
That's all I got.

March 22nd, 2023 at 12:52 PM ^
I played football in central Ohio, but St Edwards outta Cleveland was known as a powerhouse. They've won 6 state titles in 13 years in Ohio's toughest division. Yeah, they're legit
March 22nd, 2023 at 12:26 PM ^
Dominoes are falling. Go Blue!
March 22nd, 2023 at 12:39 PM ^
Gotta get Davis then the Dominoes will fall fast. If Davis want's the 2 receivers he currently plays with, we hopefully get them too. Seems like we lead for both Shipp and Goodwin
