I don’t understand why players can’t see it and they continue to sign up for what are objectively failing programs
Yet you made the connection to players continuing to go there. I laid out why they continue to get players to go there.

It's also possible that recruits from Texas are overrated (like most things in Texas).
December 21st, 2022 at 12:41 PM ^
Maybe it's the babes `\_(°°)_/`
December 21st, 2022 at 7:01 AM ^
It's 7am on the east coast...not sure how many commits we have in that timezone, but they can officially send in their NLI.
Fun Fact, Koumba was probably first considering he was able to send his in at 7:00am local time and he's in France.

I hope the fax machine is well oiled and has a fresh supply of paper.
Anyone know if they still use fax machines?
December 21st, 2022 at 7:14 AM ^
lol they don't...you can e-mail, screenshot a text, as long as you get it to the staff, you're good.
December 21st, 2022 at 7:20 AM ^
What....? When did this happen?
December 21st, 2022 at 7:28 AM ^
like 8 years ago...I can't tell if you're serious, surprised, or actually shocked.
Technology, man. These kids don't even know what a fax machine is...
December 21st, 2022 at 7:53 AM ^
Oh... the old fax machine that burned onto thermal paper....... that was some crazy technology at the time...... no more having to ship bids in via overnight currier the day before bid opening.
December 21st, 2022 at 7:57 AM ^
There are some police reports and communications that continue to use fax machines.
December 21st, 2022 at 8:24 AM ^
Speaking of old technology, our freshman engineer gets a really confused look when I regale him with stories of CRISP in basement of Angell Hall.
December 21st, 2022 at 8:27 AM ^
I had a UM intern last summer that had to google it. Some posters think it's a weed reference.
December 21st, 2022 at 8:39 AM ^
CRISP was oddly fun. Or am I just weird (and old)?
December 21st, 2022 at 8:43 AM ^
We're old. If you want to speed up the aging process, take a walk down South U.
December 21st, 2022 at 8:53 AM ^
I was a student 1983-1989. CRISPed many times.
December 21st, 2022 at 8:45 AM ^
You must be weird. I'm old and CRISP was never fun. You probably enjoyed NUBS too.
December 21st, 2022 at 8:58 AM ^
It had a certain drama. Sitting at a desk like you're getting booked by the AAPD, staring across the room at a hippie chick wondering whether she's gonna grab the last spot in the 1:00 Intro to Poetry section or you were actually gonna have to wake up before then... Good times...
And no, I never NUBbed.
December 21st, 2022 at 10:15 AM ^
I remember getting asked at the door what "CRISP" meant as an entry requirement for the house parties on Hill St.
December 21st, 2022 at 10:34 AM ^
I still don't know what CRISP is and I'm both an alum and over 50...but I went to Michigan for grad school a dozen years ago. I do kinda get what your username means now, at least. I always thought it was some kind of drug reference.
December 21st, 2022 at 12:40 PM ^
IIRC, it’s Computerized Registration Involving Student Participation. Basically, scheduling your classes.
December 21st, 2022 at 10:45 AM ^
Absolutely this was an entry password for house parties for a while. I was at U of M 1990-1997 (undergrad and law school) and CRISPing was always an adventure.
December 21st, 2022 at 12:13 PM ^
Give this man upvotes...had to wait 12 years to post that.
December 21st, 2022 at 8:49 AM ^
We're old but it's gotta be up there in best acronyms ever created.
December 21st, 2022 at 8:56 AM ^
You must be weird. I'm old and never thought CRISP was fun. You probably enjoyed NUBS too.
EDIT: Oops on the double post.

Yeah, and example of what I call traveling to IR-Land, where you’re not sure what you’re gonna get walking in.

Weird is my vote NTTAWWT.

20something years ago I had to UPS mine back. I didn’t have a fax machine.
December 21st, 2022 at 12:39 PM ^
Sheesh. I am almost always not serious. I prefer not to take things too serious.
December 21st, 2022 at 7:48 AM ^
We are almost 8 hours into the day and we haven't had a single player commit from the transfer portal yet. I would have figured we'd have at least 4 or 5 by now. This is the most disappointing development in days....
December 21st, 2022 at 8:09 AM ^
Probably barely selling any jerseys in Ohio.
December 21st, 2022 at 9:11 AM ^
I wonder what happened to the original person to post that comment. Weird, I know, but like what was going on in that dude’s brain and where is he now?
December 21st, 2022 at 10:46 AM ^
I remember that post. We've gotten a lot comedic miles out of that phrase and the one the followed: "It's a start." But, all these years later, can we say that technically...it was? Was that poster truly prescient and not the laughing stock we made of them?
December 21st, 2022 at 7:55 AM ^
Thanks to the OP for starting the thread. Last year’s big 3 are going to be stars for UM.
UM had a lot of fireworks from transfers and commits the last week or so - curious to see if they have any big adds beyond Jyaire and Karmello.
Go Blue!

Sam had Cole Cabana's trainer on. He is talking about him running 4.3 at a camp. When he was asked to run again to see if this is real, he ran 4.34?? He compared him DE and how good he is catching the ball out of the backfield as well. Next year is going to very interesting....
December 21st, 2022 at 8:44 AM ^
He said he is very similar to the Don, just needs to get stronger.
December 21st, 2022 at 8:45 AM ^
I'd be ok if Corum hung around in a rehab year just to let the badassedness permeate guys like Cole Cabana.
December 21st, 2022 at 8:51 AM ^
Our QB, RB, OL rooms are the best of Harbaugh's tenure. I'd probably give the 2016 squad the edge for best DL.
December 21st, 2022 at 11:44 AM ^
The 2016 DL was outstanding.
December 21st, 2022 at 1:46 PM ^
That was Brady Hoke’s forte. And Mattison if we’re inclined to give him any credit for things.
December 21st, 2022 at 2:22 PM ^
Mattison cashed in all his credits when he dropped the Harbaugh family like cold pasta and ran into the arms of Ryan Day. Jack gave him his start. John hooked him up in the NFL. Jim reignited his college career after retirement age. And he spit in their faces.
Fuck him.

Outa getting some elite DL signed. So far so good.

Etta to have more good news today!

Etta “ the Edge setta “

Just checked out the pics on the UM site--Trey Pierce is a mammoth man! My old OL coach would have called him a "prominent citizen."
