Blown up image of video clearly shows Jacoby Windmon throwing punches
Jacoby Windmon is not among the players suspended from Michigan St. for what happened Saturday night. But after seeing this video, one has to seriously wonder why.
WARNING: the video is disturbing.
This is the post game press conference. In the first 11 seconds Jacoby Windmon claims he didn't see what happened in the tunnel.
Jacoby Windmon has been Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week three times so far this season. Is that why he is not among the players suspended by Michigan St.? That seems to be a question that has to be asked.
The BIG10 should take action on Jacoby Windmon themselves. What happened Saturday night was shocking and disturbing. And it was criminal. The BIG10 should also be looking in to WHY Jacoby Windmon was not suspended.
I have to conclude that Michigan St. should not be left to handle this "in house". This video shows they are not taking strict enough steps to deal with this appalling event.

Conference needs to step in and suspend him if they won’t do it.
November 1st, 2022 at 5:38 AM ^
Agreed, but that would require the conference officials to have the guts and the willingness to do the right thing.
Pardon me if I don't hold my breath.

That's why I'm glad Tom Mars is working for Green's family. And I also hope law enforcement gets involved in a big way. Even MSU can't circle the wagons enough to stop the cops.
November 1st, 2022 at 6:12 AM ^
If you finished this with “…outside Ingham County.” I would have agreed.
November 1st, 2022 at 8:15 AM ^
AGREED! If this was in east landfill, all the staee players would have gotten off with a littering offense and we have seen that before. FUCK THOSE ASSHOLE PLAYERS!
November 1st, 2022 at 8:55 AM ^
Or Cook Co IL.
November 1st, 2022 at 8:03 AM ^
Do not underestimate MSU's ability and desire to circle the wagons. They rarely do the right thing. They make PR-friendly moves only.
November 1st, 2022 at 9:00 AM ^
Somebody made this comment about us--almost word for word--at RCMB Saturday evening. Worth staying a little bit self-aware here.
November 1st, 2022 at 10:11 AM ^
Let's not both sides this.
Of course we're far from perfect, but the side with players who staged a literal tunnel mugging doesn't get to click their tongues
November 1st, 2022 at 11:44 AM ^
You serious Clark?
November 1st, 2022 at 11:00 AM ^
there is no PR that can spin this short of Tucker kicking the players off the team or needing to resign outright.
MSU football as a program is done for the foreseeable future. How long they are going to stay irrelevant is up to how they act now.
No parent is going to want to send a kid to a school that encourages their players to act like thugs.
Harbaugh and the B1G coaches and their staffs might even be hoping that they stay there because it's a layup as negative recruiting goes.
November 1st, 2022 at 11:13 AM ^
No parent is going to want to send a kid to a school that encourages their players to act like thugs.
Dantonio consistently kept a full roster.
Brian Kelly gets recruits despite doing his best Grimace imitation and throwing players under the bus repeatedly and publicly.
People hear what they want to hear, and if Mel Tucker is coming in saying "your kid is going to get free college, and I'm going to help develop his potential into a possible NFL plater," many will listen.
November 1st, 2022 at 12:18 PM ^
Neither d Antonio or Kelly had his players committing felonious assault in a tunnel.
November 1st, 2022 at 11:45 AM ^
But if he kicks them off the team how will he possibly recruit next years 20 transfer players?
November 1st, 2022 at 4:26 PM ^
Cops have a way of letting college football players get away with a long list of criminal behavior that you and I would go straight to jail for. We've seen this happen with MSU, and I watched this happen repeatedly for 25 years in Tallahassee with Florida State football players.
Hell, Joe Mixon broke A GIRL'S jaw with a vicious punch, and never faced criminal charges. If you want to get away with beating people up, stealing merchandise, possessing things that are illegal to possess.....just be a major college football player.
I doubt much will come of this, but I'll remain hopeful.
November 1st, 2022 at 10:37 AM ^
I lean the other direction. The profound egregiousness of these assaults and the willful lack of administrative intervention-the director of MSU football operations clearly shown fleeing the scene...tells me that MSU may not be playing football next year. This is a very, very serious event. And the reality here is that what happened is likely worse than we know at this time. Of all the MSU associates who were bystanders only one is known to take any action to end this-and it was much too little and much too late. The conference and the NCAA is going to be hard-pressed to act strongly enough and swiftly enough to dissuade significant litigation that does not include them. And I believe they will actually act accordingly.
November 1st, 2022 at 11:10 AM ^
"the director of MSU football operations clearly shown fleeing the scene"
This isn't the worst part of what happened, but it's still particularly pathetic, especially given that he was all "I'm an Alpha Dog badass and I'm in charge here get the fuck out of my way" when MSU was entering the field before the game started.
When the shit hit the fan, he revealed his true character.
November 1st, 2022 at 11:54 AM ^
You guys are totally missing the point on what he did.
That guy did NOT just flee the scene ... he ran into the MSU locker room and got a bunch of those players to run out into the hall ready to fight.
Go watch the ABC/ESPN camera tape and focus on him. He didn't try to obstruct the bystander's camera phone (as was first hypothesized). Nor did he pussy out and run away. He ran to rally the troops to what he perceived to be a battle.
Obviously none of us know the exact words he used, but plainly it was something to the effect of "there's a fight in the tunnel!" Because right after he runs in there, a bunch of the MSU players who had calmly entered their locker room come pouring out, and it's pretty clear they are bowed up for a fight.
That dude needs to be FIRED. He is an adult, and he plainly and deliberately poured gas on the siutation.
Had more of our players been up the tunnel at that moment, it would have been an all-out brawl. And that guy would be 100% guilty of that situation.
{I love the Monty Python clip ... but this is actually very serious IMO}
Go watch the ESPN video again. If you focus on him, you can't miss it. Firing offense of the first order. The guy willfully and deliberately attempted to escalate the situation.
November 1st, 2022 at 11:16 AM ^
There is no way on earth that this incident results in MSU not playing next year.
I'm not saying it's not a very serious, egregious, ridiculous situation. There's just not going to be an "end" to the program, even if temporary.
November 1st, 2022 at 11:39 AM ^
Isn’t the commissioner’s kid on the team? Should tell us exactly how the league office is going to handle this probably more worries about how to make tuck look good.
November 1st, 2022 at 12:25 PM ^
The conference doesn’t really care about MSU, which isn’t a marquee brand. The conference will hit them hard in order to look tough and why not? Sparty isn’t headed to a bowl and nobody cares about them nationally.
November 1st, 2022 at 7:31 AM ^
How can the B1G justify anything other than lifetime bans from the conference?
November 1st, 2022 at 9:00 AM ^
Not just the conference but from any college football at all
November 1st, 2022 at 11:34 AM ^
We won't see the B1G conference institute a NCAA ban, that's not how that works, kinda beyond their scope
November 1st, 2022 at 11:39 AM ^
is this the same football program that beat the crap out of a bunch of engineering students in a dorm? it's silly to think this will end their program if that incident was barely a blip.
November 1st, 2022 at 10:09 AM ^
Hijacking this comment... OP can you do one for the McBurrows part of the scuffle? I don't have the video editing chops you do, but reviewing those two videos, it seems obvious several others besides the 3 suspended are in on it, including Jayden Reed.
Two views I've seen are:

I didn't edit that video. I came across it on twitter.
I don't have the time to do editing like that. Really, I don't know who does, unless they work in sports journalism.
November 1st, 2022 at 3:45 AM ^
Dude blatantly lied after being an integral part of the "situation".
He's a piece of shit and should be banned from playing college football again.
November 1st, 2022 at 6:05 AM ^
Correction- not just Jacoby, but MSU collectively are pieces of shit and should be banned for life. Problem solved!
November 1st, 2022 at 6:08 AM ^
If he had been interviewed by police and lied he could be facing obstruction of justice charges along with assault.
OP, you should turn your "research" over to the Ann Arbor PD just in case they haven' done the analysis already as well as the legal team representing Green.
November 1st, 2022 at 8:03 AM ^
Not just the PD but whoever will act as prosecuting attorney (DA). Hell, maybe the AD’s office.
Sure they should do their own work, but this is good to vector them in on angles and time.

If you want to be very vindictive, send it to every NFL teams Director of Scouting.....
November 1st, 2022 at 8:33 AM ^
Send it to every team's PR department. You can just send his regular game film to the scouting departments, that will be enough.
November 1st, 2022 at 8:28 AM ^
This...let them know the sane world is watching!
November 1st, 2022 at 9:48 AM ^
MSU is just as pathetic for not suspending him. They have seen all the tapes. Harbaugh even talks about an over head camera that shows things even better. They have seen all the evidence yet have done nothing. I hope the conference and the law come down on him and even the program at this point
November 1st, 2022 at 11:15 AM ^
Hey, now, for all we know, he had his eyes closed the whole time.
Or maybe it's hard to see out of the helmet that he cowardly put back on before beginning to punch.
November 1st, 2022 at 2:38 PM ^
the guy literally put his helmet back on.
November 1st, 2022 at 3:48 AM ^
Puts his helmet on first, doesn't get any more pussy than that.
Suspended, for sure, at least the rest of the year.
Assault charges, for sure.....he thought about it, made sure he was protected and went in for his cheap shots.
A lifetime of shame for being an unbelievably low class coward, probably not given his blatant lie about his involvement. One can hope though that for the rest of his life people bring it up and remind him.
November 1st, 2022 at 6:27 AM ^
Puts his helmet on first, doesn't get any more pussy than that.
Maybe using it as a weapon to beat someone?
November 1st, 2022 at 8:30 AM ^
I wonder what would have happened if Mazi had to use the restroom at this time as well?
November 1st, 2022 at 9:02 AM ^
Then none of this would have happened, Mazi is a large large dude, his presence alone would have kept State players at bay.
November 1st, 2022 at 9:05 AM ^
Speaking on this topic, I'm very glad no other Michigan players were in the tunnel, it would have gotten even worse. It would have turned into a brawl instead of an attack, which at that point suspensions would have happened on both sides, the Tunnel issue would have been brought up even more. Don't get me wrong, I would have been happy to jump in the fray to protect a teammate but the lines become blurry in an all out brawl.
November 1st, 2022 at 11:36 AM ^
And/or in addition to personal head protection, it's a lot easier to throw punches with your right and left hands if you're not holding a helmet.
November 1st, 2022 at 3:50 AM ^
(Waves hand)
Windmon didn’t throw any punches.
He”s not the Linebacker you’re looking for.
Move along

November 1st, 2022 at 3:59 AM ^
Tucker claimed the same thing. Then there’s a clear video of him being in the thick of it and walking in at the end of most players punching the door or something.
November 1st, 2022 at 10:04 AM ^
Tucker didn't make it up to the locker room until more than a minute after the scuffle. It's very plausible he wasn't close enough to see anything, it's a stretch to say he was in the thick of it.
November 1st, 2022 at 10:45 AM ^
I wish people would stop calling this a “scuffle “. It was nothing of the sort.
November 1st, 2022 at 11:52 AM ^
Don’t tell that hensons phone dude that he will be sad.
November 1st, 2022 at 4:00 AM ^
He just wanted to get his hands on a Michigan player for once. He got exploited against Luke and DE in coverage and pancaked several times.
