Wolverine Blitzkrieg

This one seems odd, unless it’s related to him possibly being homesick.  Surely he expected to have to compete for the starting spot, which likely meant waiting a couple years (once he skipped his senior year in HS).

That being said…Sorry, not sorry.  Couldn’t happen to a better bunch of guys.  They deserve to face a little adversity at least once every couple decades.

Stroud and McCord and the new guy Brown out of Utah for next year. As long as McCord doesn’t bolt they should be fine the next few years. I’d rather them keep the second and third guy so it’s less enticing for Dante Moore.

At first blush, this is great and funny because it hurts OSU.

But it also eases the competition a bit for Dante Moore to get very early playing time at OSU, and that's not so good.

But hey, I'll take it.

Yep, that's why there's no sense in forecasting this stuff. It sounds like OSU knew this was happening which is why they just got the commitment from that high 4-star that was committed to USC. I think the more telling one is if McCord stays or leaves. If he leaves, then that will leave them a lot thinner next year

The days of any team stacking skilled position player - like just 3 or 4 years ago - is long gone especially with the new transfer rules saying that you don't have to sit out a year with your 1st transfer.  The portal has now become recruiting, part 2. Welcome to college football, 2021 version

I have to imagine Ewers figures a year on campus getting college coaching and facilities was a better upside than another year in HS. He could see if he’d be the starter, and if not he will have 4 years of eligibility and a year of being in a college system

Not mullet man, Quinn Exotic!!! That dude was a walking joke target regardless of how he performed on the field. Oh well, hope he joins a team named the Tigers, because then the jokes just write themselves.

fear the mullet...80s redo. my teenage daughters are both horrified that all the 'cute' guys in high school are all growing their hair out. They will be forever traumatized by their parents wedding pictures and dad's hair band look in a tux. pray the 80s return.... everyone was interested in having fun and politics was largely just another professional sport to watch....not the sick obsession it has become. and of course UM football was beginning a decade and a half of dominating the game and osu was still suffering a prolonged post woody hangover. "redneckery"...love it. +1 to u sir.

We covered this in advanced physics courses at U of M.  Turns out that exceeding critical mullet density (rho_m*) creates a configuration with effects similar to the event horizon of a black hole.

There were Phys Rev Letters discussing this in the 80's and warning against Chuck Norris guest starring on MacGyver.

How can he take that perfect Ohio State Mullet away?

Oklahoma State University, another OSU?

Maybe they have been living too large down there and have locker issues?  They sure did seem to quit a bit last Saturday.

I'm not surprised.  He's not going to wait behind Stroud and they also had another top QB in that class.  McCord was the one who saw playing time this year as the backup and I assume that wasn't the original plan.

Anyway, he'll wind up somewhere in the Texas is my guess.  Good on him getting $1M from Columbus companies while at it

Luke Fickell in 2011 was not ready to be a HC and everyone knew it, if they had gone 10-2 with a win over Michigan then they might’ve kept him otherwise he was doomed. Luke Fickell in 2018 arguably was not ready either, and promoting from within with a top assists is almost always the best way to go when dealing with a retiring winning coach.

This is funny. And I enjoy OSU taking a hit. And it's particularly amusing with all the attention Ewers got with the NIL thing.

But in actual practical terms the issue is that OSU is loaded at the QB position, and there's no way they'll keep that many top guys on the roster; it's just a question of who leaves.

With Stroud looking elite, there's already a guy in the way for another year, and more stars coming in behind him... he's a guy that goes.

I mean, Michigan takes a QB every year, knowing that some will transfer.

What was he expecting this season? He skipped his senior year and came into the program in August and expected to play? Whoopty doo. Wish he would’ve stayed, but all of this is his fault for worrying about the money and not being part of a team. Heard he’s A&M bound.
