Brief version:
"This is wrong, and the other thing is bad, and I dunno, y'know, it's worse, and one-score games, cuz then we'd win, and give Minnesota credit, and you motherfuckers, and we're the worst in the history of college football, and speaking of sex, then we were in the endzone, and my mom, freudian slip, my wife texts me, and bucket of shit, and take off all my clothes, and, yeah, no one needs to see that, so I'll post this instead."
October 17th, 2021 at 7:38 PM ^
I'm not sure whether my favorite part was the comparison to watching 2AM play quarterback like being in an abusive relationship or the very end, "Fuck everything. Go Big Red."
October 17th, 2021 at 8:08 PM ^
Watching that was a lot of fun, thanks for posting!

Jon Johnston is the admin for Corn Nation on SBnation. He hates Michigan, by the by.
The way he constantly talks shit about other Big Ten teams, especially after they whup his team's ass, is one of the many reasons why I am always happy to see Nebraska lose
October 17th, 2021 at 1:29 PM ^
The Cornholes are the best 3-5 team in the country. They are better than their record.
Really?
I would say that Frosty and the Cornholes are chokers and losers, and have exactly the record they deserve.
At the end of the season - betting they will be "the best 3-9 team in the country".
October 17th, 2021 at 3:53 PM ^
They are also the worst 3-5 team in the country. Why? Because there are no other 3-5 teams in the country right now. I'm not sure there is another team in the country that has even played 8 games yet.
But in all seriousness, that is damning them with some faint praise even when there are other 3-5 teams. Most of them suck so what is the point of calling them the best of the worst? I get calling yourself the best 6-6 team if you had a tough schedule and lost to the best teams in the country, but this team has losses to Illinois and Minnesota.
The team I feel bad for is Indiana which is 2-4 playing the toughest schedule in the country to date with losses to Cincinnati, @ PSU, @ Iowa, and MSU with OSU on deck for next week.
October 17th, 2021 at 6:27 PM ^
Having been at the WKU v Indiana game in Bowling Green this year, I can confirm Indiana should be 1-5. They are not good and I don’t understand why.
October 18th, 2021 at 7:08 AM ^
This year they didn’t have the advantage of practicing while their opponents were quarantining.
October 17th, 2021 at 9:56 PM ^
I see that point, though. It's frustrating as a fan when your team loses games that appeared to be there for the taking and you just couldn't quite get it done. The Patriots are 2 - 4 getting outscored by just 2 points. Sometimes it seems more painful to keep losing close.
October 17th, 2021 at 6:03 PM ^
No other 3-5 team hits as hard as they do
October 17th, 2021 at 8:21 PM ^
I really thought they were going to ruin Iowa’s season on the Friday after Thanksgiving, but Purdue even took that away from them.
October 17th, 2021 at 1:35 PM ^
After losing last week, all I heard from Frost and his players was how close they were to getting turned around, and several said, "We have a really good football team." I think it's time for them to admit what Bill Parcells once said - "You are what what your record says you are." (quote edited)
October 17th, 2021 at 4:28 PM ^
More correctly, you are what your record is.
October 17th, 2021 at 5:16 PM ^
Or, as according to Frank Zappa , "You are what you is"...
October 17th, 2021 at 5:39 PM ^
Or to paraphrase Popeye, "you yam what you yam"
October 17th, 2021 at 8:16 PM ^
"Broken hearts are for assholes."
-also Frank Zappa
October 17th, 2021 at 1:43 PM ^
That was amazing.
October 17th, 2021 at 2:40 PM ^
"bucket of feed lot shit."
October 17th, 2021 at 4:23 PM ^
with the gravel...
October 17th, 2021 at 3:50 PM ^
The best part was the last line.
October 17th, 2021 at 1:47 PM ^
Whatcha gonna do, Trev?
October 17th, 2021 at 2:14 PM ^
That loss to Minn might have been a game-changer. You could have made a case for another year for Frost prior to this game, arguing that the losses to Oklahoma/MSU/Michigan were "moral victories," but they needed to start recording actual victories. Now, at 3-5, they're probably going to miss a bowl once again. I don't know how you could bring back a coach who's posted four straight losing seasons at Nebraska.
October 17th, 2021 at 2:23 PM ^
Agreed jmblue. If LSU fires Coach O 2 years after a natty, for a mediocre year, I don't see how Nebraska retains Frost for constantly underperforming.
October 17th, 2021 at 2:32 PM ^
and lo and behold, LSU and coach O are done at the end of the year.
i still think nebraska should keep frost - i mean, who else are they going to get? and they really are the best 3-5 team in the land.
October 17th, 2021 at 2:45 PM ^
I don't know who else is out there, but at this point, what are they clinging to? What has Frost actually done that's good? All of his predecessors did better than this. Bo Pelini went 9-4 every year and beat us a couple times. Frost can't even get to .500.
Even if they are the "best 3-5 team in the country," you just can't sell that to the fanbase in year four as some kind of accomplishment.
October 17th, 2021 at 7:50 PM ^
The Minny loss was the signature on Frost’s death warrant.
October 17th, 2021 at 3:34 PM ^
Yes his overall record is like 15-26 now. This is the best team he has ever had with the experience and super seniors on this team. He will lose a lot for next year and his recruiting has been terrible. Good chance he ends up 5-7 or worse this year. People in Lincoln need to start wondering if Frosty is the right man for them
October 17th, 2021 at 3:35 PM ^
Give 'em a participation trophy!
October 17th, 2021 at 1:52 PM ^
brian's uncle is a nebraska fan/blogger?
October 17th, 2021 at 2:06 PM ^
Lol, I was thinking the same. Here's more from this guy (after they lost to Illinois):
October 17th, 2021 at 3:18 PM ^
I’d love some sort of crossover article with this guy sometime during the season or offseason. I absolutely loved his rant, and Brian and him in one room would be either a disaster or sportsblog heaven, and entertaining either way.
October 18th, 2021 at 4:54 AM ^
Brian still doesn't hate Nebraska fans as much as he should.
Get these two talking about the 1997 national championship and that will change.
October 17th, 2021 at 4:15 PM ^
Here's his instant reaction video after the Michigan loss.
October 17th, 2021 at 5:16 PM ^
That Go Blue was nice....
October 17th, 2021 at 10:41 PM ^
So was the "They (NEB) hit really hard."
October 17th, 2021 at 1:58 PM ^
"I was gonna take all my clothes off and leave the stadium"
LOL
October 17th, 2021 at 1:58 PM ^
"My wife texted me and she said "What's your plan?" And honestly, my plan is to walk in front of a fucking bus. The first half of this game for Nebraska was like eating a bucket of feedlot shit, with the gravel and everything in it. It was a terrible first half."
October 17th, 2021 at 2:37 PM ^
Ha! I was about to highlight that part. Starts at 3:18
October 17th, 2021 at 2:05 PM ^
"Adrian Martinez...I love the guy, I really do. But...are we in an abusive relationship? Yeah, he's really mean and nasty and he fucks things up, but the sex is really great when we get it."
He reminds me of Capt. Bill Wichrowski, the crab boat captain on the Deadliest Catch.
October 17th, 2021 at 2:08 PM ^
Watching this is textbook schadenfreude. I feel for this guy . . . but I also laugh.
October 17th, 2021 at 2:13 PM ^
That was awesome. Even with all that, he ended with Go Red. Nice touch.
He was depressed but funny. Did he actually predict 38-0? Or just 38-something. He was wild and controlled at the same time.
October 17th, 2021 at 8:36 PM ^
OK ... let's get this right.
For Nebraska it's - Go Big Red.
Michigan is Go Blue. And it is NOT Go Big Blue .... (that's Kentucky). You're welcome (haha)
Go Blue!
October 17th, 2021 at 2:25 PM ^
Oh, that was superb....
We need one of these, although I am loathe to be mired in the circumstances that would precipitate such a rant.
October 17th, 2021 at 2:47 PM ^
We do, it's called a game day thread. ?
October 17th, 2021 at 2:36 PM ^
Pretty funny and real at same time. "Go Big Red" at end. When there is no hope it is a sign of a bottom and there are better days ahead. Tough luck team this year though, and yes, you have to make your own luck
October 17th, 2021 at 7:35 PM ^
An actual Mr. Brightside.
We should loan them the anthem for a week.
October 17th, 2021 at 3:12 PM ^
I saw someone call them the Lions of the NCAA the other day and that is a very accurate description. They just find ways to lose because they're losers.
October 17th, 2021 at 3:26 PM ^
This guy bears more than just a passing resemblance to the late, great George A. Romero.
October 17th, 2021 at 3:27 PM ^
I think we have all said "Fuck everything. Go Blue" at least once on our lives.
