Basketball: Chet Holmgren, the #1 player and Center, got his first crystal ball from Travis Branham (247 sports) today for Gonzaga.

If you have followed basketball recruiting there have been a lot of whispers about Gonzaga but this is the first time someone has put it down as a prediction.

Also, Hunter Sallis, the number 6 player in the country out of Nebraska is also a lean to Gonzaga. Hes a combo guard.

Looks like Few may load back up for next year. I'm not sure on their roster composition for next year but Suggs is lost likely gone to the NBA. These 2 would fill a nice void for them either way. They already have to guys 6'8 210 lbs committed. Both are top 70 players.

Izzo is going to be in a pinch.

He desperately needs a PG and Akins is going to tell him to pound sand if he thinks he’s going to play with Bates again.  Bates is no sure thing and likely to go pro.

If I’m Izzo I take Akins and pass on taking the high risk cancer.

If he’s not going to come here, go to Gonzaga. Few has run in my opinion aN as impressive program than Coach K has Duke.

He’s up there with Jay Wright in that I’ll be happy when he wins his first (very well-deserved) title. Now Wright didn’t have to get greedy and win a second title in 2018.

Where is that chode from the shit post meta to excoriate you for not calling this OT?

PS:  How the hell does suburban America keep producing little honkies named Chet and Hunter that are that good at hoops?  Gonzaga's white nationalist recruiting effort has to cease bearing fruit at some point.  Fucking nazis.

PS PS:  I have to be the only person in history to use "chode" and "excoriate" in the same sentence.  #fabvocab.

I almost forgot...Fire harbaugh.

Never got -17 before.  I guess I can't race bait and virtue signal as well as the actual commies.  It was fun to try though.

But I still can't stand white basketball players.  That part was true.

Chet rules to the point I'll be surprised if he goes to college. G League will come calling and there's basically only risk be that injury or looking bad relative to expectations vs. physically developed dudes. He's a top 2-3 pick if he takes the year off to work on pointillism.

Really hope I'm wrong and we see seven foot Bob Dylan on the biggest stage we can next year.

I saw the game with Chet and Emoni. Chet was definitely the better of the two. I also was amazed at Chet's dribbling ability for a tall man. Yet as another poster said, Chet is scrawny as thin as heck. If he goes straight to the pros, I'm afraid one good flagrant foul could sideline him.

I do wish the best for him and hope he does pick Blue.

Very disappointing that a kid with all the talent in the world might spend half of his college career playing Portland State and Santa Clara in games that aren't even televised

Must've attended Josh Christopher's seminar on how to build your brand

But the other half of his career playing top 15 teams. Gonzaga's schedule every year is not a joke. Few is an established coach with a 20+ year career of winning conference titles and a long history of doing well in the tournament.

Howard on the other hand is still really new. While I think Howard is going to be a really good coach he is not in the same league now as Few.

Why goto the Zags if you’re a top recruit? You’ll play a handful of nationally televised games a year - even bottom feeder BIG games get more publicity.
