well my man giles jackson seemed to hint at a 2019 addition. should be an alright week or two in recruiting i would say.
November 27th, 2018 at 7:18 PM ^
That's crazy. Two dog names. Not a Georgia lad, eh?
November 27th, 2018 at 7:22 PM ^
Harrison Bailey sounds like a guy that is on the Harvard team.
The Harvard rowing team.
November 27th, 2018 at 7:26 PM ^
Or a good portion of the undergrads at M?
November 27th, 2018 at 7:32 PM ^
Yeah no. Bailey doesn't sound very Asian to me. Bai Lee maybe.
November 27th, 2018 at 8:48 PM ^
60.8% of U of M undergraduates are white, 13.6% are asian
November 27th, 2018 at 9:11 PM ^
Not on North Campus ?
November 28th, 2018 at 12:44 AM ^
Engineers are Asians. You're so fucking clever.
November 27th, 2018 at 7:53 PM ^
Sort of like Wilton Speight.
November 27th, 2018 at 8:49 PM ^
Don't you dare talk about old brittle bones that way.
November 27th, 2018 at 9:26 PM ^
How about those Bailey’s Mr Potter? You just can’t keep them down!
November 27th, 2018 at 7:27 PM ^
Just please tell me he has the athleticism to be a read option threat.
November 27th, 2018 at 7:41 PM ^
So against Ohio State he can line up under center and hand off to fullbacks?
November 27th, 2018 at 7:48 PM ^
Oh God damn! Pep had a family!
November 27th, 2018 at 8:22 PM ^
You put it that way - if I’m a recruit and a parent of a top QB recruit, do I really want my kid to go back in time and play 80s style football? Or do I want my kid to play for a team that will prepare him for the evolving NFL game?
November 27th, 2018 at 8:25 PM ^
You need to go away. This site is in desperate need of clean up.
November 27th, 2018 at 8:47 PM ^
You want a coach that can emphasize his strengths. Harbaugh needs to evolve yes, but he’s good at showcasing the talent of his QB. Also, most NFL teams are not going to adapt an air raid scheme. You still need to make smart decisions and and Harbaugh can teach the nuances of that too.
Finally, you talk about going to the NFL but how many successful pro QBs does Meyer have? One if you count Alex Smith and even then Harbaugh probably gets more credit. Meyer still gets good QBs that fit his system. Bailey wants to play in a pro style offense and his skill set would be a perfect fit for Harbaughs system. If he has enough athleticism to run a bit, and the accuracy and arm strength to pass downfield, he would be perfect.
November 27th, 2018 at 9:27 PM ^
Bailey is not McCaffrey but he is athletic enough. Excellent pocket sense, a nice quick release and above average arm strength.
November 27th, 2018 at 11:11 PM ^
The nfl is air raid these days.
Every division leader besides the cowboys sling the ball around the field. No one is running harbaughs offense.
Urban adjust to his qb. If his qb can throw he passes if he can run they focus more on the run.
November 28th, 2018 at 9:45 AM ^
I’d say the Rams have a similar identity to a Harbaughffense. One bad game (and it was mostly the defense that failed us) and everyone sees the offense as terrible. The offense is fine and scored a lot of points and went deep quite a bit.
November 27th, 2018 at 8:40 PM ^
Maybe I am misremembering, but it seemed like Michigan ran a lot of gun and only handed off the fullbacks in short yardage situations, which didn't happen much.
November 27th, 2018 at 8:18 PM ^
If a 6'5" 230 lbs "pocket passer" tells you anything...
November 27th, 2018 at 8:32 PM ^
Not really no. Plenty of tall pass first QB's are still a threat in the running game. You don't have to be able to out run the opposing teams secondary to extend a play or slow down a DE on a read option.
November 27th, 2018 at 8:34 PM ^
Andrew Luck is 6'4" and 240.
So no, it doesn't tell us anything.
November 27th, 2018 at 9:54 PM ^
I only care about how he fits into Cliff Kingsbury's system.
November 27th, 2018 at 7:34 PM ^
#59 in the 247 composite, he qualifies as a big pickup.
November 27th, 2018 at 8:23 PM ^
From Georgia too...
November 27th, 2018 at 10:38 PM ^
Harrison Bailey absolutely sounds like a Georgia quarterback's name.
November 27th, 2018 at 8:33 PM ^
He'll be a UM commit.
And apparently there's some highly ranked guys that want to play with him too.
Regardless, big get. Always big to get a highly ranked guy out of Georgia.
November 27th, 2018 at 8:35 PM ^
Holding on to him until signing day may he the real issue
November 27th, 2018 at 8:49 PM ^
Username checks out
November 27th, 2018 at 8:54 PM ^
I think we should only worry about him looking around if Pep leaves. I know he’s fond of him and even asked about that possibility with Michigan saying that Harbaugh is also a good QB coach and Michigan is trying to create a strong bond bw Harbaugh and the Baileys.
Baileys family is also close with the Pattersons so I believe that helps a lot.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:08 PM ^
I wouldn't be surprised if Pep leaves. I'm actually kind of expecting it. McElwain too.
November 27th, 2018 at 8:49 PM ^
aight
November 27th, 2018 at 9:37 PM ^
This isn't the guy, but it's another guy. We've known this guy's commitment date for a while.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:24 PM ^
When is the other guy going to publicly announce?
November 28th, 2018 at 9:39 AM ^
It was supposed to happen already, so I'm not sure why there's a delay.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:37 PM ^
I wish he was announcing at 3:00. I'd enjoy an extra 15 minutes of conjecture.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:39 PM ^
Brother ran his numbers through his database, Harrison would be the best of the crop behind Dylan if he ends up joining. Would be a great pickup.
November 28th, 2018 at 10:38 PM ^
Tennessee bound
November 28th, 2018 at 10:44 PM ^
looks like it - all the crystal balls changing to Tennessee
