I’m weirdly nervous. 31-24 UM.
September 21st, 2018 at 1:32 PM ^
There is a chance that they make this a close game, but we've gotten better with each game. If we continue to improve I see us dominating. If we still have issues, lhey have a chance at the upset.
Upset: 24-27, victory 45-17
September 21st, 2018 at 7:47 PM ^
Could it be that one of the reasons our offense appears to have been improving is that we've played successively weaker opponents?
September 21st, 2018 at 10:42 PM ^
So did NEB. Just saying.

31 - 13 Michigan

38-17 good guys.
September 21st, 2018 at 1:12 PM ^
I'm never good at this.
38 - 17. Despite being severely out-hit by the Fighting Scott Frost's, Michigan cruises to an easy victory, with 10 of Nebraska's points having been scored in garbage time.
September 21st, 2018 at 1:15 PM ^
The bar is high in that space between sad James Franklin FGs and manic last minute drives down two scores at home and going for two and failing spectacularly a la Dantonio. Frost will no doubt seek to add his name to the Defeated with Dignity Hall of Fame.

63-6 "Wolverwhines" over Cornfuckers

42-10 good guys

Michigan 30, Nebraska 19

UM 30 NEB 21
September 21st, 2018 at 3:03 PM ^
My exact prediction.
Frost's offense will probably score two TDs to keep things interesting, but Michigan will pull away and then Nebraska will get a garbage-time TD late.

27-1, Michigan.
September 21st, 2018 at 1:19 PM ^
27-21. Michigan. Fan mood remains cantankerous. All snowflake threads except special teams will be unpleasant. 1/3 of the season will be over and very little joy will have been had. We will be the crankiest 3-1 fan base in the country.
September 21st, 2018 at 1:32 PM ^
We could win 60-0 and still be the crankiest fan base in America. Personally I’m always salty as fuck about something.
September 21st, 2018 at 1:45 PM ^
Well, you do live in Columbus which has to handicap you a little in the joy department.
September 21st, 2018 at 4:38 PM ^
Agree. 42-14 Michigan and the board still won’t be happy.

I already have my Saturday afternoon hot takes ready to go.

September 21st, 2018 at 1:24 PM ^
Going to be a really good game. Back and forth relatively close, but Michigan's special teams are going to make some great plays. Punt return for TD and 3 FGs ... makes the difference in an otherwise defensive game.
Michgan 30 - Nebraska 14
September 21st, 2018 at 1:24 PM ^
28-10 good guys.
September 21st, 2018 at 1:25 PM ^
I think Michigan will score more points than Nebraska. Anything more specific than that and I have nothing to offer. I can't get a handle on Michigan. I can't get a handle on Nebraska.
September 21st, 2018 at 1:27 PM ^
I have no clue, but I feel confident is saying Michigan will win.
Hoping to see something like:
Michigan 38 - Nebraska 10, but wouldn't be surprised if it's closer to something like 31-21 Michigan winning.
September 21st, 2018 at 1:27 PM ^
42-7 Meechigan.
Huskers only score comes in garbage time.

20-14 Nebraska (Celtic pride logic)
September 21st, 2018 at 1:30 PM ^
42-14 Michigan. The fighting Forst still out hits us, but not by a big enough margin to brag about like last time.
September 21st, 2018 at 1:31 PM ^
Michigan wins 24-14 in points
Nebraska somehow wins 900-2 in hits
September 21st, 2018 at 1:35 PM ^
33-31 Nebraska
September 21st, 2018 at 1:50 PM ^
No way Nebraska scores 31 on Michigan.
September 21st, 2018 at 1:59 PM ^
I agree. That's why I said 33
September 21st, 2018 at 2:05 PM ^
Interesting. So how does this go down? Martinez plays and we can't contain him on the ground? Bad turnovers deep in our territory? A four overtime game where the actual score was 13-13?
If we were to lose the game, I think the most likely scenario is that our non-SMU offense shits the bed and we lose like 17-13. A high scoring loss did not enter my mind.
September 21st, 2018 at 2:25 PM ^
I have PTSD.
Weird stuff seems to happen against Nebraska. The 2005 Alamo Bowl, for example. The Denard boo-boo game. Remember 2013 when they had the ABSOLUTE WORST run defense in college football? They were giving up like 220 ypg on the ground and they held us to negative yards rushing. If I were betting I would not actually pick Nebraska, but I just feel funny about this game. I know, great take.
September 21st, 2018 at 2:35 PM ^
Oh no, I share your funny business feelings as well. I was just curious as to how both of these offensively challenged teams racked up those numbers.
September 21st, 2018 at 2:49 PM ^
If they ain’t getting 31, there not getting 33 either. With a frosh QB. Nonetheless.
September 21st, 2018 at 1:36 PM ^
If Martinez plays: 31 - 17 Michigan
If Martinez is still hurt: 38 - 9 Michigan
Over/under on rationalizations offered by Scott Frost on how this loss is actually a positive for his team: 8
