Malik McDowell Update: Says He Won't Be Visiting Other Schools

Submitted by KSmooth on

According to the Detroit News:

Malik McDowell is still "solid" about his commitment to Michigan State.  Visits to Ohio State and Florida State are on hold.

Do you? I mean I've got a couple bills to pay this week, but I'm pretty wide open as far as recruiting that involves our in state rivals involvement with a top recruit.

In other news apparently eternally relevant to Michigan:  Hand says he's "solid" on his commitment to Alabama.  It's important that we know that.

Can someone please remind us in a couple of weeks in case we forget?

How about we create a thread every time somebody TALKS about McDowell wanting to go to MSU but doesn't?  That would open up a whole new world of useless threads about a player who seemingly never wanted to go to UM.  Plus, I'm sure Brian loves the pageviews.

So in an honest and related question: Who is the best player that MSU has developed in the NFL on defense since dantonio has been there? I'm truly curious actually - it's not snark. It's the perpetual argument I hear.

where is mother is in the stands covered in State gear from head to toe while some announcer recounts this recruiting story.  I also see a dominating Michigan defense which leaves the television audience wondering what kind of career Malik might have had at Michigan.

when we put forth a dominat defensive team like MSU has in the past few years, logic dictates the best prepsters will regain interest. This one is over; we really don't want someone who prefers to be somewhere else anyways. You select M due to the sum reflecting all of the parts. It's simple logic and that is why, historically, we always garner our share of the best. This young man needs to be at MSU because that is where his heart is, and although they haven't really developed "NFL" caliber talent with the studs they've had on the DL, there can be no doubt they've, definitetly, got them to perform at all BIG status. Kudos to their defensive staff, and good luck in E. Lansing, young man. Wish you nothing but the best.

(Insert comment here about why this should be a thread and we need to stop talking about this because he isn't going to Michigan, and we need to move on)

It just seems strange to continue to post about this family until a decision is made that results in a signed letter of intent.

If it's UM, then great..........but probably not likely.

Otherwise, wish him the best.......and his momma too.

One of my sparty friends says a lot of this is about a girlfriend either he met up there or who is going there. Does this have any validity?

I am just wondering if this kid will actually be good or not. Seems like he has a lot of issues. If he does make the NFL, he seems like the odds of him getting into financial trouble because of some family member stealing and spending all his money are pretty high.

His family members are going to steal him of his money? Where in the world are you pulling that from? The kid has 'a lot of issues'? Like, issues of spiderman comics or mental issues? Because one of those is really not your place to talk about.

STOP MAKING THINGS UP ABOUT THIS HIGH SCHOOL KID AND HIS FAMILY.
