It's supposed to be a Red Rye PA (Founders) clone, but it's not as hoppy as I would have liked. However, the alcohol content is ~8.5 percent, so it will do the trick!

Having a couple White Russians before switching to beer.

In some thrilling news, I heard that my favorite bar in town - from which I was banned for life - recently took down their Banned-for-Life list. So I'll be heading there tonight! Wish me luck

Here goes nothing...

Some friends across country and I started sending each other videos of us doing dumb shit at bars... So at this particular bar, a couple years ago, I started pissing all over the patio, with my phone out, recording, and got busted.

Sure enough, I was welcomed back with open arms, and was completely behaved!

I'm drinking the regular black crown. I take a drink each time I see a complaint about Borges, two for Funk, and three for Hoke. Five drinks if Hand comes to mind. I'm gonna need more than a twelve pack.

It's nice to have a nice brewery in Iowa on the level of the great ones in Michigan.  Toppling Goliath Pseudo Sue is on the beer menu along with some Clown Shoes beers I've picked up a while back.  Not exactly matching beers, but good.

On the topic of beer talk, anybody else pick up the Goose Island beers put out over the past few weeks, the "Sisters" so to speak (Gillian, Halia, Juliet, Lolitta?)

is a phenomenal brewer and you're lucky to live close enough to get it on the regular. I traded for a PseudoSue and Sosus a couple months ago. The PseudoSue especially was stellar.

I've had Gillian and Halia and both are great if you like sours and don't mind the price.

Not drinking tonight but I did pick up a couple of Pipeworks Brewing bombers the other day, Glaucus(Belgian IPA) and What Lurks in the Dark(oatmeal stout). Really good up and coming brewery in Chicago for any of you MgoBloggers in town looking for something different. It's in Bucktown on Western Ave, not too far from Evanston. http://www.ratebeer.com/brewers/pipeworks-brewing-company/10970/
