When does the mercy rule go into effect for the NFL? Is it 30 points? Jesus.
November 13th, 2011 at 6:44 PM ^
Sorry....it only occurs after three successive defensive touchdowns....bad break for us
November 13th, 2011 at 6:29 PM ^
my prediction.
I will say......Bears: A LOT...Lions: not very much.
Thank God for Redzone...cause thats what i be watching now!
November 13th, 2011 at 6:29 PM ^
I am glad I started the Bears defense.
November 13th, 2011 at 6:32 PM ^
This is an awful performance by Stafford, but he is just 23 and has played less than 30 games.
November 13th, 2011 at 6:34 PM ^
Stafford's lack of a hair cut is just as bad as his decisions today.
November 13th, 2011 at 6:35 PM ^
Stafford should be pulled for Hill. Those two interceptions were absolutely terrible and he has been off the whole game. I think his shoulder is hurt again because he has had that weird sidearm throwing motion for the past few weeks and I never noticed it at the beginning of the season.
November 13th, 2011 at 6:37 PM ^
F stafford for real, he didn't even attempt to make the tackle when he could've. They showed flacco Make the tackle. Bench stafford for a game, teach him a lesson he literally cost this team 3 games now. The 49ers game he never hustled at the end, atl he blew, SEC trash is what he is.
November 13th, 2011 at 6:50 PM ^
Being as fragile as he is Stafford was probably right not trying for the tackle there. He is a really good QB who is young and not playing his best game tonight.
November 13th, 2011 at 6:39 PM ^
starts at 9.
Just sayin.
November 13th, 2011 at 6:46 PM ^
If you aren't watching Walking Dead you aren't right.
Appointment TV right there.
November 13th, 2011 at 6:50 PM ^
TiVo to the rescue
I watch Boardwalk Empire, The Walking Dead, Homeland, and Dexter
November 13th, 2011 at 6:46 PM ^
AdamSchefter Adam Schefter
Initial tests showed that Bengals CB Leon Hall, who signed a $39 million extension in September, tore his Achilles. Adam Jones in next.
November 13th, 2011 at 6:52 PM ^
I guess we can just say today isnt their day. Johnson dropped 2 touchdown passes. TE drops another, and stafford isnt as accurate. Its just one of those days. The lions will be alright.
November 13th, 2011 at 6:52 PM ^
Walking Dead on the replay @11. Then the new series Hell on Wheels (seems to have promise).
But i agree Dude...must see tv...gotta love zombies...
November 13th, 2011 at 6:54 PM ^
when you are down 37-6 the clock moves like a glacier??
November 13th, 2011 at 6:56 PM ^
Said 9-7 before the season. Looks about right. Still have a chance at the playoffs. As ugly as today has been, it only counts as one loss. Still 6-3.
November 13th, 2011 at 7:18 PM ^
Lions are dominating on defense but Stafford and our receivers handed the game to them.
November 13th, 2011 at 7:23 PM ^
Keep repeating that
November 13th, 2011 at 7:22 PM ^
NO REASON to even have Stafford in the game in the 4th.
If he was to get seriously hurt Schwartz would/could/should be out of a job.
November 13th, 2011 at 7:22 PM ^
Nope and they're also a bunch of dirtballs. Nice game Stafford, you planet headed douche. He deserves all the shit he's getting. Go Bears!
November 13th, 2011 at 7:46 PM ^
WOW. A Bears fan making fun of our QB when you have the ultimate fucking douchebag Quitler on your side. Come back when Stafford decides to snooze on the sideline in the biggest game of his career because of some BS knee injury instead of going back into a winnable game.
November 13th, 2011 at 8:04 PM ^
That Cutler tore his MCL in the NFC title game, right? And that he did play through it? But when he couldn't plant/throw like he needed to, he got pulled.
Questioning a guy's toughness when he tore an MCL is bush-league. You play behind that O-line for a drive and see how tough you are.
Stafford however acted like a bitch, throwing Moore down by his helmet, then running away from the ensuing scrum. I like Stafford, I think he will be good, but he threw 4 picks today, and pulled some bullshit in that fight.
November 13th, 2011 at 8:46 PM ^
Tore his vagina! He stayed out and got hammered by his own teammates. He wasn't hurt and never did rehab or have surgery.
November 13th, 2011 at 9:08 PM ^
His teammates all supported him. He got pulled, not asked to come out. The offense went better after he left, he was injured.
November 13th, 2011 at 11:16 PM ^
His D ripped him the next day in the press.
November 13th, 2011 at 8:08 PM ^
Quitter? Who threw his hands up at Johnson instead of trying to make a tackle on a pick-6? Who made a jackass play that resulted in a fight? Stafford is a full on bitch. Funny how Lions fans bag on Cutler when their quarterback can't play a full season and blames his mistakes on others. Fairly and Suh are dirtbags. The announcers proclaimed it as well if you weren't listening. Detroit is a dirty team just like it's streets.
November 13th, 2011 at 8:24 PM ^
Oh man what a comeback, "Detroit is a dirty team just like it's streets". Man you are so good, Sinbad might need an opening act, and you sir seem to have just the talent.
Stafford had his worst day as a pro, and Chicago was clearly the better team today. I also find it funny how Chicago fans praise Cutler, I know the feeling of not having a franchise QB for over 30 years but my god he's a middle of the pack QB. Go ahead and call Fairley and Suh dirtbags, I would gladly take the Lions bright future over what the Bears look like when Urlacher retires and Briggs signs with another team. Since Millen is gone Jerry DeAngelo has taken over the role of worst GM in the league.
I will never understand why people still rip on the city of Detroit, it's gone through a lot and doesn't need any outside negative douchbaggery from people who don't ever go there. Most Chicago fans are all the same, the "I finally care about hockey cause we just won a cup," or the self entitled Bears fans, or even the Hawk Harrelson loving Sox fans. Keep it classy.

Mom is dirty.
November 13th, 2011 at 8:22 PM ^
Quilter? Jay Cutler missed one half of football in his Bears tenure. How many games has Stafford missed?
November 13th, 2011 at 8:40 PM ^
Quilter was a pussy is all, not in reference to time missed. He barely got hurt and pusses out of a game that was huge last year. Maybe google....bears fans wanting to kill their pussy qb. That will help ya.
November 13th, 2011 at 9:39 PM ^
Stafford would puss out of a critical game for his team, but he can't get them there. Lions haven't played GB or New Orleans yet. They got a free win versus Tebow. The Bears are clearly the better team. Cutler could throw lobs to Johnson just like Stafford. You can watch film on him lobbing to Marshall in Denver for proof.
November 13th, 2011 at 11:00 PM ^
Neither team is going to win anything. The Packers are going to jail sex them, if the Saints or 49ers don't get them first. At least the Lions are improving and building for the future, while the Bears are regressing.
November 14th, 2011 at 12:14 AM ^
They started off 2-3 and have won 4 straight while Detroit has been fading fast. I think you mixed up the Lions/Bears, big guy.
November 14th, 2011 at 12:27 AM ^
In term of franchise, yes they are regressing. They are old on defense aside from the safety postion, their offense is decent but nothing to write home about besides Forte. The lions indeed have a brighter future provided they address the O-line issues in the off season. The Lions core nucleus of Stafford (bad game today, yes I know), Calvin Johnson, Jahvid Best, Suh, Levy, and Delmas (all draft picks) are arguably one of the best young units in the league. They will be contending in the north for years to come.
November 14th, 2011 at 6:44 PM ^
0 wins to 2 wins to 6 wins to 6 wins already.
9 wins to 7 wins to 11 wins to 6 wins already.
To improve on last year the Lions have to win one of 7 games. With the Panthers and Vikings at home.
To improve on last year the Bears have to win 6 of...7 games remaining. With the Chargers, Raiders, Chiefs, Broncos, and Pack on the schedule.
If the Lions make the playoffs, they've made a huge step.
The Bears aren't going to win the division again, and would have to make the NFC Championship game to match what they did last year. Unlikely.
Progression. Regression.
November 14th, 2011 at 1:25 AM ^
The Bears needed two picks 6's and a punt return to get to 37. Duh Bears had 191 yards of offense and Forte did little. Duh Bears.
November 13th, 2011 at 7:45 PM ^
Not a good feeling.....
November 13th, 2011 at 8:35 PM ^
37-13 tehee
November 13th, 2011 at 8:43 PM ^
I do not think the Lions are not for real and will fail. F, no playoffs again! The Bears though will implode, because Cuntler is a pussy.
November 13th, 2011 at 9:31 PM ^
November 13th, 2011 at 9:41 PM ^
SD is in Detroit, so I'll give the Lions 65% winning change. Even better.
November 13th, 2011 at 9:44 PM ^
I loved Tom Brady at UM - I love all our players.
But am I wrong to love watching him lose with New England?
November 14th, 2011 at 11:59 AM ^
Does that mean you didn't watch him & the Pats beat the Jets 37-16?
November 13th, 2011 at 10:29 PM ^
being injured with not being tough. Sure, Stafford has been hurt quite a bit, but don't forget the game against Cleveland, where he insisted on going back in the game with a separated shoulder to finish off the winning drive.
All guys are different, and I find it difficult to question Cutler's toughness with as much as he gets knocked around in Martz's offense and keeps getting up.
However, when it comes to the playoffs, the menatality has to be different. Remember, Philip RIvers played with a torn ACL in the '07 AFC title game.
November 14th, 2011 at 10:40 AM ^
Howeva (ala Brian) dont discount the fact that the ACL and MCL support different motions/forces within the knee. Not to downplay what Rivers did (very tough) but you don't need your ACL to throw a football. The ACL helps mainly with cutting and twisting - you often see it torn on a hit from the side. My dad doesn't have 1 ACL (tore it back in high school and they never really repaired it) and he can do everything just fine. But when we used to play basketball, I knew he couldn't cut one direction off that leg, you plant to twist, and it just doesnt work. Also, I dont know if Rivers used a brace or not, but they have braces that prevent your knee from giving out due to ACL injuries. It's what my dad used for 6 months after he tore the other ACL and before he had the surgery.
Basically, I think both of them were tough, but Rivers was tough and able to physically perform. Cutler wasnt. He threw a couple balls that were dead, he couldn't plant and throw.
November 14th, 2011 at 12:55 AM ^
The defense played a good game. Stafford, special teams and the receivers turned this game into a blow out loss.
Hopefully Stafford will bounce back next week and play much better!
November 14th, 2011 at 1:39 AM ^
Not sure where all the Bears-Lions hate is coming from. Don't we both just really hate Green Bay?
As a Bears fan, I don't hate the Lions. It's like hating Indiana football.
November 14th, 2011 at 9:21 AM ^
Those were the real Lions.
