Credit goes to kev.phelps for the information.
Michigan @ Iowa gametime is set for 12:00 EDT, per Iowa Athletics website...

Personally, I wish it had been set to start later. I hate waking up before 12:00 on the weekends...

THANK THE FOOTBALL GODS!!!!
I have a 3:30 (central time) wedding to attend. And a Hawkeye-Wolverine couple none-the-less (nice planning "fans")
I now can watch the game in my hotel room and drink pre-wedding!

noon games are killing me
October 24th, 2011 at 1:16 PM ^
I don't remember a season within the past 5 years or so when we've had so many noon starts. I don't mind a couple of noon games, but this many has really put a damper on my tailgating enthusiasm... not that I won't go all out anyways... but I'd prefer a 330 every now and then.
October 24th, 2011 at 1:28 PM ^
3:30 is best, but I like noon better than night games. I can't watch other college games and enjoy them until after Michigan has played.
At least it's not BTN.
October 24th, 2011 at 12:55 PM ^
It is virtually always at noon.
Sparty, @Lincoln NE is also at noon ET, I believe. Which makes it an 11am game local time. Those are hard games for opponents. Wisconsin has a staggeringly good record in its "11 am" games. I'm not sure if Bielema has ever lost one.
It sure would be great to hear what a Carl Grapentine announcement of a Cornhuskers winning score would sound like in Michigan Stadium.
October 24th, 2011 at 9:20 PM ^
It is never good to hear anything that Carl Grapentine says. He is the worst stadium announcer in the history of stadiums or announcers. Can't wait for him to retire.

Think those nooners are hard for you? Noon start = 9am on West Coast.
October 24th, 2011 at 1:05 PM ^
Damn right, I have to pour beer on my Cheerios just to make sure i get the day started with the most important meal and pregaming all in one.

I actually for the most part agree with you. I can sleep in, wake up and make a more hearty breakfast than the "grab something and run out the door" weekday version, and then sit down at the coffee table with a huge mug of coffee and enjoy my weekly "Breakfast with the Wolverines".
October 24th, 2011 at 1:13 PM ^
The Nebraska game better be 3:30. It'd be awesome to have an half of football under the lights.
October 24th, 2011 at 1:16 PM ^
i like the noon start time, especially on the road. i would rather not play a late afternoon or night game in Iowa City.
October 24th, 2011 at 1:16 PM ^
not be another 3:30 game this season. Don't think they will move The Game from noon. Wisconsin, maybe, but unlikely. Illinois? Would like one more 3:30.

Although absolutely nothing wrong at all having beer and donuts !!!

Unless we or they tailspin. What time is the B1G championship game on Dec 3?
October 24th, 2011 at 1:28 PM ^
9 am. Really throw us all for a loop. Hah.

October 24th, 2011 at 1:27 PM ^
I'm surprised Iowa wouldn't want a night game. You know, since everyone loves playing us as a night game.
October 24th, 2011 at 1:36 PM ^
I don't know if it is a rule or not, but I remeber hearing somewhere that the Big 10 does not allow nightgames in November.
October 24th, 2011 at 2:35 PM ^
My memory might be fuzzy, but didn't they move the 2006 game against OSU to an 8pm start? Or was it just a 3:30 and got winter dark fast?
October 24th, 2011 at 3:20 PM ^
That was an odd 4:30 start. One of the worst nights of my life.
October 24th, 2011 at 5:34 PM ^
2006 OSU was at 3:30. I think the MSU home game that year was a 4:30 start. The 2008 game at PSU was also a 4:30.
October 24th, 2011 at 6:38 PM ^
2004 Braylonfest against MSU was a 4:30 start. Up until this year, that was the latest a game had ever started at the big house.
2006 OSU was originally going to be a noon start, just like it had been for 22 of the previous 23 meetings. But because it was #1 vs. #2, it was moved to 4:30. I believe that was the latest a UM/OSU game ever started as well. The MSU game that year was 3:30.
October 24th, 2011 at 9:24 PM ^
MSU at 4;30 was grand. I'd like to see more of those.

NO night games in the BI6 after Nov. 1.

The worst thing about a 9 kick off out here is that Pam Ward can ruit an entire day.
She's doing the Purdue game this week, right? Please have laryngitis, please have laryngitis, please have laryngitis.
October 24th, 2011 at 3:04 PM ^
She's not doing the game this week. Pam Ward is stuck on ESPNU. Beth Mowins is doing the game this week and she's much better than Pam is.

About the only good thing with this particular Noon start is that I'll have time to find a place to watch LSU/Bama for their game. I'm just making an assumption CBS does the smart thing and plays the biggest game of the season in a later/prime-time spot
October 24th, 2011 at 2:41 PM ^
Some friends and I are going to this game. Anyone know of any good hotels and/or friendly confines for UofM fans to tailgate at?
October 24th, 2011 at 11:32 PM ^
The Alumni Association Tailgate is three hours before kickoff near the baseball field. I've never been but that's where I will be.
October 25th, 2011 at 9:34 AM ^
October 24th, 2011 at 2:51 PM ^
If you are going to the game, why wouldn't you tailgate in a normal spot like the golf course or other nearby lots? This isn't Northwestern where tailgating is sparse.
October 24th, 2011 at 3:28 PM ^
I'm doing a presentation at a fantasy baseball conference and I'm up at 1:30 ET, meaning I'll miss the second half. Of course, if there's OT, I can watch it!!!!

It's what 11am time, so while I don't know if I'll say "their players will be sleep"...there fans might be.
Also this is definitely going to be an easier crowd than trying to play at 8pm.
ALSO it should get warmer as the day goes along rather than colder...IMO that impacts our player better who seem to struggle in any kind of weather.
October 24th, 2011 at 9:31 PM ^
For me a noon game means it gets recorded while I fish or check my crab traps.
October 24th, 2011 at 9:43 PM ^
Can't we get any 3:30 games? We are ranked!!
October 24th, 2011 at 11:41 PM ^
because I'm driving back home to Michigan after the game.
October 25th, 2011 at 12:30 AM ^
Noon games are a drag. Who determines the time of the game? B1G? the home team? networks? anyone know?
