Gorgeous T-Shirt
Someone with creative skills please, please, please create an Mgoshirt with Al's mug on it that just says 'Gorgeous' below the pic.
I would buy 9 of them and create a softball team so I had a place to distribute and stare at awe at said shirts.
Anyone?

Apparently licensing something with "God" in it is a no go. Frowns.

Dammit. You could split it in two lines?

That would make it difficult to make a t-shirt for my favorite Samuel Beckett play, "Waiting for Godot"

The other one I made was the picture with murderous rage face of Brian Kelly and U Mad Bro? and on the back was "I am still waiting for your return" - Glory. That one was a huge hit with the ND fans.

I agree. I'm not very creative with design stuff, but I've been wanting a "Gorgeous Al Borges" shirt if someone can design one.
Then again, his "gorgeousness" is directly correlated with how many zone reads he calls, in my mind.

I see what you did there. The two pictures of Al Borges on the left and the one picture of Uncle Fester on the right. Clever.
....wait?

Marlon brando in Apocalypse Now

I hate to pick on the guy--which it seems like this shirt would be doing.
His kids are cute, if that is any redemption. Granted they've got nothing on Desmond Howard's little cherubs.
ETA: Do any ubernerds like me have a hard time NOT pronouncing his name Bor-Hayes? Damn those literature classes!

This, my friend, is a seriously underexplored source of t-shirt/nickname ideas. The entire offensive roster as creatures in the Book of Imaginary Beings? Denard as a peryton?
September 21st, 2011 at 3:49 PM ^
Or for people who speak Spanish.
Also, I don't think this would be picking on him, but instead playing with his last name.
September 21st, 2011 at 5:32 PM ^
It explains his offensive playcalling now... he is just trying to exhaust all possible combinations of plays and players thereby rendering the need to play the game at all completely redundant. While we sit in despair as the offseason becomes eternal, the only threads on the board will be heated philosophical arguments as to whether we have infinite wins or infinite losses.

Given mgoblog's recent legal tango with the school over using player and coach likenesses in t-shirts, this is probably a no-go for the mgostore.

I thought you just can't use student athletes, right?

If I recall, there was a tiff about Lloyd and Bo shirts too
September 21st, 2011 at 10:57 AM ^
I'm not sure about the Lloyd one, but, IIRC, the Bo one was because Bo has a foundation so his likeness was considered a trademark infringement.
September 21st, 2011 at 2:00 PM ^
Yes, this. They then worked out a deal for the foundation, and the shirts can be purchased again. Everyone wins.
September 21st, 2011 at 10:55 AM ^
Nobody has a trademark on beauty. Only God can regulate such things.
September 21st, 2011 at 12:29 PM ^
Correct. Players are forbidden and coaches would have to agree to it.
We didn't really have a tiff with the Bo Foundation. They reached out and said "hey, that's not cool" and we said "agreed, license us and we will collectively raise money for heart research" and they said "okay." It just took some time.

Selling them, no. But nothing to stop us from making our own. There's a million webservices for this, and all you need is the image....
September 21st, 2011 at 7:43 PM ^
Roll your own but likely the 'clever ones' will have bound themselves to an agreement with the t-shirt company, no? If they violate that agreement then they may be responsible for contractual damages and indemnification (what the t-shirt company pays out should it lose or settle). The company will have your contact and financial information. I appreciate the notion but, man, you probably shouldn't go there. Not to mention that it's disrespectful all fun here aside.

You posted more than surname, you included an image. The image doesn't rhyme. So why did you include it? Don't answer please. I simply do not wish for others to step into a mess. Why hoist up coaching staff for reasons unrelated to their performance and beyond their control? That is all.

where you get this waxy paper and print the image onto the paper, then iron it onto a shirt. I did this for a Halloween costume where I dressed up as Wooderson from Dazed and Confused and I made his Ted Nugent shirt. I think they're called Avery t-shirt transfers at Office Max or similar store. It's very cheap and easy.

I know this isn't worthy of it's own thread so this is perfect timing. Behind Fritzy on the FSN show there is a shirt with a Denard silhouette on it. If it isn't Denard, who the hell is it? Has this been covered before? Maize and blue, winged helmet, dreads for days. Where can I get one? In the words of Liz Lemon, "I want to go to there."

I was in Ann Arbor for the ND game and I saw a guy wearing a black tshirt with RoboCop on it and Detroit written underneath it.
Does anyone know where I can get that? Looked online and couldn't find it.

just did detroit robocop shirt and you will get plenty of options and places to buy it.
