Agreed. FIRST!!!
Good look at the end there. Nothing to be ashamed of.
ugggggh.
i love this team.
Great season. Way to go down fighting.
Great season. Way to go down fighting.
Unbelievable to get that kind of look and not get it...
I thought we cahed in our heartbreaker chips against Wisconsin.
We were due!!!
Morris had been hitting that shot all day...so unfortunate
Morris had been hitting that shot all day...so unfortunate
But that sucked, and was incredibly deflating after that late game run. However, this team should be better next year and things are looking up for MBB program. Great effort indeed though. GO BLUE!
Great effort. That Duke team has a lot of size, experience & talent; Nothing to be ashamed of.
Great season and the future bright!
And don't forget their guys in the stripes.
Great season, and the future looks bright.
Go Blue!
Great game. Love these guys.
Next year THJ takes off for the lob on that and slams it home and I HATE DUKE!
I thought the same - he was coming in open. No issue with Morris taking the shot but sweet things tend to happen when Morris creates.
So proud of the fight in this team. I hope they use it as motivation for next year.
Very exciting. We'll be back next year for sure.
An excellent run to end the season. We'll win some of those games vs. top 5 opponents next year, that's for sure.
really proud of this team and coaching staff. just sad that the season is over.
wish we could all be there to applaud them and thank them for a great year.
looking forward to great things to come.
I hate duke and RIMS so much
What a game. I absolutely love this team and its future. It was nice to see Duke sweating, just wish we could have extended to OT.
Wanted to go for the win with a three in the corner.

<br>Great season, nothing to be ashamed about. Really looking forward to next year football and basketball now!
It's natural to think that way but D Mo was running down the court and may not have been aware of where everyone was. Even if he was, the pass could've been tipped or our guy could have been covered by the time he put up the shot. Morris was hitting that runner today too, so as much as I would have liked to see a 3, I think he made the right play by driving.
Great season with a hard fought finish. Next year we close out more of these tight games against #1 teams.
was the most open option available.
If D-Mo had eyes in the back of his head, he would have been able to see Stu Douglass open behind him. And Tim wasn't open when Darius was at the top of the key.
He got off a clean runner. That's a good shot.
Look at the last play again. Douglas is WIDE WIDE open to Darius's right. I mean nobody within 15 feet of him open. There's the shot for the win.
Not being critical at ALL of Darius taking the shot though. Just saying if you want the 3 there was a better look than Timmy available.
Definitely. They could have packed it in a couple of times and no one would have said a word, but they fought the whole way through against a great time and came up just a little short. Already looking forward to next season!
A lot of people quit on this team during the game but these guys believe in each other and respond every time they are down. Johnny B. should be coach of the year in this fans opinion.
Excellent game guys. Some people are bitching on the radio bout the last shot. This team did better than EVERYONES expectations!!! Great Season and get ready for an even better 2011-2012 SEASON!!!!!!! GO BLUE!!!!
Anyone who bitches about the last shot should be kicked in the nuts.
I can't believe some people are taking shots at Morris for that shot. He put the team on his shoulders down the stretch like he's done all year and got an open shot he's hit all year. Some shots you make, others you don't. But we wouldn't have had a shot, in this game or in the season if it wasn't for Morris.
You can't get a better look with 8 seconds left and you have to go the length of the court. Sure it would have been nice to get it to the hot hand in Hardaway, but he can't handle the ball like Morris.
I'm really starting to believe that Joh Beilein will build a pretty damn good basketball program.
Go Blue!
So bummed it is over. What a great few months.
i'm sure the dookies had to run off the court quickly to change their shorts.
i can't think of a team with so much heart; especially considering their youth.
Great game by the young upstart Wolverines.
And in other news, OSU is losing to George Mason.
Good game. I thought this would be a close one and that M would beat the spread, but they unfortunately didn't have what it took to beat Duke in the third round. We were definitely helped by Duke missing quite a few FTs in the first half, but we were clearly the lesser of the two teams--against a squad returning two starters from last year's Tournament Champion team.
Bottom line, we have limitless potential and I think we represented extremely well against No. 1 and No. 2 teams this year. I'm amazed we managed to get so many top-2 match-ups this year, but that's what happens when you play in the B1G, schedule an OOC vs. Kansas, and play #1 Duke in the third round. Returning 100% of the starters from this year's team, as well as having some seniors, will help next year. We're definitely looking at a solid NCAA Tourney team in 2011-2012.
even a former duke player admitted to some home cooking from the refs in this one. i appreciate his honesty.
Great game. Many thought we wouldbe blown out and eaten alive by Duke, but 73-71 is not a blow out. We stayed with them for much of it and came damn near at the end. This makes me feel warm and fuzzy about next season in the Big Ten and even in the Tournament. Excellent times ahead, for sure. GO BLUE!
The team is so young...good things are coming down the road. AND we swept MSU. That feels good whether MSU had a down year or not.
MBB is back on the map.
Nothing but pride for the team. I was texting with one of my MSU boys and he said he is jealous of the heart of our team. Sparty is definitely going the opposite direction. Love the team and future, Can't wait for Brundidge and Burke next season.
Today was still a good day even though I missed a triple double by one point.
I know I probably speak for a lot of us when I say that I am very proud of this team. They're really young and faced some big time adversity early in the season when 1-6 and last in the B1G. They fought back, turned around their season and gave the 1 seed a run for their money in the NCAA Tourney. Bright future for these guys and kudos for the coaching staff for developing these young players both physically and mentally so quickly.
Duke is not just a #1 seed. They are the defending national champions. It doesn't make this game a literal win for us, but it adds to why I am so damn proud of our guys.
We are going to start out next season ranked #15. Of course, that number will get smaller and smaller as the season progresses.
been a Michigan fan since I was 5 and this is probably the proudest time I can remember
Very proud of this team...
I'm happy for Coach Belein. Some people doubted him, he stuck to his plan and look what happened. He recruits smart guys to fit his system and guess what, it works.
To small and live by the three. Can't think of one team that won anything with that theory
