MBB vs. Duke Open Thread
Nice! I Like the intensity in this shot.
What is up with Morris? Hurt?
is the pair of douches announcing the game. Clark K and his tOSU bias and Nantz with his ACC woody. Otherwise GO BLUE!
Nantz bringing up and pissing on the Fab Five?
With ever increasing disdain as well.
Duke vs. the Fab Five, revisited. Nothing could be further from the truth.
This game will be Duke vs. Duke. If we win it will be because of defense, 3 pointers, and free throws. It will not be run and gun and lobbing alley-oops to our dominant Center. To win, we will need to out-Duke Duke.
Sorry to dissapoint you mister Nantz, but here is no Fab Five story here.
True as truth.
They're the one's with 1 and done players.
an encore!
They're not feeling that sense of overachievement, there here to win!
Go Blue! (our Blue, tyvm...)
Vengeance for the Five!
Two words: Just win.
LETS GO BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHOCK THE WORLD
at least we have the North Carolina fans on our side today
If Duke and OSU lose today it has the potential to be one of the best days of all time
"It was my first Division I game as a Division I coach -- at Duke," Beilein recalled of the Dec. 1, 1992, game at Cameron Indoor Stadium, in which Duke beat Canisius, 110-62. "We walked into the shoot-around It was like a weekday game. We walked into the shoot-around and there was Krzyzewskiville set up. I go, 'Damn.' I said, 'They're set up in Krzyzewskiville to play Canisius?' I asked somebody, 'You're set up, camping out for the Canisius games?'
<br>
<br>"He said, 'Heck, no, we play Michigan this weekend.' And so how ironic is that right now."
Jerseys!!!!!
Black shoes and black socks
Like Jalen said that day in South Bend: "It's going down!"
Sew on some big bold Block M's
we are right where we want to be.... shock the world
Barkley SHUT UP! Once again saying we are sooo young so we can't win.
Big Chuck is saying we are too young to beat Duke. Lets shock the world!! Stick to our gameplan and make Duke play our game. Just win!
when the Fabs played, nothing new...
Is it on the radio?
Screw Duke.
That's TURRIBLE.
Seeing Chuck wheeze through the past couple of years, I'm beginning to realize why he never fulfilled his potential as a pro. Just a dumb guy who was never willing to push himself to improve either as a pro or as a pundit.
And whether we want to agree or not, this is a very young team, and young teams make mistakes, especially on a big stage such as this; Duke is a very good team, hopefully youth doesn't mean a disadvantage for us...
NBA power forward who's career averages on 22 pts and 11 rebounds fulfilled his potential. He's also recognized as one of the 50 best NBA players of all time. What is your definition of reaching potential?
Practice harder than anyone else, lead and drive the team to succeed. If you want to be a number 1 guy who leads his team to a championship, and not hope you get traded to be Jordan's caddy. Great physical gifts and toughness; notoriously bad work habits.
I kind of wish people would stop talking up Irving. The guy beat up on Hampton - good for him. Let's see how he handles a good PG.
that this could work in our favor... hard to come back from that injury and be at top speed. Darius needs to test him early. Hampton was nothing but an organized scrimmage.
He really only beat up on Hampton after the game was decided. Hopefully his return messes up the chemistry and flow of the Duke team after being out so long!
You'd think Duke's squad was playing the game...
Please stay out of foul trouble Jordan Morgan..please please please!
Go Blue! Beat Duke
GO BLUE!!!!!!
DIPSY DOO DUNKIN STU!
Here we go!!!
For a basketball game. Let's Go Blue!!
Good to see Jim Nantz spent at least 10 seconds reading up on the team before he stumbled through the intro.
Visited my dad this weekend and came across my old school Fab Five shorts. Yep, have them on right now. Still fit 40 pounds later! Gotta love the baggy shorts!
Not so good to start.
Oh boy...need to rebound
Get a rebound!
