Good Guys!! I'm 100% positive Trey will have a monster, national coming out type of game against the hometown squad. More so than the Duke game Craft "ain't got shit" on Burke.
<br>
<br>Step the fuck up!!!
Needs minutes. He's the #2 overall pick and has all the talent and athleticism in the world. And he's and inside/outside threat. Is it just a logjam of big guys in Minny or is he truly in Adelman's doghouse?
On the season highlight reel for the end of the season banquet. I honestly wasn't sure Novak was even capable of throwing down like that. My favorite play since the Novak (on the ground) to Burke v. Wisconsin.
Actually I just got a LOT emotional. I don't know what broke me more...Hemi's speech or Hoke's smile after the Gatorade bath. Feels good to be a good guy!
the same deal as the basketball banquet? Open to public, autograph signings, an all that jazz? It seems like it would be nearly impossibly to pull off but figured it was worth asking.
I would never, could never hate on the Maize Rage.
<br>
<br>I'm an admitted "normal" fan, having never attended Michigan. I was at the Towson game 5 rows behind the basket opposite the main tunnel and didn't perceive a 10' difference in where the Maize Rage is now in comparison to where it was pre-renovation. If that's actually the case, that's awful.
<br>
<br>Additionally, I did notice first hand that the "wings" of the Maize Rage consist of seats, while the middle portion sit (stand) on bleachers. This is also terrible for those on the wings. I imagine I'd feel disjoined from the heart of the Rage if I were to sit in those seats, but then again, I'm no student.
<br>I wish I could bring myself to sit in the student section for basketball games in particular. I have the energy and passion to stand, cheer, and yell all game. I feel like I'm going to piss people off when I jump up for an exciting dunk (Morgan) or a clutch rebound (Novak) or when I stand up in the closing moments of a tight game.
wait to see the schedule poster! Schedule looks good. Hopefully we do some damage in Maui but I have a feeling we will still be figuring things out rotation-wise which could make a run difficult considering the competition. My faith in Beilein allows me to believe that those kinks will be sorted out by the conference portion of the schedule relatively unscathed.
saw Sam McGuffie at first glance. And I also saw that quote applying to more than just Michigan. It definitely applies to Duke and UNC very easily.
<br>
<br>But I do hope we land the kid! Michigan hoops is looking up and I love John Beilein! Way to turn the program around and get us in the discussion for 5 Stars again!
Maize n Blue Deli? I've never been but saw it on Man vs Food and it looked like it was worth a visit. Is it one of those spots that locals actually detest?
for the Pistons and take him in the lottery. We need an actual point guard. And Darius is huge, something all the one on one coaching in the world couldn't acquire. Help defense is good enough (on most teams) in the NBA that his lack of lateral quickness can be de-emphasized. Joe, please draft your son's college teammate. Then send the maintenance guy up into the rafters to get your #4 down and let DMo rock it.
AS important as everybody is making him out to be early on. I think JB is going to roll with Stu at the point in Maui and beyond until Burke starts to blossom. I expect lots of growing pains early wen Burke is running the offense. You've gotta be a cocoon before you can be a butterfly...
<br>
<br>Maui is going to be huge. We need to get a win or two and get some confidence going into season against some quality opponents (something we lacked last year). If we go 0-fer in Maui, we will be desperate for an answer at the point most likely moving forward, with nobody truly ready to fill the role (see 09-10). Unlike that year though, Stu has seen enough time on the ball that he is comfortable in that role when the situation calls for it.
Darius needs to go to this team or that team and step in to distribute the ball to this star or that star. Get real. Darius is NOT going to average starter minutes in his rookie campaign. Darius will be better of going to a team who already has a starting point guard, but lacks a quality backup.
<br>
<br>I enjoyed hearing Darius projected to Washington to back up his offseason workout partner, Mr. Wall. He will have a chance to play, the pressure to won won't immediately be squarely on his shoulders, and he will have a chance to work on all those flaws everything loves to point out while at the same time wishing he stayed one more year.
<br>
<br>I also like the idea of Darius landing in SA. No chance in hell he won't end up the best basketball player he can be if he sticks there for the duration of his rookie contract and Pop doesn't retire.
the Pistons manage to snag him at some point. No matter what happens, in a couple months, Darius will have realized his dream and we will have had the pleasure of seeing the spark that made that possible. I really, REALLY want him to go in the first round though for his sake, regardless of the team.
watching the Michigan/Tennessee game just because I can and the more I think about it, it seems to me Darius is gone. With much of the premium talent staying in school, a huge window is opening up for Darius that will likely be narowed, if not closed, next year (the same year a lot of people seem to think he would be "better off" waiting to leave), whether he goes in the first or second round.
<br>
<br>He led the B1G in assists. Where to go from there? Outside shooting and his left are his weaknesses and everybody wants him to develop those at Michigan. That's great for Michigan fans, but is that necessarily best for Darius? Every rookie has weaknesses. Check their scouting report. The main thing Darius possesses is size. That in itself makes him NBA ready. I think he could go to the league and work on his left and his shot a lot more intensively than he could at Michigan.
<br>
<br>Also, and this is just me, but Darius seems kind of resentful to me. Following him on twitter as I'm sure many of you do, he seems detached. Seeing him use the hashtag #leaguebound at one point was somewhat sad to see.
<br>
<br>The way I'm approaching the situation, he is gone. If he goes to the league, he will instantly be my favorite player. If he comes back, I'll jump up and down for joy and scream at the top of my lungs in elation. It just seems like, in situations like these, players tend to stay in the draft, not pull their names out. At least this time, Michigan will be ready with another PG ready to step up whenever Darius decides to leave.
The reason we fell behind was bc he was sitting (thanks refs).
<br>
<br>The reason we came back was because he refused to let's the team go out without a serious fight.
<br>
<br>He can take any shot he wants. I'm not going to second guess him for a second. The only time he frustrated me was when he missed the front end of the 1-1 against Wisco leaving the door open for Gasser. But we moved on, healed, and grew from that so I can live with it.
<br>
<br>"Get the FUCK off my court!"
From watching this team all season its that we are never out of a game as long as we are within 12-14.
<br>
<br>Another cheap foul on Morgan.
<br>
<br>We have a Timmy sighting.

While utterly terrible, that still managed to be quite entertaining. Very sad to see it 7 years after the fact.

Charles Woodson, Zack Novak, AND Mitch McGary.
To Michigan/USC in football.

The little guy to scream what he had seen 100 times louder when his words fell on deaf ears the first go-around.
In all future endeavors! #hail
Now to weasel my way out of work..
Had fun!

<br>Hail Hoke!

I'm looking at you Houston.
Being an adult, the Sopranos finale, 09-10 Michigan basketball... in reverse order.

Is already gone.
Call things somewhat one-sided. However, you need to be better than the officials. Beilein has preached this all year. Today was no different.

Let's go Morgan. Talk some of that Fab Five trash talk in Kellys face.
<br>
<br>Here we go.
God I love Zack Novak.
Best pass of the year by Morgan by the way. Thanks for the replay.
<br>
<br>Nolan is pretty fucking good by the way and I hate him terribly.
With the fouls already... I don't mind the fouls on the bench guys as much as I mind the free points they're yielding.
<br>
<br>
Strong second half out of Timmy. Attaboy on D as well Vogrich. I'm liking him more and more with each passing game.
Ready to jump out of my window.
And let's go Blake.
I'll take it. We need every point we can get.
That was one of the most amazing and surprising plays I've seen all year. That's the way to fill in Horford. And the FT.
Yelling at my tv before this game is over. Smotrycz is doing his best Pittsnogle impersonation and looking good.
NOVAK!!

Darius keeps having to battle back against his defender every time bc dudes hands are all over him. No matter who's guarding him.
And DMo is back.
