I lived in 1234 First Reeves…

I lived in 1234 First Reeves in Mary Markley Hall 2004-2005 for my freshman year. Overall, it ruled. We were basically in the basement, so we had only 28 people in the whole hall rather than 56. I roomed with my great friend from high school, and I met several of the fellas that eventually stood up in my wedding there. Technologically, we were able to share music with each other all across the entire hall, and you may not believe it but the technology existed to play Halo over the dorm's internal wired ethernet. Wild stuff! My fondest memory was once putting garbage bags over all the vents in the community bathroom and turning on all the hot showers for a tropical drinks party. And shouts to the guy who mentioned the proximity to the hospital! It was a short walk to the ER after I rolled out of my loft bed and broke my collarbone in half. All the stuff others have said about the less cool parts of Markley ring true, of course, but I would never, ever take that experience back.

As far as I know, VPN…

As far as I know, VPN programs can be downloaded most places without issue. Once you've established the VPN on your computer or ipad, you can then select which region you'd like to connect to. It's quite straightforward once you get it up and running. I've used ExpressVPN with pretty good success in the past, but there are several others available. Years ago, I used one called Tunnelbear that worked well, too. Many, if not most, of them have a 7-day trial at least that should get you free access to the VPN for your needed duration.

I'm not sure if GPS is also an issue on ipads, but that might be something you need to address as well? That issue might pop up only on mobile phones, but just a heads up that it could be step 2 in your viewing challenge.

Hopefully that's a little helpful! Good luck!

Thanks for putting all of…

Thanks for putting all of this together. I have no idea how risk works, nor am I terribly inclined to learn, but I'm getting loads of satisfaction from "just following orders" every day. Let's gooooooo!

So, Not a Sam Gut Feeling, but Certainly not Bad News?

https://twitter.com/JoshHenschke/status/938957736561266688

Yup

Yeah man, don't want to be pedantic or anything, but this morning Sam's gut told him we'd have three athletes visit, not seven, as was being reported elsewhere.

The reference to the above gut feeling is indeed for Shea to head here as a player, not just for a visit this weekend.

Anyway, cheers, this is good news.

That play was pretty cool Lions are moving the ball better than I thought they would in general, too.
Ben Roethlisberger is a bad person Would be good if the Lions were able to beat him. More importantly, enjoying a lovely Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA.
Beautiful Given Devin's ability and play style for always taking great angles, this comment is perfect.
Agree that Google Music is Nice

I'd second the Google Music comment. Another very nice feature of Google music is that it carries a YouTube Red subscription with it. So, for your $10, you're getting the Google music catalog along with ad-free YouTube. I didn't think the YouTube piece was a big deal, but not having ads on it is actually very nice, and sometimes there are some esoteric songs on YouTube that might not be available on the music streaming service.

For the $15 family plan, which I subscribe to, I have my wife, my sister-in-law, two brothers, my dad, and me on it. As long as your family members have a gmail address, that's all the criteria they need to meet.

All of the streaming services are great, and I definitely vouch for the premium service of whichever you purchase. I simply like Google music the best, and it plays best with my android-PC centric ecosystem.

Hope that's helpful!

Not sure how to read this

Am I to assume that the animal I'm eating, i.e. the koala, has chlamydia? Or am I to assume that I have chlamydia while eating the koala? Likely safe either way as long as the meat reaches a safe temperature.

I second this. I love feeling I second this. I love feeling just a little bit smarter with each of these. And it'll be great if they link in the future. I think I've read the Don Brown descriptive article in HTTV five times and will probably read it five more during the season in an effort to get these things. Thanks, Seth!

Not sure if this'll be helpful at all, but here is a link to the feed, and you can add it in iTunes. https://t.co/jEzppU9GGl Also, you can alter settings to both list and play the podcasts in chronological order rather than in reverse chronological order. I find the feed manageable, although as others have pointed out, it does come in 12 segments a day. Just have to be active with the deletions. Hope that was helpful!

I recently sprung for one of I recently sprung for one of those on a whim with some leftover fiscal year funds. I'm somewhat skeptical, but I'm definitely inclined to try it. Good to hear it worked for you! I'll definitely give it at least the two weeks!
Cavs a better matchup than Toronto?

I was thinking about the Cavs/Raptors situation. Am I crazy to think the Pistons might match up better with the Cavs than they do with the Raptors? Although the talent in Cleveland is clearly superior, I love the Van Gundy vs Lue (LeBron?) matchup in our favor, and Toronto's guards kind of scare me. Either way, glad to see the Pistons back in the playoffs, and I'm looking forward to their hopefully stealing a couple of games in the first round!

Sarcasm much? Whose god, yours or mine? My apologies to have not alerted your obviously keen sarcasm detector, but it was a joke. I simply assumed with such a clever modification of fucking nuts to nucking futs, you'd have understood. I apologize, and may the deity's mercy be benevolent.
Harbaugh = hot seat? Just Harbaugh = hot seat? Just saying, one 10 and 3 season is fine, I guess. But we lost to Ohio State by a lot of points.
New Order

Bizarre Love Triangle has been my favorite song from the decade of my birth for a long time.

Wonderful Piece

I enjoyed a sensible chuckle throughout, although I fully ROFLed at "Occam, noted non-Medill graduate, is confused."

Not sure if serious, but if serious, hahahahahaha. Not sure if serious, but if serious, hahahahahaha.
Most Versatile Player

Per the mission on the web site, the mission of the award is to recognize versatile, high-level performers in FBS. The award goes to "the most versatile player". I love that Jabrill is repping 97% of the vote currently.

Most Impressive

Seeing this information graphically is wonderful. Performance trends are now so easily digestible. Many thanks!

This is so great! Thanks for This is so great! Thanks for doing this. I'm still trying to remember how I stumbled across this glorious place during my freshman year in Mary Markley 2004-2005. Although some of the wins and losses over these years have been tough, this site has made me feel lucky to be a Michigan fan due to the great writing and sense of humor since its inception. Thanks Brian!
rofl

This made me rofl. Thank you.

Formally

Formally, the bumping of two fists in an introduction, i.e., a fist bump. Also widely acknowledged as "props" or "respect". Also, being 29, I might be behind the times myself. Damn kids and their music.

Spurrier

Steve Spurrier giving Ann Arbor some dap. Cool to see.

Just moved down to North Just moved down to North Carolina from Detroit. It's great to be able to watch the Wings, but oh man are these two yahoos making me miss Ken and Mick.
Would echo this sentiment in Would echo this sentiment in High Point. Nice day to watch a game indoors.
I chuckled

Thank you for the chuckle.

I'm loving this. Very I'm loving this. Very exciting if nothing else. My fiancée is Japanese, so these youngsters have my bragging rights on the line. C'mon kiddos!
Nine years old

Wow, crazy how this feels like yesterday. I'm with the above couple of gents in this being one of my first vivid Michigan memories. I remember how excited I was to have Michigan kick off this early in the season! Very cool Wolverine Historian.

A second on Monty's. What a A second on Monty's. What a gem!
Punting from the 37 is just Punting from the 37 is just as dumb.
So Excited

+ 1 to you sir! Today is going to be a great day, the day we make tosu basketball feel almost as terrible as their football team does. Well, I guess as terrible as one can feel getting paid at a better rate than in the pros. GO BLUE!

Hmm

Thing is, we didn't end up in that situation, so we'll never know. Obviously we'd all be pissed, just as they are. HOWEVA, our team won. So good for U of M. Biggest win in a very, very long time. I'm happier with the result than in the belittling of Sparty, but that doesn't mean it isn't a little fun. C'mon, let us have our moment in the sun. Even though we may all be hypocrites, it doesn't mean we don't deserve a little happiness every now and then!

Upset? Is it an upset when U of M is favored by two and a half? Don't get me wrong, I'll feel like we conquered the world if we win, and I want to keep those expectations there to avoid disappointment. Still, we're favored! Go blue!
