Meyer just reading the statement written by the PR staff. He doesn't sound sincere at all. What a fucking douchebag!

Would you want to read a statement from a PR staff knowing that you did the right thing but still you receive a three game suspension and after being placed on administrative leave over allegations by a washed up reporter who had an agenda to ruin your reputation. I imagine he is pissed because the only reason he is receiving this suspension is to appease the mighty media and PC police.

That Gene Smith still has his job after overseeing the athletic department during both this fiasco and the Tressel scandal while doing virtually nothing about either is monumentally embarrassing.  Somewhere around 2012-13, I met an OSU guy that had played under Woody Hayes and Earle Bruce, and during the requisite OSU-Michigan back-and-forth I said that at least his school had a better athletic director than mine.  Immediately, he said "Oh, no we don't."  How these two great schools and athletic departments could hire such complete clowns is beyond me, but at least we didn't keep ours around for almost 15 years.

The investigative report states that Meyer was informed of the 2015 allegations by Gene Smith.  In his written statement issued after he was placed on leave, he claimed he reported the allegations.  Which was it?  Both can't be true.

It sure sounds like Meyer lied about his lie.

  • Threw a pregnant wife against the wall
  • bruised her and cut her open
  • arrested in Florida for DV
  • DUI in Ohio
  • bench warrant for failure to appear
  • affair in the office
  • dick pics in the White House with his work phone
  • Arrested for violating restraining order
  • urban knew most if not all
  • urban sent his goons to pressure her to drop charges

3 game suspension.  God have mercy on the state of Ohio

Lying, repeated domestic violence, OVI, using a univ phone to transmit sexual images, sex toys delivered to the OSU offices, sex with subordinates?

Nothing to see here - just a regular OSU supervisor, OSU employee and principle-based BoT.

Bahahahaha.  OSU just made ANOTHER mockery of their standing as an academic institution.  Quite pathetic and humorous at the same time.

Urban just said "Most of what I know about Zach is work-related." Sure, that guy that is my mentor's grandson, that played for me, coached for me, that I hired again at my new job, that I was so close to that my wife and I personally counseled through a difficult time in their marriage 9 years ago, that I have known for over 15 years?  He's just this guy from work.

And now the "Us vs. The World" mantra has started sweeping through Buckeye nation.  I'd hate to be the Oregon State Beavers.

OSU is going to absolutely roll some teams this fall. Imagine MSU chip on the shoulder x10..

Meyer is such an arrogant bitch. He expected to get away with this completely. He can't believe this is even in question. Who are these people to question me?

He is pissed. He did what was asked of him. He took it higher up. He knows that Smith, the true arrogant bitch should have been fired and he should be back coaching his team that he hasn’t been allowed around since Aug 1st because of allegations brought against him by a washed up reported who has a vendetta against him and OSU. He is being suspended for nothing more than to appease the mighty media and the PC police.

I didn't necessarily think three games was completely absurd punishment, but they are fucking bombing these questions.

Meyer is a broken man.  He knows he should have been fired.  OSU should thank Drake as the “school” would not have issued a penalty without him.

I don't even think that matters.  The point is to make these people responsible for making their workplace (campus) safer.  To the first point though:

Any employee of the University who becomes aware of sex discrimination as defined in this policy (including sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, stalking on the basis of sex, dating/intimate partner violence or sexual exploitation) is a Mandated Reporter, regardless of whether the recipient of the behavior is a student, employee, volunteer or visitor of the University.

What a joke.

Drake should be ashamed of himself. I can't see him getting another job in academia, except maybe MSU or Georgia or something.

And pretty much anyone associated with that university should be ashamed too. Obviously it is more of a football institution than an academic one.

I actually have more respect for Drake. It sounds like he was the only one who demanded at least a suspension based off the Twitter reports, and he followed through with that. I still wish he would have resigned after dealing with all the BS he had to face from the BoT and everyone else on Urban's disciplind, but he clearly didnt do what Urban wanted. And while that was completely unreasonable to wish for, it still would have been awesome to see.

This is laughable.  Meyer and Smith just misunderstood their contracts, and thought they did not have to report abuse unless police charges were filed?  How convenient.  You can send a staffer to lobby the victim not to press charges, or maybe the local cops give a coach a break because, hey, Ohio State and all.  What a duplicitous way to avoid reporting abuse incidents.
