Recruits Visiting This Weekend
Well fella's this is the home stretch before the early signing period December 19th.
Anthony Solomon 4 star OLB
Cornelius Johnson 4 star WR
Danielson Ike 3 star OT
Sam Snyder 3 star TE
How many do we get, and if Trevor Keegan picks the good guys, do we still take Ike. I like Ike.
With the attrition we've had this year, and the attrition we may get after the bowl game, how many spots are available? Have a good weekend boys and girls, and Go Blue!

Last year we took Mustapha Muhammad , #6 Tight End in Class and #168 Overall? edit: beat me to it
December 14th, 2018 at 1:52 PM ^
Muhammad from last years class is that guy. Erick All in this class is also a low 4 star. There just aren’t a lot of 5 start TEs (only one I can remember is Ruckert who inexplicably chose OSU) and high 4 stars we’ve targeted, we’ve been beaten out for by Stanford and ND (basically the two other programs that heavily uses TE). We can definitely get better talent at the position but our current TEs are not bad
December 14th, 2018 at 2:18 PM ^
Chris Clark, Isaac Nauta and Devin Asiasi would all qualify. One of whom we signed, one we were (luckily) beaten out by UCLA and the other by the home school UGA.
You're still right though, there aren't many 5* TEs.

I believe the fans are going to be more than pleasantly surprised by who is already in the room and has not yet seen the field at Michigan. My belief is that Muhammad and Schoonmaker are going to be as good or better than this years TEs. I think Schoonmaker is going to shock folks when he arrives on the scene.
December 14th, 2018 at 3:07 PM ^
hopefully he’s as good as Asiasi was towards the latter half of his season here.
December 14th, 2018 at 4:45 PM ^
I would just like a TE who can consistently block and catch. Harbaugh hasn’t gotten one yet.
December 14th, 2018 at 1:48 PM ^
If we take Ike, I hope he lines up next to big Mike.
December 14th, 2018 at 1:54 PM ^
Just made my Friday. Plus infinity to you sir!
December 14th, 2018 at 2:32 PM ^
Delicious and a movie theater staple. Well done!

Ike doesn't look entirely enthused about the prospect of playing for Nick Saban.
December 14th, 2018 at 2:39 PM ^
Danielson Ike never looks enthused about anything.
Seriously.
Every time I see a picture of him, that's the look on his face.

The Ed Warriner Effect
December 14th, 2018 at 6:56 PM ^
Warinner likes this kid. He may not smile a lot but he takes his tasks as an OT very seriously...he's a say less do more kid! I like him too.
December 14th, 2018 at 2:41 PM ^
With his Michigan wristband too lol!
December 14th, 2018 at 3:22 PM ^
Maybe that’s why Saban has that dumb ass look
December 14th, 2018 at 3:24 PM ^
Two Michigan wristbands. I'm sure St. Nick loved that.
December 14th, 2018 at 4:09 PM ^
Two of them...The Team, The Team, The Team.
December 14th, 2018 at 2:36 PM ^
Michigan will most likely land 3 four star kids within the next week (Keegan, Johnson, and Solomon). This will help alleviate some of the pessimism and cynicism within the fan base. Even if we whiff on all our five star options, this class should end up looking a lot like our 2016 class. In that class, we had 1 five star and a bunch of four star and high three star kids. Because Zach C. will probably end up a five star in this class, this cycle will look quite similar to 2016.
People also forget that, in the 2016 class, 4 out of our top 6 or 7 guys didn’t really end up contributing much at all (Peters, Walker, Devin A., Crawford). This class had a chance to be elite, and it doesn’t look like it is going to end up that way. That’s disappointing. But this class is not nearly as bad as some people are making it out to be.

BizarroMazien?
December 14th, 2018 at 2:41 PM ^
Gabe Newburg is also visiting.

Also, as of RIGHT NOW, we have 89 players scheduled to be on scholarship next year. If more guys leave for the NFL (Bush, Hill, Long, etc.), that number will drop, but we're over the limit at the moment, even without Daxton Hill, Trevor Keegan, Danielson Ike, Anthony Solomon, etc. Lots of people need to leave/transfer/drop to get down to 85.
December 14th, 2018 at 3:02 PM ^
And several will.
But also a good reminder to those who think we can take everyone we feel like. There are limits.
December 14th, 2018 at 3:25 PM ^
Its been pretty clear for a while the staff expects a lot of transfers this year and its going to have to be enough people that its going to be someone that hurts.
December 14th, 2018 at 7:44 PM ^
Why would someone that really hurts transfer? This is unnecessarily negative.
December 15th, 2018 at 11:44 AM ^
We have four very good young WRs, don’t throw much, and split targets between them, the TEs, and some no-name walk on WR.
These guys aren’t slaves. If they’re not getting what they want here, they’re going to leave.
December 14th, 2018 at 3:14 PM ^
Ike is a take even if Keegan commits.... if not, then I'd venture that Keegan isn't coming, and Ike is...
December 14th, 2018 at 3:26 PM ^
You don’t know that.
Sorry, but there are way too many variables in place to say for certain he is a take.
December 14th, 2018 at 3:24 PM ^
The film on C Johnson is pretty special. He has great size, speed, strength and skills. The kid is going to be a player.
December 14th, 2018 at 3:42 PM ^
I say Ike is a pass.
December 14th, 2018 at 4:04 PM ^
The consensus seems to be that you all think Ike Danielson will not be a take if Keegan commits, but (I believe) Michigan already is aware of Keegan's commitment news. With Keegan committing tonight, it would be odd for Michigan to host Ike this weekend when they know/believe there are no spots available.
December 14th, 2018 at 7:01 PM ^
Exactly. Ignore my "exactly" but this is what I believe...so I'll add my insignificant "exactly" anyway.
December 14th, 2018 at 5:38 PM ^
What time is Keegan commitment?
December 14th, 2018 at 5:46 PM ^
6:30 CT so 7:30 ET
December 14th, 2018 at 6:40 PM ^
Thanks, looked this up on line but could not find this time
December 15th, 2018 at 12:29 PM ^
It says something about something that we only graduate 1 scholarship Oline Man and are bringing in 6-7 OL recruits.
Also speaking of Ike, I wonder if one of the other OL commits may get pushed out or has been thinking about greener pastures. Because it does seem strange to take 7.
