Q: Anyone have any info on how Ricardo Miller's doing?
Just wondering if anyone knows how he is doing in the program. He was pretty hyped coming out of HS, but he has since seemed to disappear from all discussions about WR's. With Stonum being out, any chance Miller sees some quality playing time this year?
He moved to Tight End from what I last heard, but I don't' know if he is still there. At best he would be behind Kevin Koger.
There was rumors about him at one point moving to TE.
He's already been switched.
He's listed as a TE on MGOBLUE.
he's doing poorly at WR and shouldn't be much help now that Stonum's out.
I think it's mostly because he's a TE, though, where he's supposedly developing quite nicely.
I believe Ricardo was moved to TE, and a lot of his recruiting hype was before he was actually ranked. We thought he would be a high 4* and possibly even 5*, but turned out to be a pretty generic 3* if I recall correctly.

He was actually a 4* on both Scout and ESPN (albeit not a very high 4*) and he was a 5.7, on Rivals which is the highest of their 3* range (5.5-5.7), so he was still a pretty decent prospect coming out of HS according to the recruiting sights, although admittedly not as high as we had initially hoped/thought.
Wow, did he blow up size-wise or something or was he targeted for TE all along? I thought he was going to play WR in college.
He did not get much bigger. I think he will be in the mold of a slot-TE-WR (much like Funchess is expected to be); also heard he may be a slot-TE / half-back (like Aaron Shea back in the day)
Meaning multiple times...

<br>Situational TE/Tailback for blocking and dumpoff receiving, which can be incredibly effective with a mobile qb
He was never going to wow you with his vertical speed, but he was targeted as a WR coming out of HS.
On the roster it says he is 6-4 215lbs, coming out of HS he was only 6-2 205 so he has gotten bigger.
I think the coaches want to use him as an H-back, but I heard that blocking is something he is really going to need to improve if he wants to see the field.
the official roster has him listed at 6'4", 215 lbs. He was only 6'1 back when he commited to us before his junior year.
Who knew that 16-year-old kids tend to grow some?
He was asked on Facebook how he was liking TE, and he said he liked it, so im thinking hes sticking at TE for now at least.
He's keeping his dauber up
Jermey Jackson is going to play wr? There was talk with his recruitment of him moving to te,but seems to have be scratched at this junction.
Jackson played in one game last year (OSU) after Stonum and Hemingway were both out with injuries. (now that I think of it, our team was pretty depleted going into OSU). He's not particularily fast, but he has the prototypical NFL receiver body type. Maybe some conditioning and leg strength work can improve his speed? He seems to be staying at wide receiver in those conditions, probably more as a possession receiver.
That is false. Jackson played in more than one game last year, mostly as a blocking WR. The first catch of his carrear came in Wisconsin (two the whole game) and he grabbed two more in the Ohio State game.
Right, my bad. Misread TTB's countdown probably. He did come in as a replacement for either Hemingway or Stonum if I recall correctly though. Regardless, if he improves his speed he could be a great WR.
He's at TE and rumor has it that he is up to 240 lbs...FWIW.
If he's really up to 240 lbs than I am pretty excited about his potential as a redzone option and TE once Koger is gone.
I mean, if he kept anywhere near the athleticism he had as a 210 lb WR, he could be a good weapon for us at 6'4.
Maybe that's just wishful thinking, but thats what Fall camp is for right?
I didn't know that he was that big now. Now I'm very interested to hear reports about him from fall camp.
Current heights and weights should be coming out this week. The present roster is from 12 months ago so pretty worthless for growing young men.
That's just what I've heard through people who have talked to him on campus, around AA, etc. It'll be interesting to see him this fall.
I'd heard he had a good 20+ pounds to go before they'd be comfortable at TE. I'd wager he's closer to 230 than 250
If hes up to 240 then he currently weighs more than jermichael finley
He's excited camp is finally here. Not that he doesn't love summer, don't get him wrong, but it's nice to be getting back to football.
Other than that, not much is new. Not looking forward to classes starting back up, but who is. Spends some time playing video games, talking to friends. He calls home once or twice a week.
(Completely made all that up.)
Love the enthusiasm, dude.
Any nice girls on the horizon? Is he getting enough to eat?
Yes, he's eating enough and he wishes you'd stop worrying about him. Although he did rip a pair of those jeans you got him at Costco that he wore all the time, so if you see any next time you're there he would love another pair.
For girls: nobody special yet, but he's young so he's not too worried about it. He's just going to enjoy college and let whatever happens happen.

Wow you know these guys inside and out.
You must be Johnny from RBUAS.
He didnt blow up in a bad way...just kind of grew into his body more or less andcombined with his slower than us recruitnik's want 40 time that forced this move but all the press @ TE has been good at least.

Spreichen de eengleesh?
He seems like a great kid. I remember how hard he sold Michigan to other recruits when he was just a junior and senior in high school. Moved his whole family to Ann Arbor. It would be great to see him get some playing time.
What do you mean Barnett is a no go?
I read that he has become the pet project for Coach Wellman to get him back in shape.
Well that's good news then. With two TEs in next year's class, we really don't need him to RS, and we have a need at TE bodies now. I read that he was up to around 280, so I hope Coach Wellman is motivated.
You know today is the FIRST day of practice, right? And IIRC, it doesn't even start for another hour. So... I'm gonna go with "dear crap, hold your horses, we'll find out soon enough."
He's doing well at Tight End. Coach Ferrigno really likes his upside and pass-catching, he just needs to work on blocking and bulking up. He's more of a U-Back (H-Back/Split out) but seems to be enjoying it.
What time does practice start at today??
4:00pm.
4 PM. Though on the mgoblue video I for some reason heard it as 4 AM. /pointless info
Tim Massaquoi
He'll be horrible, sorry I know some people liked Mass. but he was average maybe at times but worthless the rest of the time on the field.
