Photo: New Michigan Stadium field completed

Can't edit my other thread and there isn't anything going on.

Look at this beauty.

Valiant, our official font created by Nike in 2016 has taken over. Take a look at the numbers on the field. They match the jersey numbers.

The new Blue endzones have a change of font as well. The longtime endzone is no more after being around since 1982.

Interesting they decided against putting the serifs on the A and N in the endzones even though they are on the scoreboard and part of the official valiant font

Confusing because it doesn't look like the 1982 endzone font but it does have similar characteristics that it did as far as no A and N serifs go.

This one looks bulkier like the Valiant type but it doesn't have the exact features.

So ignore my comment in the OP.

I noticed the exact same thing.  It DOES looks bulkier.  And I know this sounds like taking observation to a probably unhealthy level...but oh well.  If you want to get really, REALLY picky (ala me) the 1982-2009 font was the best.  The last year of RichRod, it got slightly thinner, almost as if they stretched the letters a tad to the front and back of the end zones.  This change was so slight that I didn't even notice it until we were two years in to Brady Hoke.

It doesn't look THAT bad from those photos so it's nothing to lose sleep over.  But again, if you want to get picky (and I know I'm not the only one) the 1982 - RichRod font is the best.

It looks fantastic! Thanks for posting, WD. The field looks like a darker green than I recall, but it could also be that the field is still being "made". Anyone who has detailed knowledge on the process of making a turf field would find a captive audience with me.

The sidelines appear to be a different color; the field has not yet been brushed, and I would withhold any firm judgments on the color green until we actually see it in action. I suspect that it will wind up a similar color to the old field. At least, the old field when it was new.

So much more swag, that’s beautiful.  Repaint the M in the stands to ice the cake

Not only does this look amazing, the boldness of the colors and the larger block M make it look a little more intimidating to me. Hope it sends that message to the visitors too.

The "X's" for the kickoff are still on the 30 yard line...Kickoffs are at the 35 yard line.  I assume that is what the "X's" are for.
