OT: worst actor or actress to ruin a role or movie.

Holy Hell. To piggy back the best movie fight scene topic, I ask you, what actor or actress single handily ruined a movie for you? I rented Batman vs. Superman tonight and the character played by Jesse Eisenberg is damn near the biggest insult to a casting role I've ever witnessed. It could be the 30 year old scotch I had, but I am pretty sure he ruined the movie and I never want to see his post dodgeball game face again.

In Bonfire of the Vanities. It really wasn't Tom's fault though. He is nothing like the character in the book. It was a great book and a horrible movie. All the main actors: Hanks, Bruce Willis and Melanie Griffith were completely the wrong choice for their parts. The casting director went for big screen names over filling the roles with actors who fit them.

TAKE IT BACK! NOW I SAID! I can't be the only one who found Cable Guy absolutely hysterical. I can't even count how many times I watched that flick in college with my buddies. Haven't seen it in forever so it might now give me a different reaction, but I doubt it. Too many good memories.

Tom Cruise in anything.  Self-indulgent, yet talent-less.  Egotistical, yet unable.  Fucked up the Mission Impossible intellectual property beyond repair.

there are so damn many movies I've never watched, that just by their plots and titles I didn't want to waste a couple hours. Included in them are Star Wars, all the Bat Man movies, although Jack is one of my favorite all time actors. And Mission Impossible I remember as a T. V. series, but I never watched an episode of that as a kid. The only spy show I liked was Get Smart. Although,  Three Days of the Condor is one of the exceptions. Sure there are others.

This, like music, is definitely a generational thing.
