His interception deep in Michigan territory, followed by Edward’s 85 yard TD 3 plays later, was one of the most joyous 5 minutes in my recent football memory.  I wish him nothing but the best at Arizona.

Let's not forget the near pick-6 by Macgregor and the B.S. non-fumble call on the Okie sack.  Stroud could have given up the ball 4 times, 2 for TD's, and we'd be looking at something like a 59-20 game.  I wonder if that would have kept them out of the playoff and in the Utah rematch they deserved.

In all honesty, I think the first Michigan game I coherently remember seeing as a teen is the 1987 Rose Bowl loss to ASU, and I've watched just about every meaningful game since.  And I struggle to remember a better win.  Maybe PSU 1997, simply because there was so much at stake, and it was such an asskicking against JoPa in his house, and emphatically declared that PSU would not be dominating the B1G.  That game was probably every bit as sweet to watch, but that game was really just strength on (alleged) strength.  The emotional valence was quite binary, simply, can we do this, or is it another close season.  But last's year's game had so many subplots.  We were missing our best player on offense and defense, and probably the best running back in America to be able to play exactly the gameplan we wanted against OSU. There was the OSU narrative of the previous year's fluke, snowstorm, flu-storm, shitstorm, whatever.  There was the homefield, the great weather.  There was Urban on the sidelines, and OSU with like 40 recruits in the building.  And there was the style of the win.  Whereas 2021 was just a simple gameplan that OSU couldn't stop, 2022 was a better melodrama, with OSU dabbling gloriously in hope, and getting to pick their poison in so many different ways.

Yep.  That's the kind of quick, redirected tip that's hard to catch, easy to have it splash through your hands and then be standing there in disbelief that you had it.  But he sucked it in like a boss.  Absolutely huge play overshadowed by 3 other huge plays in that last 5 minutes.

Good luck to him.  Wonder why he didn't stick with Coach Prime?  Seems like a crystal-clear upgrade for where Colorado looks to be trending right now.

So why did he leave here?  I mean, we are favorites to win BIG and I believe also favorite for national title... Did he get passed by the second stringers too ? Because if not he would be in the rotation on an epic team vs starting on a mediocre one... I really don't get this one.

I don’t blame him. “Coach Prime” is a douchebag.

I’ve got a real issue with the guy and how he has run his organization thus far.  If you take over any team (sports, business, etc), the worst thing you can do is shit on every person in the building who isn’t immediately willing to suck your dick.  You don’t look for the worst in people and actively try to get rid of them.  You look for the best in people and try to get the best out of them.  What he had done is the same as any other “top performer” who becomes the Manager and has no clue how to lead, inspire people and improve an organization.  I hope he fails!

I did not have an issue with Deion or “Coach Prime” prior to this Colorado takeover fiasco.  Now, I think he’s no different than any other shitty leader to take over a performance based organization.  Fuck “Coach Prime!”

Nailed it.  And if Coach "Prime" pushed Upshaw out the door like he did with so many other players, it makes absolutely no sense.  You're telling me that a guy who saw consistent playing time on the DL for one of the best teams in the country last year wouldn't be a guy you could use on a horrible Colorado team this year?  Upshaw isn't a star, but he's a leader and someone you could depend on throughout the year, especially for a team that is going to have a ton of young players.
