Too bad, but their last couple albums, specifically Random Access Memory and the Tron: Legacy soundtrack were lackluster. With that, the song Doin’ or Right might be the best Daft Punk song.

I agree about random access memories but I liked the Tron legacy soundtrack. Oh well. Sad news.

Doin' it Right is good. I like Lose Yourself to Dance and Instant Crush (with Julain Casablancas) off that album maybe a little more (but maybe not).

Taste is subjective and as such i couldn't disagree with you more. I loved RAM and the Tron soundtrack, as do numerous close friends of mine. I do love their earlier music as well and bad thoroughly enjoyed hearing them evolve. This one hit hard. They will be up there with other musical legends I will forever kick myself for having not seen live.

I’m with you hunt. I was not expecting this on a random Monday morning, that’s for sure. I have my 5 year old enjoying their stuff too. We call them “the robots”. I think their collaboration with Abel and Pharrell really epitomized their versatility.
When they dropped Random Access Memories out of the blue, it was like Christmas.

The first time I saw Tron: Legacy, I went in with pretty low expectations but was absolutely blown away, and much of that was due to the music. So like others have said, I definitely disagree, I think the soundtrack was amazing.

10 years ago, I told my kids I was Daft Punk, as proved by the facts that no one had seen their faces nor had anyone seen me and them in a room together. Today my daughter texted to ask if I can now come out of hiding. I told her the spoiler is that we will be wearing masks under the masks, so I will still be unrecognizable. The videos posted above may blow my story.
