That seems like a financial decision with poorly thought our public-relations aspects. Even if "Moe's" has 100% MDen clothing, for alumni, there should always be a place on State St called Moe's to buy apparel at.  If there is too much MDen in the area, close the other MDen and maintain a Moe's presence.

I would rather be able to down vote, but would settle for being able to do any voting at this point.

06/20/2018 - 9:55am What happened to that 2015…

What happened to that 2015 class? 3 of the top 10 and 5 of the top 22 were called out as complete busts.  Not sure if I would be willing to call 2016 busts yet, most have 3 years left to show something

This will be an interesting strategy point going forward.  Do you get guys in against the early cupcakes or do you wait until there is a little more development (or injury need) later in the year?

You still have to scroll to get to diaries or the board. And you can only do that after the whole front page loads first. It only takes a second or two but it is time we didn't have to wait for on the app

Really wishing I could up-vote right now!

I bet they know. But I also bet it was harder to generate add revenue from the app, hence funneling everything through the web page regardless of device.  Otherwise, it makes no sense to get rid of the app and the associated ease with which we were able to navigate the various parts of the blog.

Good, maybe now Wisconsin might not be able to just roll through the BIG west essentially unopposed.

JBDaddy above has 600+ points and stated he couldn't see them. I don't think its a 500 point cut-off thing.

I can still create a post/diary, I just can't vote on it.  Seems weird to change the totals for voting, but not on content creation.

I also do not see the thumbs up/down icons for voting on Chrome using a Mac

Neg away if needed, but I still can't see the up/down vote icons at all. Any suggestions would be appreciated. And yes, I am logged in.  Is it a browser issue? I am using Chrome.

Decent list, but your #13 (win tourney with double digit wins in every game) seems a bit much.....

Do the rankings need to catch up on this kid or what?  One of the best 12 QBs in the country and only ranked the 10th best pro-style QB??

anyone know when Stanford releses their admissions? that might be the day we need to worry about.

04/18/2018 - 8:55am Curious how much of the bump these services offer

I'm curious how much of the bump these services offer is due to Belien's clear ability to find diamonds in the rough.  Obviously these rankings are created by people and people can be easily influenced by current events. It seems reasonable to me that similar to a when Harbaugh offers a little known recruit, all the recruiting services give them another look and the recruit often gets a hefty bump.  At this point, if Belien seems something in an under the radar recruit, then they probably deserve a second look too.

03/29/2018 - 5:00pm Yes, but those schools will

Yes, but those schools will also be wasting valuable time and energy recruiting kids who wont decide that they are going direct to the G-League until late in the year, similar to this kid who is no longer going to Syracuse.  That does advantage Belien who prefers to build strong relationships with kids prior to them commiting. Those kids are less likley to be scooped later in the cycle like many of the 3/4 stars the Kentucky's will need to fill their slots.

02/19/2018 - 5:55pm Rest is one thing, but a

Rest is one thing, but a potentially full 2 week lay-off, all so the BIG could have their tournament at MSG, where it is considerably harder for 90% of the BIG fans to get to? Makes no sense.  They couldn't even get the Barclay Center since the ACC tournament is there the same weekend as the Big East. If you have to have the tournament in NY, wait until you can have the tournament on the last weekend with the other Major confrences. This isn't 1-bid league just hoping to get their championship game on ESPN for the one TV payoff they will get all year. Further evidence, Deleany makes bad choices (as if we need more).

02/18/2018 - 10:48am If both are back, they are

If both are back, they are going to have a real scholarship problem for the incoming class. Anyone with an idea how that would work out?

02/12/2018 - 12:39pm The content of the article

The content of the article suggesting both UM and MSU should be more transparent was not unreasonable, but I agree completely that the Freep tried to have it both ways by equating the two in titling the link to the article, "MSU, UM clean up your act"

02/08/2018 - 9:45am Depends on what happens with

Depends on what happens with the special prosectuor and the title IX investigation. If they find stuff, this isn't going away.  Whether they find hard evidence or not, who knows.

02/07/2018 - 10:57am Curious to hear what insiders

Curious to hear what insiders think. Did we not have enough "grinders" on the recruting trail? It seems as though Harbaugh focused on that with his recent staff additions.  With some better big game luck next year and these "grinders" maybe we pull a few more 5 stars.

02/03/2018 - 2:52pm Sorry, but the link to the

Sorry, but the link to the article from the front page plainly states, "MSU, UM clean up your act" What exactly do you think they are implying with a headline like that?

In all honesty, I quickly realized my mistake the second after I hit save. my bad

02/01/2018 - 3:53pm I agree, Pep didn't respond

I agree, Pep didn't respond to the expereince and talent level he had to deal with at QB and WR.  Forcing pro-concepts on many of these kids who are 15 months out of high school was not the best idea and should have been adapted more to their inherent abilities.

Rainbows and happy thoughts...

01/31/2018 - 9:04am If MSU gets the bond first,

If MSU gets the bond first, 1) their credit will be better since they won't have the liability on the books when the bond is issues (and the rate will be better) 2) they can say it is for "building A" improvements, but once they have the money, they can redirect it towards anything they want 3) If designated for "building A", the lawyers aren't going to be able to say hey look at that pot of gold they have waiting for us (even if that is really what it is for). Pretty reasonable way to stay afloat on their part.

01/24/2018 - 4:52pm Bettors completely care about

Bettors completely care about how interesting a match up is.  Which do you think would have more money bet on it; Pats-Eagles Superbowl or Jacksonville-Minn Superbowl?  The more interest in the game, the more money bet by the general public.  The sharps don't care about general interest, just undervalued money lines.  But how do the imbalances in the money lines get made? By having a bunch of average Joes drop $100 on 1 team becuase they want to be more interested in the game.  If the NBA gets 1% of everything, they absolutely are pulling for Lakers-Knicks Finals, not Jazz-Hornets.

01/24/2018 - 3:53pm Clear conflict of interests

Clear conflict of interests abound.  Taking 1% is great for the bottom line, but anyone who thinks bigger markets/star players are favored now, just gets added fuel to suggest the NBA will benefit from "more interesting" match ups.  Already happens with TV, but throw in an extra few tens of millions from betting and this preception will only get worse.  Lastly, I like how they take zero ownership of the gambling problems that this could result in.  They should at least throw in a 0.01% pay back to the states for gambling addiction funds.

01/21/2018 - 8:26pm A lot of college guys

That is a lot of college guys for a new pro-staff, between Day and possibly Warrier.  A little unsual, especially give the stark contrasts between pro and college offenses.

01/18/2018 - 5:48pm I disagree.  The first step

I disagree.  The first step is realizing there is a problem and something needs to change.  Dreveno has done that. He could have just as easily said, this year was an abberation, I know what I'm doing and things will work out if I just keep doing it.  Lots of people in positons of power/authority are afraid of admitting the mistake because it hurts their ego and its just easier to not self-evaluate.  I think this is a positive step.

01/16/2018 - 10:21am Agreed. I truly hope he gets

Agreed. I truly hope he gets back on the field, but there is a big difference between walking, jogging and playing tackle effectively as if his leg was never injured.  I would not be surprised to see a medical scholarship in his future. Here's hoping I'm wrong.

Do you think either team is like, Oh sh*t! its BIG TEN refs, they suck?

01/04/2018 - 12:53pm Don Brown

If Aranda is worth $2.5mil, then what is Don Brown worth? It is has to be a lot more than $1.5mil.  Aside from not giving the money to the players, this blows up the whole salary structure for Coordinators across the country.  Eventually, handing out this type of money has its limits and the have-nots of college football are just going to fall farther behind.

01/03/2018 - 5:32pm Can't win

He would be at the top of the list no matter what his record was at UM. He wins the National Champrionship and all the blow hards will say he is ready to move on. Down year..he's ready to move on.  I think this topic should be expected as long as JH is here, similar to how there is always some theory that Saban has a foot out of the door at Alabama.

12/10/2017 - 6:19pm As someone who took a long

As someone who took a long time to get to 100 points, I think a 100 & 6 month minimum would also solve a lot of the troll accounts/threads. That being said, I’ve only started 1-2 threads so I could live with a 500 point minimum.
