MSU players just can't help themselves ... Sad really
LeVeon Bell @L_Bell24 11h
UofM proud that they had 8 home games, didn't play Wisconsin OR Penn St, AND lost to us? Yall can beat a average VA Tech team, be proud then
They just won't stop believing that becuase they beat us they should have been in the Sugar Bowl. I mean it is sad really that the players make stupid comments like this. I'm positive that every Michigan player would have traded places with them to play for the B1G champ game.
Also they must have forgotten they lost to ND and got blown out by Nebraska ...
January 4th, 2012 at 11:58 AM ^
He talks about home games and dismisses them...um, where did we play Sparty this year?
MSU has mass delusional disorder...they can't forget that ultimately, win or lose, they are always little brother.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:08 PM ^
Put Michigan in and give them the weakest possible opponent complements of a faithful UofM Alum. Congrats
January 4th, 2012 at 12:33 PM ^
We really haven't missed you.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:12 PM ^
an inferiority complex, and in my experiences to date, all MSU fans have one
January 4th, 2012 at 12:25 PM ^
What are you? 10?
January 4th, 2012 at 12:54 PM ^
MSU must have played really well against Penn State. Oh wait... they didn't play them either.
January 4th, 2012 at 3:48 PM ^
But I thought they were land grant rivals!
January 4th, 2012 at 11:58 AM ^
It is not a stupid comment. I can understand their anger whether justified or not. Just let it go.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:10 PM ^
Did you have an older brother that was better than you at everything too?
January 4th, 2012 at 12:11 PM ^
Michigan in the BCS had nothing to with MSU. Nothing at all. MSU was ineligible due to their BCS ranking. You could insert any 2 teams into this year's scenario and it would still come up with Team B going to the BCS. I can understand it sucks to be them, but this is simply sour grapes and lack of accountabili-buddy. This is Sparty

I bet your tears taste like sugar.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:00 PM ^
We don't have to respond to everything MSU has done. Sorry for being an ass, we've just discussed Marcus Rush's twitter and LeVeon Bell's twitter so much in the last 12 hours. Can we please just give it a rest...it's very "Spartyish" to go crazy because little brother is whining.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:00 PM ^
Who cares...why are you seeking out their twitter? If you look for shit, your going to find it
January 4th, 2012 at 12:12 PM ^
Not looking for shit RT by Rittenberg/Bennett and I just came across it this morning. Sorry if this has already been discussed.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:00 PM ^
The head of the Sugar Bowl is a Michigan alum as it turns out. I just kind of wish Sparty had ended the season BCS eligible as well. The sounds of RAGE from East Lansing when we got picked over a BCS eligible Sparty team would have been amazing.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:07 PM ^
I think it is the CEO of Allstate, the title sponsor of the Sugar Bowl, that is the Michigan Alum.
Also, go read some of Doub Gottlieb's tweets from last night. He's not a Michigan fan.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:20 PM ^
Being a terrible college basketball analyst.
January 4th, 2012 at 1:30 PM ^
Gottlieb should stick to stellar interviews, like this one:

<br>I love it. It makes me laugh every time. What a schmuck.

January 4th, 2012 at 12:15 PM ^
That's what I get for being wasted by the time the game ended.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:27 PM ^
After enduring about 80 Allstate commercials during the game, I was frustrated and exhausted with them. And then the Allstate head honcho proclaims his UM alum status during the trophy presentation, and all hatred for the corporate behemoth with an endless ad budget melted away instantly. I'm switching to Allstate today.
Hey, Allstate...Y U no sponsor MGoBlog?
January 4th, 2012 at 12:51 PM ^
I never even thought of this. That would have been incredible. Best case scenario by far.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:02 PM ^
Someone tell Bell that MSU didn't play Penn State either.
They played Ohio, Indiana and Wisconsin.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:27 PM ^
"I get hit in the head a lot..."
January 4th, 2012 at 12:02 PM ^
I would understand if they didn't have a chance to make a BCS bowl game but they did. They had a game to win it was simple win and you're in the Rose bowl they knew that they most likely were not making it to a BCS bowl if they didn't.
To lose and cry about it after is classless and what I have come to expect out of MSU.
January 4th, 2012 at 3:59 PM ^
We had a "Win and you will go to a BCS game" as well..
January 4th, 2012 at 12:02 PM ^
It's little brother's nap time, dont mind them. NOTHING TO SEE HERE!
January 4th, 2012 at 12:04 PM ^
Bell and the rest of these haters can have some of my world famous salty ballz for lunch. They barely beat Ohio without their playmakers & got smoked by ND & NU, they can STFU. VT "average"? Pleeze!!!
January 4th, 2012 at 1:31 PM ^
Uhh. Yes, VT was average, or below it. They lost by 28 points...to Clemson. Not exactly an SEC-caliber opponent.
January 4th, 2012 at 1:38 PM ^
http://espn.go.com/college-football/rankings
You see that little number by VT? Yeah, that's an 11. Maybe next year they'll teach you to count past ten. You see that little number next to Clemson? Yeah, that's a 14. Still with me? Now look at the little number next to Georgia. That's right, that's an 18. Next week we'll learn what those numbers mean, K?
January 5th, 2012 at 1:59 AM ^
...6-6 Iowa St. Does this make Okie St. average, too?
We can play this "but they lost to so-and-so" game with almost every team, but it still makes no sense. The transitive property of mathematics doesn't apply to sports.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:04 PM ^
He must have so many other things to do (e.g. STUDY) rather than posting on Twitter. Even if it was something congradulatory towards Michigan, why waste time posting on Twitter? 99% of the world could care less about what he and most everyone else on Twitter thinks. People need to get lives.
(This coming from a guy that posts on a message board on a daily basis. Hypocrite?)
January 4th, 2012 at 12:08 PM ^
I'm sure there's a ton of studying to do on January 3rd and 4th. Right?
January 4th, 2012 at 12:17 PM ^
Well if you go to Michigan, your ass better be on campus by now. Classes started.
My wife had two kids send her "We went to the Sugar Bowl, we can't make it to class" emails. She replied with a photo of her Sugar Bowl Ticket stub. Going to be a long semester for those kids.
January 4th, 2012 at 1:45 PM ^
Layin down the law!
Sidenote: when did you have to leave NO to make it back in time for class today? Halftime? Manfriend and I had to fly from New York (we didn't have a car at home, its waiting for us at DTW) and were thus dependent on airlines to get back. Luckily the only class I'm missing is a 200 level Phil course entirely unneccesary for me to graduate in April.
January 4th, 2012 at 1:50 PM ^
2 AM flight out of NOLA. We were going to drive back today, but her teaching was switched from Tue/Thurs to Wed/Fri. So hello last minute airline tickets (ugh). I did I-94 this morning on two Red Bulls and some Pepperidge Farm cookies.
January 4th, 2012 at 2:50 PM ^
That sounds... fun. Also, if those students happen to read mgo, the story of your travels will put them to shame.
January 4th, 2012 at 8:54 PM ^
You are making me feel weak. I just drove back to Birmingham and am already ready to crash. And I got to sleep until 8:30.
January 5th, 2012 at 1:43 PM ^
From the Superdome? The game ended what, after midnight? How do you get to the airport through that traffic and get through check in (though really, not much of a line later that day, so no problem then) in a hour and a half...
Impressive. Most Impressive.
January 4th, 2012 at 8:52 PM ^
Ms. CRex would make an excellent strength and conditioning coach.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:37 PM ^
If I remember the start of semester well enough, every professor was under the impression they were the only teachers handing out a gazillion pages of reading on the first class.
I also remember starting the winter semester in a hellish long line at the printers to get my coursepacks printed. I imagine the students today get to download a pdf instead of standing outside in an ice storm for three hours on East William or Forest.
Fortunately I knew a girl who worked at Shaman Drum who could pick up my books for me so as to avoid that damn line -- Ms. Matti if you're out there you still rock!
January 4th, 2012 at 12:52 PM ^
Classes at MSU don't even start until this coming Monday, so the point is that Leveon Bell isn't on Twitter instead of studying.
January 4th, 2012 at 2:41 PM ^
Regardless, you know what I meant.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:09 PM ^
and 7 this year.UM played exactly one more game at home. Oh and MSU beat an average UGA team. Congrats.
Leveon Bell is not much of a thinker nor is he much interested in being consistent.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:12 PM ^
Technically, msu played 7 home games last year. They did have a technically "neutral" site game against Florida Atlantic in the very neutral site of Ford Field in Detroit.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:05 PM ^
shut them up on the field. They were a good team that screwed up their chances for more this year, as were we. They beat us at their place; we ended the season with a better record. All the rest is undecidable.
On Monday, they still have to attend classes at the lesser institution and that is the bug that is growling around their hindquarters, one that cannot be swatted on the field.
January 4th, 2012 at 12:05 PM ^

Lol u mad?
January 4th, 2012 at 12:07 PM ^
- That he points out that Michigan played 8 home games when State played 7 home games.
- Not to mention the fact that they didn't play Penn St. either.
- Or the fact that the "average" VT team we beat was ranked #11 prior to the game, which is higher than anyone that State beat with the exception of Wisconsin. (Although, we'll be higher than that at the end.)
Spartan tears taste like Sugar. Or maybe they taste more like Whine.
