Milton/McNamara shades of Henson/Brady?

Anyone else see similaties between the 2 situations? Physical specimen vs the cerebral QB lacking elite arm strength with incredible competitiveness?

I think it's more like a Kaepernick vs Alex Smith situation, except in this scenario Kaep wasn't an electric runner or anything more than elite arm talent.

Better comparison is Franks and Trask. Franks is still.starting at Arkansas ( doesn't mean a high ceiling but limits how low the floor is) but UF's offense is much better with Trask. Franks is a big guy but would force plays.  Trask is more accurate

Re the QB situation: In Harbaugh's defense, it has to be said that Milton looked pretty good against Minnesota, which was supposed to have been a fairly good football team.  This blog sang his praises at the time.

Also, Milton’s three TD passes against IU were all “wow” throws. Kind of like golfers who forget all their hooks and slices and instead remember the couple great drives they had, thinking “it’s in me, if only I can be more consistent...”

But in truth it’s a mirage. Better to play well consistently and make good shots in a variety of situations than to kill a few drives and be all over the course other than that.

Harbaugh probably thought they might have a Cam Newton on their team and did not want to waste the opportunity. Lots of coaches at every level become enthralled to a given player’s potential, especially when they show flashes of possible greatness, which Milton did

I guess comprehension is hard.  OP didn't compare Milton to Henson or McNamara to Brady.  The point, which is not wildly off base , was that the relative differences between Milton and McNamara are similar to the relative differences between Henson and Brady.

Cade’s long post TD pass is just a fraction of what Milton’s issues are.  CJ was so wide open that Cade tossed it up soft and let CJ comfortably make the catch.

Milton would have thrown a rocket over his head and forced him to stretch to have a chance.

Wasn't Henson drafted?  Do you honestly see Milton being drafted?  His "success" is limited to one game against a bad Minnesota team.  No, not shades of either Brady or Henson.
