I live in L.A. and can report that the general consensus is that ND is way overrated.  USC has talent, however, they are not a good football team and they almost beat ND Saturday night.  Who knows maybe we have a chance.

I bet USC this weekend and they did NOT almost win that game.  I would say the game played more or less as expected with USC never once having the football in the 2nd half with a chance to take lead. Trailing by 10 in a game lined 10-11, the Trojans scored a garbage TD late against a prevent to close gap to the 3. They were up DD more of the 2nd half than they weren't.;

ND isn't way overrated. They are exactly what most think they are, a full notch below the big boys but clearly in that next group. Outside of the elite 7 this year (Bama, Wisconsin, LSU, OSU, Clemson, Oklahoma and Georgia) they are with Auburn, Penn State and Oregon and I don't think anyone disputes that either.

If we find a way to beat PSU, this game will be ROWDY under the lights. Next week will be a ton of fun for us fans with the anticipation. Also a win over penn st would instill a ton of confidence, which, in my opinion, is the biggest thing holding this team back. We have the same talent as last year (minus 2 important pieces) , but all with an additionally year of experience under their belts.  We have talent to play with these teams. PUT IT TOGETHER

Absolutely right.  Win this Saturday and Ann Arbor will be absolutely electric the following week.  B1G Championship very much in sight, most likely move to around the 10ish national ranking and it get a HUGE monkey off Harbaugh's back cause it will mean he beat a higher ranked team, on the road, at night.

Of course the opposite is also true dont forget.  If we get beat, especially if we get pasted a-la the 2017 game, the crowd will not be very happy and all the talking heads covering the game will focus on is year #5 of Harbaugh and the results not meeting expectations.

This is a very big game for the program for a lot of reasons.  Just like like year's OSU game, this year's PSU game holds huge ramifications outside the game itself one way or the other.

Well here's hoping they can shock the world this Saturday and beat PSU, cause if they could do that if it would create a pretty electric atmosphere for ND.

And Wisconsin@OSU is noon on FOX that day. So beat Penn State this Saturday, see Wisconsin beat OSU then settle in for a nice relaxed Non-Conference matchup at 7:30. Sounds like a good stretch.

Any chance we could bring back Musberger to do this game?  When Brent broadcasts a Michigan/ND game, Michigan is 8-1.

If not, bring back former Notre Dame killers like Anthony Carter, Desmond Howard, Mario Manningham, Chris Perry, Remy Hamilton and Denard?  Harbaugh (who was 2-0 against them) will already be there.  Let them stand the sidelines for maximum yet hopeful good luck.

Fuck...Notre Dame....FOREVER.
