He also disproved the argument that knowing run vs. pass is somehow a 21 point advantage. Michigan didn’t throw a pass the last 36 minutes of the game and scored 17 points in that time. Penn State knew our play call was going to be run every time and still couldn’t stop us.

Never disliked Franklin or Tucker. They don’t seem like assholes like Dantonio. Just incompetent which actually makes them kinda likeable. (Frames did have the sandwich incident and Tucker acting clueless after the tunnel incident but I think that speaks more to the incompetence)
What do you consider a successful season for JJ next year? With our run game do you see his numbers changing much next year?
When a top 100 college players list was posted a bit back I saw people complaining that JJ wasn’t on it but somehow he seemed underwhelming.
His stats look good overall, 64.6% completion, 8.4 ypa, 22/5 TD/INT and of course 12-1 record but his 2,719 yards was 51st in the country and only had 2 300 yard games (TCU and Indiana) and his second best was 263 at OSU.
Is the Antjuan Simmons thing Milton saying “I wasn’t really worried about him. He’s a heck of a player, but he wasn’t really on my radar,” in a post game press conference?
Seems like a pretty innocuous thing to say after you just got beat by a rival. Not a great look but not a reason to dislike a guy in my opinion.
He should have given that 2015 call in monotone and then every time a Sparty tried to replay it hit them with a DMCA complaint. (I don’t even know what that is obviously). Seems so childish to think that certain announcers are biased against your team. Talking heads, beat writers, Herbie sure. But play by play guys should be the most professional of the lot.

For me 2021 was magical. 2008 was my first year as a fan and 2011 seemed like something I could barely remember. 2021 was purer somehow because it was something that seemed impossible. We beat Ohio State. None of the talk or stories after really mattered AT ALL to me.
So 2022 was great but I can’t see anything topping 2021.
There’s a YouTube video with some of the radio calls and Dans “Yehhhssss” after some of the Haskins TDs were so beautiful. I think he did one after both the second and the third. (Hard to keep track when there were five).

I think Kenneth Walker was a WAY bigger snub than Blake. And that is not a compliment to MSU. The fact that he was able to put up those numbers at State was insane. Look at their offense as soon as he left. Blake was definitely best in conference but he had an infinitely better team around him.
I feel like there’s an interesting split in Michigan fans on this point. I’d 100% rather play TCU.
Was really hoping OSU wouldn’t make it at all but will settle for Georgia whomping them. Even if OSU was a weaker team than TCU I’d still rather not play OSU a second time. I think it’s a we already beat these guys let them fade into the background for the next twelve months and we can go on to bigger things mentality. What have they done to deserve a chance for a rematch so soon?
