I thought this was the point in the season where we were supposed to schedule our in-state FCS patsy...
October 14th, 2019 at 11:30 AM ^
Four weeks too early, for Alabama.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:47 AM ^
You can thank Warde...
October 14th, 2019 at 11:29 AM ^
To hell with Notre Dame!
October 14th, 2019 at 11:29 AM ^
Network hopefully ABC. can’t stand Fox or NBC.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:30 AM ^
Agreed... ABC confirmed, though.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:41 AM ^
Confirmed on ABC it was in the same tweet that announced the time just WD had to be the first one to blow his load and couldn't include it as well..
October 14th, 2019 at 1:46 PM ^
The Mouse had the rights to the game since before the season started. Kind of a given. NBC only does home ND games and FOX has baseball at night.
October 14th, 2019 at 12:31 PM ^
Will almost certainly be ABC. NBC only covers ND home games. I don't think you'll ever see another college football game on NBC otherwise.
October 14th, 2019 at 12:38 PM ^
I like Johnson and Klatt but the amount of commercial timeouts on Fox are absurd and aggravating. DVR is a must. It's almost unwatchable live. I don't have data but it seems to me like ESPN/ABC is not as commercial intensive.
October 14th, 2019 at 12:41 PM ^
Yep. Despite Johnson and Klatt being a good team, I'll take ABCs top couple pairings every time over FOX. McElroy sucked this weekend, but you only get him when you're playing an Illinois or Rutgers type game.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:30 AM ^
Another national evening showcase of Michigan in a big game ... my liquor cabinet, and liver, will be getting quite a workout this fall
October 14th, 2019 at 11:31 AM ^
Illinois was supposed to enable Interval training
October 14th, 2019 at 12:49 PM ^
Tell me about it....2 weeks in a row of Harbaugh/Michigan bashing for the talking heads......
October 14th, 2019 at 2:47 PM ^
I feel bad the nation has to be subjected to this offense two weeks in a row.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:30 AM ^
Network hopefully ABC. can’t stand Fox or NBC.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:34 AM ^
It’s ABC, yes.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:35 AM ^
Its ABC
October 14th, 2019 at 11:31 AM ^
Not shocked. Game I chose to attend this year. October has always been a lucky month for me. Gonna need it this year. Choose optimism. Go Blue
October 14th, 2019 at 11:34 AM ^
I live in L.A. and can report that the general consensus is that ND is way overrated. USC has talent, however, they are not a good football team and they almost beat ND Saturday night. Who knows maybe we have a chance.
October 14th, 2019 at 1:05 PM ^
Glad you are confirming. That was my take too but I'm not all that in tune with USC this year.
October 14th, 2019 at 1:13 PM ^
I bet USC this weekend and they did NOT almost win that game. I would say the game played more or less as expected with USC never once having the football in the 2nd half with a chance to take lead. Trailing by 10 in a game lined 10-11, the Trojans scored a garbage TD late against a prevent to close gap to the 3. They were up DD more of the 2nd half than they weren't.;
ND isn't way overrated. They are exactly what most think they are, a full notch below the big boys but clearly in that next group. Outside of the elite 7 this year (Bama, Wisconsin, LSU, OSU, Clemson, Oklahoma and Georgia) they are with Auburn, Penn State and Oregon and I don't think anyone disputes that either.
October 14th, 2019 at 1:47 PM ^
Not sure I'd include Georgia in there any longer.
October 14th, 2019 at 2:30 PM ^
What was the spread on the USC-Notre Dame game?
October 14th, 2019 at 12:55 PM ^
The long range forecast is calling for a high of 53 that day and partly cloudy so temps at game time should be in the mid-40's.
And yeah, confidence in the forecast that far out is low, but late October, mid-40's at night would be about right.
October 14th, 2019 at 1:23 PM ^
I thought we save the night games for our top rivals like Middle Tennessee State University, what gives???
October 14th, 2019 at 11:40 AM ^
Hoping for some UTL magic in this one. We miss you Denard!
October 14th, 2019 at 11:41 AM ^
All night games all the time these days.
University of Michigan football - the LSU Tigers of the north.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:49 AM ^
I'm good with this. Except I'd like to see some LSU-like effort and performance from Michigan in these games.
October 14th, 2019 at 12:20 PM ^
we literally just played like 4 straight noon games
October 14th, 2019 at 12:49 PM ^
5 straight. Army, Wisconsin, Rutgers, Iowa, and Illinois were all noon games.
October 14th, 2019 at 3:42 PM ^
Go back and watch the 2011 game
October 14th, 2019 at 11:43 AM ^
Really hope they don't make Wisconsin @osu a night game either. I would like to watch that
October 14th, 2019 at 11:58 AM ^
Just announced as noon on FOX.
October 14th, 2019 at 12:32 PM ^
Yes! Perfect!
October 14th, 2019 at 11:44 AM ^
If we find a way to beat PSU, this game will be ROWDY under the lights. Next week will be a ton of fun for us fans with the anticipation. Also a win over penn st would instill a ton of confidence, which, in my opinion, is the biggest thing holding this team back. We have the same talent as last year (minus 2 important pieces) , but all with an additionally year of experience under their belts. We have talent to play with these teams. PUT IT TOGETHER
October 14th, 2019 at 11:49 AM ^
there has been improvement, just need to clean up the turnovers and keep grinding.
Onward, Go Blue
October 14th, 2019 at 11:50 AM ^
Agree - a win at PSU puts us right back in the hunt, offensive warts and all... And that would drive the ND night game to emo levels few in Ann Arbor have ever seen!
October 14th, 2019 at 12:20 PM ^
Absolutely right. Win this Saturday and Ann Arbor will be absolutely electric the following week. B1G Championship very much in sight, most likely move to around the 10ish national ranking and it get a HUGE monkey off Harbaugh's back cause it will mean he beat a higher ranked team, on the road, at night.
Of course the opposite is also true dont forget. If we get beat, especially if we get pasted a-la the 2017 game, the crowd will not be very happy and all the talking heads covering the game will focus on is year #5 of Harbaugh and the results not meeting expectations.
This is a very big game for the program for a lot of reasons. Just like like year's OSU game, this year's PSU game holds huge ramifications outside the game itself one way or the other.
October 14th, 2019 at 1:00 PM ^
For all of those reasons, I like our chances.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:50 AM ^
F Night Games!!
October 14th, 2019 at 11:51 AM ^
That sucks.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:56 AM ^
Well here's hoping they can shock the world this Saturday and beat PSU, cause if they could do that if it would create a pretty electric atmosphere for ND.
October 14th, 2019 at 11:58 AM ^
And Wisconsin@OSU is noon on FOX that day. So beat Penn State this Saturday, see Wisconsin beat OSU then settle in for a nice relaxed Non-Conference matchup at 7:30. Sounds like a good stretch.
October 14th, 2019 at 12:04 PM ^
Any chance we could bring back Musberger to do this game? When Brent broadcasts a Michigan/ND game, Michigan is 8-1.
If not, bring back former Notre Dame killers like Anthony Carter, Desmond Howard, Mario Manningham, Chris Perry, Remy Hamilton and Denard? Harbaugh (who was 2-0 against them) will already be there. Let them stand the sidelines for maximum yet hopeful good luck.
Fuck...Notre Dame....FOREVER.
October 14th, 2019 at 12:56 PM ^
Keith Jackson available?
October 14th, 2019 at 1:01 PM ^
No, but Marshall Mathers is.
October 14th, 2019 at 12:19 PM ^
hooray for cold evening in late October
October 14th, 2019 at 12:25 PM ^
Let's get Gameday in Ann Arbor!
