Michigan makes top 5 for ATH Kamonte Grimes
Don Brown venturing down south!?! Color me impressed.
Aubrey Solomon, Anthony Solomon, Jordan Anthony, Jaylen Harrel, Jaydon Hood, Taylor Upshaw, George Johnson, Sammy Faustin and Josh Uche say hi.
Somebody is a little sensitive today.
I see this a lot these days. Someone makes an incorrect statement (I do this all the time so no judgement) then someone posts facts and the original poster says "Don't be so sensitive" or something like that. Just find it strange.
maybe OP was sensitive.
Yeah, I hope you feel better about yourself tomorrow.
Yes, please. This kid is a good looking athlete. Michigan corners have had a hard time transitioning to the NFL, but he could play on Sundays.
Does ATH mean he's super raw, or? Feels weird to me, lots of 5* 99.9999% athletes have defined positions.
I think when you're 6'2" and 185 lbs. with speed, that just means you can go in a lot of different directions: CB, S, WR. He would be a guy I would recruit in NCAA Football and then just figure out what his rating is at each of those positions and play him at the best one.
Right now I actually think he's a better looking wide receiver than defensive back, but putting him with Mike Zordich and Don Brown sounds like a recipe for success.
But Magnus, what if the recruit on the video game was from Connecticut or New Hampshire? Is he still a take? Asking for a friend.
He would be an interesting addition. His tape is mostly him playing WR plus a bit of QB and S, so kinda hard to see what he's like at CB. He's a tall, well built, fluid athlete who seems like S could be his best position, but if the staff likes him at CB, then I'll trust them
He looks like he might out grow the CB position. He looks like he has the size and the athleticism to move to the viper position.
Grimey!
Weird, where are the offers from the Florida schools?
I think we get him.
Offensively he's got solid hands, moves like a pass catching TE.
Reminds me of Trey Burton (another ATH) on offense.
Defensively we are recruiting him at CB and telling him he'll like grow into a VIPER.
He doesn't have the hips or the feet to play CB. He can play NB on the line of scrimmage, jamming guys and blitzing from that inside CB spot. But ultimately, I think he could be a 2nd round draft pick if he plays VIPER. You can see Khaleke Hudson, EASILY, when you watch him play defense.
Trey Burton on offense Hudson on defense.
Starting to think about adding Xavier Worthy back to the best guess list but wanted to stick to 25.

Looks like a really good athlete but I can see the positional uncertainty. He's tall but skinny, and so I could see him bounce around a bit on campus for a year before settling in somewhere. At first blush he feels like a WR more than a corner just because of his dimensions and (admittedly my limited highlight watching) longer stride, but I would trust Zordich and Brown to turn him into a top corner if that made sense.
I see positional flexibility rather than uncertainty.
Any relationship to Frank?
WANT
I've watched his tape many times and I was impressed by his skills. He brings a rare blend of versatility that can help play multiple roles.
Id love Michigan to start getting more of the 6'1 190 CBs and less of the 5'9 165 kids
