Adding this for the OP who decided to provide minimal information.
September 25th, 2022 at 2:44 PM ^
Good for Minnesota, although that's still not too much respect for a 4-0 team that has demolished all of its opponents (including two P5 teams). They're behind eight one-loss teams.
September 25th, 2022 at 3:32 PM ^
I'm glad seeing Washington get moved up again. They're maybe the best team in the Pac-12 (USC's lack of defense is going to bite them in the ass).
September 25th, 2022 at 5:13 PM ^
Could polls be any dumber. So, Wake Forest takes the #5 team to overtime and then drops 5 spots. It's as dumb as judging something by getting a bunch of likes of facebook.
September 26th, 2022 at 7:01 AM ^
Doesn't work that way if you lose to Bama by one does it?
September 25th, 2022 at 2:32 PM ^
No surprise.
#5 Clemson struggled more than we did, needing two OTs to beat Wake Forest.
#6 Oklahoma lost.
#7 USC needed a last-minute TD to escape Oregon State.
#8 Kentucky scraped past 1-3 Northern Illinois by one score.
September 25th, 2022 at 2:38 PM ^
And Georgia didn't exactly look stellar.
September 25th, 2022 at 2:43 PM ^
In fact, most of the top 25 did not cover vs the spread
UGA, Michigan, Penn State, Clemson, Tennessee, Kentucky, NC State, Oklahoma (L), USC, BYU, Oregon, Ole Miss, Miami (L), Pitt, Texas (L), Arkansas (L)
Utah, Washington, Bama, Ohio State, TA&M (W) vs Arkansas, and Baylor covered.
September 25th, 2022 at 4:05 PM ^
And Minnesota- haha
September 25th, 2022 at 5:09 PM ^
They weren’t ranked
September 25th, 2022 at 2:32 PM ^
Wait. This can't be right. Where's Sparty?
September 25th, 2022 at 2:42 PM ^
Inexplicably still in the "Others receiving votes" of the coaches poll.
September 25th, 2022 at 2:45 PM ^
That vote is for Defeat with Dignity 7 points in the last 2 minutes.
September 26th, 2022 at 7:02 AM ^
Yes. This just shows you the validity of these.
September 25th, 2022 at 4:18 PM ^
The disrespekt level is unreal
September 25th, 2022 at 2:33 PM ^
Rank Kansas you cowards
September 25th, 2022 at 2:46 PM ^
If they were in the SEC they'd be #11.
September 25th, 2022 at 2:57 PM ^
See Texas A&M. Lost to App St. Victory over Miami now meaningless. But they move up because they beat Arkansas and there’s NOOO way they are overrated.
September 25th, 2022 at 3:35 PM ^
The SEC circle jerk is tiresome. A&M is a fringe top 25 team. Kentucky might not be one of the best 8 teams in the SEC.
September 25th, 2022 at 3:09 PM ^
I'm more sad they didn't get game day last week against Duke. Seemed like it be a better choice tbh
September 25th, 2022 at 3:30 PM ^
#27 in the coaches poll and #26 in the media poll. Beat Iowa State and it will happen.
September 25th, 2022 at 2:34 PM ^
#4 in the AP too. Was thinking that Clemson might jump us due to beating a ranked WF, but no change. Maryland certainly looked like a team that could be ranked top 25 by the end of the year.
September 25th, 2022 at 2:37 PM ^
There are always some teams in that #21-25 range that no one actually thinks is any good. Wake was one of those teams.
September 25th, 2022 at 2:59 PM ^
It's rare for a team to drop after a win. Perhaps if Clemson had won 49-0, then maybe. An overtime win against a Wake Forest team that nobody really thought was any good doesn't move the needle.
September 25th, 2022 at 2:35 PM ^
How the actual phuck is Staee still getting honorable mention recognition (13 pts) in the poll?
That team looks so awful they may end up going 3-9 by season's end.
September 25th, 2022 at 2:39 PM ^
That's amazing. So 13 people voted for them at #25? Or some people voted them higher than that?
September 25th, 2022 at 2:45 PM ^
Does Tuck have a vote, and does he have Sparty top 15?
September 25th, 2022 at 2:40 PM ^
Sparty plays at Maryland next. That could be another beat down for Mel and his crew as the Terps will be anxious to take revenge after losing to Michigan.
September 25th, 2022 at 4:20 PM ^
Catch me saying Go Terps on Saturday
September 25th, 2022 at 2:55 PM ^
One vote could've been Mel's. P.J. and DeBoer could be others to make their wins look better. The thing is these are coaches, who have no reason to vote honestly.
September 25th, 2022 at 3:16 PM ^
Rob F…you must not have heard…
Tuck is cummin, sharting, and smokes cigars afterwards. Voters are into that kink.
September 25th, 2022 at 3:29 PM ^
Oregon State getting about half as many votes as MSU is particularly glaring since The Beavers have actually been a good team this year and put a fight up against USC, a team that would have stomped a mudhole in MSU and walked it dry.
September 25th, 2022 at 8:39 PM ^
Sparty not winning until November, mark that down
September 25th, 2022 at 2:38 PM ^
Good for Michigan. The Golden Gophers deserve their Top 25 ranking.
September 25th, 2022 at 2:51 PM ^
The ACC is filling the BIG-Is-Awful void
September 25th, 2022 at 3:21 PM ^
Surprised we didn’t move down to five. Clemson’s defense may have given up a ton of points, but they still went on the road and beat a ranked team. Michigan struggled to put away an unranked team at home. I wouldn’t have been upset if they’d swapped spots.
September 25th, 2022 at 3:26 PM ^
This is also a Clemson team that was in first-half dog fights with La Tech and Georgia Tech, so I think the voters are taking that into account. And per SP+ Maryland is considered a better team than WF and that was the case coming into the game as well. Wake has an amazing offense but an atrocious defense and them being ranked had more to do with preseason rankings and inertia than an accurate assessment of their play this season.
September 25th, 2022 at 4:03 PM ^
Winning in 2OT is basically tying. Unless it's against a top 5 team, that's not going to move the needle.
September 25th, 2022 at 3:22 PM ^
I genuinely cannot fathom NCStates ranking, and Kansas not being ranked. NCState beat Texas Tech, and 3 terrible football teams, and are in the top 10. Kansas has beaten West Virginia, Houston, and Duke. Pitt is ranked for losing to Tennessee. Wtf?
September 25th, 2022 at 4:50 PM ^
Turtle, it’s so an ACC team has a Top 10 win…
September 25th, 2022 at 3:23 PM ^
# 4 makes sense at this point. Room for improvement. Bama and OSU not invincible this year. Agree with others here Minnesota earned their way into top 25. Oregon State might deserves some respect whipping Boise and giving USC all they could handle. Wonder how much Georgia played their starters vs. Kent State. Beat Iowa !
September 25th, 2022 at 3:31 PM ^
I didn't see any of Georgia-Kent State, but the score was 26-13 at halftime and 32-16 after three quarters, so the final score (39-22) seems to reflect how it went.
September 25th, 2022 at 3:43 PM ^
I'm good with this. Close games happen. But in all truth I don't feel like we were ever in true danger yesterday. I never had any heart palpitations. Not like the Rutgers game last year in which we legit could of lost. Go Blue!
September 25th, 2022 at 7:31 PM ^
Sounds good to me. Beat Iowa!
