a look at this thread and tell me who the douche is. You should not support and encourage posters like the ones clowning on here will troll face and other middle school shit like that. It used to be that posters like that got annihilated so fast they just went to other blogs to be assholes because they didn’t have an audience here. Now for some insane reason people like you kiss their ass like they are the cool kids on the playground. Their only purpose is to interfere with good discussion and be dicks and you give them a platform by taking their cue. You have been around long enough to know better.

I'm with you ak. There are many reasons this could have happened and it's irresponsible to speculate. The OP completely screwed up here. Share the news, outline the article and discuss from there. Karsen says in the article, "I'm not ready to make a commitment yet." Guessing from there is unfair to the kid and the universities involved.

Same goes for injury and legal trouble. I don't want to hear it until it's released by the school or an insider (Webb, umbig11, etc.)

he commits somewhere else, then yes we cooled on him.  If he ends up coming here, no, we knew we had him the whole time.

Maybe he just flat out isn't ready to make a decision. He has plenty of time to choose and wants to make the best decision for his future. Doesn't mean we've cooled on him or he's cooled on us. Just wants to take more time

think it is really easy for a kid to get caught up in excitement over where he recently or last visited and think there is some real urgency to commit.  Then they get back home and realize that all that they just saw will still be there after they give it a little more thought.

Stop worrying about kids decision making in their junior year of high school. The irrational thinking happened when he moved his announcement date up to Friday immediately after a visit. It is completely cool headed to take his time and weigh his options.

Star gazers would have hated his commitment, doom and gloomers read into this as Michigan can't even land a three star, and I guess trolls want to blame Michigan for cooling.

It's recruiting you guys! Sheeshh!

think it just means any recruit who has indicated that they will be attending a certain school but don't want to publicize it yet for a multitude of reasons.  But as Hail Yea says, a silent commit is not much of a commit and I doubt coaches even stop recruiting for that spot.

A kid who tells the coaching staff he is commited so he doesn't lose his spot in the class, but then doesnt make it public. Usually because they want to take part in some sort of commitment event, like Tarik's school had a big day for all football players committing to colleges or if a guy wants to put on a hat at an all star game, or release some sort of commit video, etc. Silent commits are considered even more flakey than the non-binding verbal commit because theres no public scrutiny/twitter backlash when they flip their silent commitment.

think the kid has a relationship with MSU's OL coach and he was asked to push back his commitment. I also hear Warriner will be paying him a visit on his way back from Illinois so we did not cool on him.
