I haaaaate Jemele Hill. I also feel bad for people who lose their livelihood (even if they’re horrible at it and a stupid person). So, I’ll do a little cheer for not having to see her on TV anymore, but I guess I’m not gonna throw a whole party for it.

Her buyout isn’t going to be some college football coach buyout. It’ll probably be a little less than the remainder on her contract, which is probably for less than you think it is.
She’ll also land somewhere, so I don’t even feel sorry for her. I just don’t wish for everyone I hate to lose their job.

She's not losing her livelihood. Its an amicable split. She wants out, and they don't want to put her on the air anymore. So she's getting paid what she's owed on her contract so she can actually go do what she wants to.

If I were ESPN I'd pay the balance of her contract to avoid a potential discrimination suit asking for punitive damages.
There's no way they'd have to worry about someone like Desmond over something like that if he were let go.

Those who enjoy professional sports programming care. Professional and sports were two areas in which Jemele failed. ESPN has decided to focus on those two areas again so they cut Jemele.

I mean yeah she had some shrill moments when Michigan was the subject. But she also loudly stood opposed to MSU during recent scandals. And, ya know, she's a person. So although it isn't "max poor form" this thread is still in poor form.

Neg away, but as bad as Jemele Hill was on TV (she was awful), she wasn’t the worst writer back when she wrote for the Freep back when she started. Somewhere along the way she probably hung around Rob Parker too much and picked up the shtick.
Now I am surprised they didn’t split with Michelle Beadle who now openly says she will not watch college or nfl football.
