congratulations to a great person first and foremost … a class act who decided that this team was going to be different and he was going to lead by example …. remember watching his dad have a great career and what a leader he was …. 97 squared …. GO BLUE !!!!

So happy for him and the program...and the fans to be honest too.  They deserve it.  Last year was such a shitty time for Aidan after getting injured and the program after opt outs, injuries, and a shit record, and it's so great to see all their hard come come to fruition and go full circle.  We are so lucky to have Aidan on this team and he is doing so much to help this program rejuvinate.

Walker should be in there over Stroud IMHO. I don't even see a need for Stroud to be there, period.

In other news.....congrats to Aidan. He's really poured it on at the right time and is deserving.

The crazy thing is that Stroud more than likely sealed his Heisman finalist nomination due to the ass-whooping he put on the Michigan State defense, and Walker was "snubbed" because of that game.

Point being.

Win, or at least compete in big time games, and you'll have a better shot of getting your guy into the Heisman mix.

Sparty shat the bed and Walker should be PISSED at his coaches, not the system.

I think the real snub wasn't Walker, it was Will Anderson.

not sure why not 5 finalists ether...

Take out Michigan and NW and Walker's TD count plummets by half

Outstanding.  Hope he wins.  Pocket will be the best QB out of that group in the NFL…Young will win…Hutch should win and stroud can piss off.

I know there are individual awards for best defensive player...

Hutchinson will finish 2nd in the Heisman voting. That's the strongest proof I can think of that Hutchinson is the best defensive player in college football.

Hutch is the most valuable player in America. The difference he makes on the field is game changing. He doesn't play both sides of the ball but none of the other guys do either!  good luck young man!

Heisman finalist but not for defensive player of the year? I mean come on!  Thibedaux is gonna be good but wasn’t great this year. Davis is only there because he accounts for 2 lineman but is only good for 2 plays at a time and gassed by the half. Unless they give Hutch the heisman he’s getting royally screwed.

I really don't understand MSU fans here. Then again, when does anyone understand them? They made fun of Michigan fans for years for claiming the "September Heisman". Since when does a big performance in October win you the Heisman? It's laughable that they get so ticked off about this. Imagine this scenario. Hutch has a huge game vs MSU, shuts down KWIII and Michigan wins. KWIII then owns the month of November, MSU beats OSU and wins the B1G. Meanwhile, Hutch falls off and gets banged up in November. He has a bad, banged up game against OSU and they crush us. Now imagine in that scenario still thinking Hutch should go to New York over KWIII. Delusional.

Stats for 2018 and 2019 running backs (last full seasons) that finished top 10 in heisman voting:

2018
7th: 204 carries, 1658 yards, 8.1 avg., 24 TDs
9th: 307 carries, 2194 yards, 7.1 avg., 16 TDs
10th: 214 carries, 1909 yards, 8.9 avg., 22 TDs

2019
4th: a DE with 32 tackles, 14 assists, 16.5 sacks, 7 forced fumbles, 0 fumble recoveries
5th: 320 carries, 2003 yards, 6.3 avg., 21 TDs (252 receiving yards, 5 TDs)
6th: 301 carries, 2003 yards, 6.7 avg., 21 TDs
8th: 328 carries, 2094 yards, 6.4 avg., 21 TDs
9th: 207 carries, 1614 yards, 7.8 avg., 19 TDs (432 yards receiving with 4 TDs, too)

Hutch
33 tackles, 25 assists, 14 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery (should be 3 and 2, with a TD).

His stats are on par with the 2019 DE (I didn't know Chase had 7 forced fumbles, that's crazy), but one stat that isn't reported is QB hurries, which having watched both of these players I think Aidan could've been slightly higher. Worthy of a heisman? I don't know. If he finished 2nd I wouldn't bat an eye. If he finished 1st I'd be slightly surprised and feel bad for Suh.

Walker
264 carries, 1646 yards, 6.2 avg., 18 TDs (89 receiving yards, 1 TD).

His average yards per carry is worse than everyone here. He isn't a productive receiver. I don't really think he was snubbed with an invite to NYC. Was he the best RB in the NCAA this year? He's up there, you could make the argument for #1. He had 4 great games against Michigan, Rutgers, Miami, and Northwestern. Otherwise his stats are ok.
