If it's not the meaning of life, the answer is always 45.37.

Donta Foreman better be one of the finalists. His numbers are insane at Texas this year.
December 5th, 2016 at 7:05 PM ^
I can't imagine how bad they would've been without him. He was absolutely shredding people this year and they still went 5-7
Then again, the Big 12 caveat applies to D'onta just like it applies to Baker Mayfield and Dede Westbrook. A lot of people would have very pretty offensive numbers in that league. Would Lamar Jackscon have passed for 40 TDs and rushed for 30 in that league? Why not

Deep thoughts from Paul Finebaum:
Do you think Alabama can afford to lose vs. Washington & still make the @CFBPlayoff Championship? pic.twitter.com/w3EkVf2eRB

There are certainly years no one separates, so typically the QB of the #1 team gets it. Erick Crouch, Gino Torretta come to mind.

Probably should be Lamar Jackson, D'onta Foreman, and Dede Westbrook.

If you are going to nominate a guy because of GREAT offensive stats... then the rule should be, he CANT be from a conference that DOESNT PLAY DEFENSE. Meaning, sure, Westbrook's stats are glossy (as is his QB's), but cmon... against THAT conference? It's not fair to everyone else.

Jackson
Mayfield
Peppers
Watson
Westbrook

Goes to show that the rule holds true. The Heisman is for the best offensive player on one of the best teams

Pleasantly surprised by Peppers getting the nod. I was worried that the out of touch voters wouldn't realize how much he does for this team that isn't easily found in the box score.

He could have won it if he had a few more returns, a few more interceptions, some forced fumbles and done more on offense. What could have been. He had a pretty disappointing season to be honest.
Peppers 1 int, 0 forced fumbles, 170 yards offense, 3 rushing TD's, 1 punt return.
Woodson had 7 int's. Tyrann Mathieu had 6 FF's.

He won't win it. He could with 5-10 more big plays. We beat both teams in the B1G championship game. Speight doesn't throw that pick 6 and we are in the playoff. It was a disappointing season.
