Yeah, he could redshirt. It would likely qualify as a medial redshirt. However, despite the injury I don't foresee him saying. He will not go in the first two rounds but someone would take a chance on him. Not very often you see a big ohio star staying another season after a significant injury. He will want to be paid, an frankly I can't blame him.

I'm sure this Barrett guy will be just fine and urbz will want to continue to roll with him. It's not like they don't have talent.... But like Michigan a ton of the talent is young. Thanks to the schedule ohio will escape the season with no more than four losses. Not a good year, but also not a tire fire.

He got used to filling in over the years for a hurting Braxton Miller. One thing about Urbs spread is an elite qb can take it to the next level but it doesn't take an elite guy to run it. As long as JT doesn't turn the ball over, he can rely on playmakers around him to get it done.

Just a heck of an athlete that in a college spread can put up ridiculous numbers but that won't work in the league. I've said it the past few years he'd make a great rb, but he's so damn fragile, I don't know if that would work. Maybe slot receiver or return man, but regardless it's going to be a rough transition to the NFL.

On 11 Warriors, they are reporting that Miller dislocated his shoulder yesterday...just popped out.  Coming on top of his labrum surgery in February, it's not a good sign.

Really feel sorry for the guy...he played his heart out for OSU and he is one of the better players in the B1G.  Here's hoping he recovers and is back to his old form next year, except when he plays us, of course.

If I were him, I would have gone pro after last season.  I don't know if his stock could have improved much this season, and in a sport where your maximum career is 10-12 years - and more likely 3-5 years - every year of earning power matters.

Sucks for him. Again, I don't wish injuries.

They're definitely going to lose some games due to this.

I was optimistic about The Game this year based off of what Michigan has done the last 3 years against them. Now, I'm really optimistic.

No Hyde or Braxton. Those two guys are the reason Michigan hasn't won 2 of the last 3 and possibly 3 in a row against them.

a rare OSU QB who is very good and personality wise doesn't piss me off, I respect the kid, something that has to be earned for OSU players from me. Suck and feel bad for him. I hope now that Urban has to use his QBs(not tressels) he's exposed, he rode Miller to prestige, now he had to coach....or quit again.

I agree ... I never felt dislike for Miller personally.  I always thought he seemed a good young man and a very good football player.

What I liked was the way he seemed to mature and improve as a QB year to year.  He was getting scary-good at resisting the urge to run, and to become more of a finesse passer.  Lots of really athletic QBs never make the transition, but Miller was one who seemed to be making great strides in that direction.
