To be honest, I am in my late 20s, have varied musical interests, and also love the Chainsmokers. They are fun and their shows are fun (yes, I've seen them live, they were great, everyone there had fun, I highly recommend it).
You all can keep hating. No one argues their music is world changing or that they are Tchaikovsky (another favorite incidentally) or savants, but in today's world I am happy to take positive, upbeat, light-hearted fun when I can get it.

I am with you. I like it too. Not sure if it matters, but I am 41. I don't care if they are called the Nickelback of EDM. I think that is kind of funny, even though Nickelback sucks.

Roses is a great song. Chainsmokers were really fun before they started trying to sing themselves and blew up as the generic EDM group. Saw them at Royal Oak Music Theater 3-4 years ago and it was a really fun show.

1 attended NYU and the other Syracuse, so no, absolutely no connection. This is dumb as shit given all the people they could have gotten. Elefante has some good EDM music and he's from Ann Arbor. This is weird. Do we know they're confirmed to be the pickers?
