East Lansing weather forecast

50% chance of rain and 20-30 mph winds, which will make this score even tighter.

Let's hope the same OL performance we did last week and Don Brown has the boys up front ready to go.

The game plan will not change: run the ball, rely on the strength of the team which is the defense, and take opportunities when they present themselves.

The running game will have some wrinkles, which is awesome and could get M moving on the ground.  If you were able to crack that defense on the ground they'd be in real trouble.  So M will definitely try that first.  When field position opportunities or something they've seen on tape allow for some risk, they'll take some.  But anyone expecting them to throw it all day a la ASU or NW are fooling themselves.  Michigan doesn't need to, it has a defense it trusts and a kicking game they feel is better than MSU's.

I think we will be ok as long as we keep attacking.  Even if we don’t succeed on a certain series, keep trying, keep attacking.  If we fall into Mork’s mud pit, rock fight trap, then we are going to have another year of wondering how spartan fans can breathe through their mouths and talk shit at the same time.

Isn’t MSU getting back a bunch of players? Didn’t they get some back for PSU that they didn’t have for NW?  I’m just saying that I think this MSU team may be better than the first half of the year because they’re returning some guys. Can anyone remember who it is they were missing/are getting back?

While everyone is gnashing their teeth and wailing about variables they can’t control, here’s something else to freak you out:  Penn State has a large and respected meteorological school, and their graduates have a good placement record.  Chances are, a PSU grad is behind many of your weather read-outs.

That said, Go Blue; Fuck MSU.

NOAA is your best source.  Game-time conditions:

  • Temp 45-48 degrees
  • 20% chance of rain, however, it will have rained the night before so that grass field could be a mess by the 2nd half.
  • Winds at 15mph with gusts as high as 26mph

Not a great passing day and a slick field, so defense wins this game.  Conditions could keep the scoring down as a result.

Fake news.  I checked the forecast this morning and the prediction was 18% chance of rain with winds at 10-15 mph.

What source did the OP use?

It's early yet, but it's looking a little slick.

Might be a good day to have a plethora of running plays, counters, and counter-counters (check), a few great TEs for shorter routes (check), and a stellar defense (check).

This is the exact type of weather that we don't need. Windy and rainy. MSU can shut down our run game and if the weather is going to be like this then the passing game could be in jeopardy. I think this game will be low scoring and decided by 3 points.

Lewerke will be running plenty, both for his life and by design, right up the middle. That was the one thing we were inexplicably unprepared for last year. It's almost as if Lewerke was watching Devin Bush lining up very wide on a TE or slot receiver, and then he would run it right up the gut where Bush usually roams. I don't know, maybe that was even by design <sarcasm>. It's incumbent upon our coaches to have our defense better prepared this time around.

Not surprised. This is all setting up for another victory for Mork. I am out of hope and optimism.
