Chaundee Brown blows out Zion 1 shoe during summer league game.
Disn't see this posted. This is crazy. Someone is going to get seriously injured and sue the heck out of a shoe company.

Will someone please give the 12 year olds in the Malaysian Nike factory some more damn glue!

I think they might be sniffing it more than using it on the shoes, hence the defects.

Haha it's funny because they're poor ?

Poverty in Malaysia is very low and continuing to decrease, with only 0.4 percent of Malaysian households living below the national poverty line in 2015. Using the WBG's Upper Middle Income Class poverty line, poverty declined from 16.7 to 2.7 percent of the population from 2008 to 2015.

Same gdp per capita as Russia. I've been there briefly. Kuala Lumpur is a cool diverse city. I had amazing Iranian food. It's so hot and humid though I have no real desire to return lol.

Yes they are a mid-weight economy but by no means poor.
As you mentioned most people remark the very good, diverse food and culture. I still haven't been wowed by food in KL (unlike in nearby Indonesia and Thailand), however I keep trying new places and hoping to find a gem every time I visit. To me its the variety of food and accessibility of the city that never gets old (in KL at least, can't say I've gone anywhere else in Malaysia, nor am I an expert).
What Iranian restaurant did you go to?

It's probably be a design feature.
Get ready for the "be like Zion" ad campaign.

This happened to me ZERO times in my Reebok high top pumps while playing in my driveway 30 years ago. These modern shoes suck. #Bringbackthepump!

This has never happened to me in my penny loafers! #justice4pennyloafers

My Roos never had this issue either.

My Converse high tops never blew out! (No, I'm not Craig Ross)

Never happened to me in my pumps.

Never happened in velcros either.

While a student in AA i had an Adidas high top break, and rolled my ankle quite badly to point it out me out 8 months. Sent them back to Adidas and told them send me a new pair or else pay my medical bill, and they sent me a new pair.

These shoes cost me eight months of my young career - I demand another free pair of the same shoe. (Trying to see the logic here.)

Because why the F not!

I blew out the very first pair of Nikes I ever had back in the 70s playing pickup basketball at my high school gym after school. They were brand new and when I planted to make a cut the sole stayed on the court and the rest of the shoe (and my foot) kept going. Pretty weird. Never happened again.
August 13th, 2021 at 12:18 PM ^
Well, I’m guessing you never wore them again.
August 12th, 2021 at 7:22 PM ^
very fitting!

Not only did he do it while harassing the ball handler at half court but he kept playing! I miss that guy already

Needs to switch to a real shoe brand, like Starbury

That's some damn good irony

Sounds like the Lakers need a "glue guy" on their team.

Would be nice if someone taught the author of the Yahoo article what the word “ironic” means.
August 13th, 2021 at 7:40 AM ^
Alanis Morrisette?

Words misused these days?
Nah.
Now stop gaslighting that poor young author.

Let's get with the times here. I believe it's called a "sneaker" or a "kick" and not a "shoe".

My Big Ballers never blow out
August 13th, 2021 at 10:43 AM ^
Sorry to hear that. Have you sought counseling?
August 13th, 2021 at 7:29 AM ^
Or, just get another pair of shoes.
