Doesn't sound like he's rated very highly on anyone's draft board, but this certainly doesn't help his case to get drafted by anyone.

Lets be honest here, Frank Kamhoweveruspelldisky is probably a huge dick
I have never understood why saying someone is a "huge dick" is demeaning when such a thing is so celebrated in our society.
Has to be confusing for folks who have both ownership and authorship.

No that is not whom I was talking about.
as long as you say it with an "a" instead of an "er" it's okay. Or so I'm told. I got real tired of hearing the word at a school I was teaching in and ask the students what would happen if I said the word and was told that they would get the principal because I was racist. So I showed the students pictures of a fight night party where my girlfriend and I were the only white people in attendance. Told them I had been called the word and asked them if I'm constantly hearing the word what would be the odds that it may one day slip out of mouth?
I was trying to teach them that when people are constantly barraged by something they tend to become less sensitive about it. Combine that with the number of people who lack common sense or aren't all the bright and you could end up with some people who may not be racist using the word. It has gotten to the point where I have heard two white guys refer to each other with the word.

You knew a discussion even marginally rooted in race was going to bring in the lowest common denominater.
was a reason I was hoping Kentucky lost. Now I know what it is. Knuckleheaded behavior happens among all kinds of people.
I really think the comment was simply a word-salad of the most profane words Harrison could think of at the moment - not unlike the rant of some homeless guy on the street with mental health issues, or a 4-year-old calling his sister a dummy poopy vagina head. All this tedious psycho-social-racial-ethnic-cultural analysis won't bring us any closer to understanding a comment which is fundamentally nonsense.
that's a phrase that many people say many times throughout the day. probably was more second nature than some incoherent word salad.
Agreed, but I hear "fuck that shit" said several times a day. I don't try to draw any conclusions about the speaker's orientation or fetishes when I hear it, nor do I consider it more permissible for one gender to say it than another - because it's a phrase that just doesn't make sense.
We're focusing on the negative, rather than focus on and give attention to the far better, more positive potential event... what will Nigel Hayes say in this post-game press conference.
And, as if the world needed one more discussion about a word that should have already been deleted from the lexicon.
Moving through Kentucky again?
Kentucky=/=Georgia and South Carolina.
The excruciating heartbreak the fans felt was delicious - almost as tasty as sparty tears.

What an insightful discussion. So many fresh takes and unique points of view here. I've never seen any of this stated on the Internet before.
The list of things that are not right is much bigger than the list of things I'm going to get worked up about.
I get that he said it because it is likely a slang term for him. Probably not meant in a racist way. Still, I don't think it should be used at all. The bigger issue is saying anything like that at all during a press conference with a microphone right in front of you. Show some class.
Not exactly a #HotTake, I know, but my two cents.
I hate the word. I have an older and younger brother who both use the word today. I stopped using it around the time I turned nineteen when I decided how stupid I sounded calling my family, friends and peers something that's historically one of the worst things someone can be called. I understand every use of the word. I've used it every way it can be used, except the way it's been racially used against me, so I fully comprehend what Harrison said, as do most of the MGoBloggers posting above me. I don't condone it, and even Harrison knew better, because he mumbled it. It wasn't a good look...
I say we shouldn't be so concerned with what he meant. We know what he was saying. We shouldn't be mad that he gets to use it, but somebody like Frank Kaminsky can't in a response, and if he uses a white slur to refer to Harrison in return, he'd be fanning the wrong flames. We should be upset at the word, itself, but even then, there's nothing to be done about it. It's here to stay. However, if we become less outraged at its use, it'll surely become less outrageous. That's how you get something to drop out of the human record, or at least sink to a lower part of it.
but do people actually need to be told this? Do people actually think this is a racial slur? Just curious.
IRONY:
An almost all white Wisconsin team beating an almost all black Kentucky team while a black Kentucky player calls the white Wisconsin star a N****... Adolf Rupp's head would have exploded.
He could have called him something else.
I'm not really disturbed by the language, and I don't believe Harrison was making a racial slur. I am more alarmed by his horrible attitude and absolute lack of sportmanship. Frustration aside, he belongs conducting himself in a respectable manner. Last night, Harrison represented himself, his teammates, and his university as poorly as one can. He ought to be ashamed.
In addition, seeing players react in that manner further increases my appreciation of JB and the quality individuals that he has playing at Michigan.
What Harrison said was wrong, and classless. I'm sure if he could take it back he would. I am not a fan of Kentucky- they acted like sore losers last night. However, Harrison did apologize directly to Kaminsky via phone, and publicly apologized on Twitter as well. He did the only thing that can resolve the situation.
Obviously an apology doesn't remedy all situations, an apology can't bring someone back to life, but when the only harm done in this situation is saying something hateful, the only remedy is an apology to that person. This issue is resolved between Harrison and Kaminsky, the only two people who really matter in this situation- it shouldn't be argued about for a week by a bunch of people who were not a party to the incident. This isn't worth arguing about, it won't solve anything.
