Flood of coaching news tomorrow?
Did we really not get any news on DC, QB coach, WR Coach, DB coach? Are they going to just name them all at once or are they having trouble finding people? I thought for sure we would hear some news on at least 2 of these position coaches this weekend. Anyone know what's going on? Seems like Loefller would be a shoe in, but I guess not. Teryl Austin - unemployed.....come on!!!!
Yeah I know. I'm impatient.

Just like you called for people to move on in the Pat Flavin thread with respect to Hoke vs. Rich, you, too, need to heed your own advice move on with your bashing of Rich Rodriguez. It's pointless.

So I take it you were not one of the "We should have hired Hoke after the OSU game" crowd?

I heard Belichek threw the game with the Jets because he was already focused on coming to Michigan as defensive coordinator.

All coaches wanting to leave their current team and come to Michigan must throw a game against a team from Pittsburgh. Fact.

That would be epic. If Pittsburgh lost, Lamarr Woodley for LB coach?

Or he could come and be one of our DB's.

Wouldn't we expect the RB/recruiting coordinator Hoke brought with him to be the WR coach now that Fred Jackson is back?

It is probably an NFL position coach. The only reason I suspect this is if it was someone from a positional rank in college, it would have already happened.
Why Loeffler hasn't been hired yet however, I don't quite understand.
Brady Hoke was the obvious hire from the start. He showed at SDSU that he likes to hire a staff and doesn't have an ego about it. Rocky Long isn't some schmuck - he is one of the godfathers of the 3-3-5 and built a decent program at New Mexico. He could have usurped Brady's power but did not.
I have a feeling that whoever the DC is that we hire - they are going to be impressive.

From Lynne Henning's fluffer article Brian linked to:
"He's anti-technology. He doesn't even have an e-mail address."
This means that Hoke has to write out all his press releases in longhand, put them in an envelope, and wait for the US Postal Service to deliver them to the media outlets. His wife is trying to get him to learn how to "fax," but Brady is suspicious of that method of communication.

Being anti-technology in this age is double plus ungood for recruiting.

Obviously he has a college email (I mean, he would have to, right?), but I guess it's possible he wouldn't have a personal email account. Seems pretty crazy in the world we live in today, though.

We'll get nothing and like it.

As long as they don't stretch too much or have too much supervision at 7-on-7 scrimmages. Maybe we should do what tSIO does and build a huge wall around our practice facilities to keep the media out.

Doesn't Hoke have enough tenacity and grit to just coach all the positions himself?

Big name DC come quick so we can finish out this recruiting class strong.

Praying for a Randy Shannon type, but I'm not counting on it.

I'm betting that the DC will be someone most of us aren't very familiar with. If he's a big name with a hot resume, fine, but an unknown isn't necessarily a bad choice.

i hope so

I'm living in Wisconsin and a huge Wolverine fan. I'm addicted to this site now, and was wondering if there is rehab to quit checking the board every ten minutes for DC news? The Badgers are trying to convert me, however, I will not let it happen. HELP!!!!

Take it for what it's worth. It's not meant to flame CB, just post something other than his name.
