National Championship Game Open Thread

You're on this blog, I don't have to tell you who. And yeah, it's early, but it's not like it's going to get bumped off the front page with the board shut down. Plus you know you're watching the pregame anyway.

This is the kind of offense that I love.  Quick, short hitting passes out to the edge.  Rod and Magee ran it occasionally, especially near the end of games and I was starry-eyed for it.  Wish we had ran it more often.

I have a bad feeling that Auburn is going to win this game despite Oregon probably running them off the field for long swaths of the game.  Oregon really should have 10-14 points.

needs to quit it with the trick plays.

Anyone else think their unis look derivative of WVU's coal-miner inspired look? With a homage to '80's era neon leg warmers.

I agree with Herbie.  They need to quick playing cute and do what they're good at.

Edit: Maybe I should have finished fast forwarding before commenting.

So Auburn got caught trying to sub out a d-lineman..

If you are so tired you can't run off the field, and you play in the SEC (so leave morals out of this equation) .. why not just roll over with a 'cramp'.. you have to sit out the next play, but you would have anyways... Plus all your exhausted teammates get a breather?

Seems obvious enough, actually surprised its not standard practice against hurry up teams.

Am I the only one who thinks SEC speed is bullshit.  The SEC is the strongest conference, but it's because they can find really big lineman that can move and sign half-again as many of them as any other conference's teams can.
