So what is your reason for saying that RR is to blame for Michigan not being a desireable coaching job?
What I am saying is that when a coach is looking to become the Michigan head coach they won't say, "hell no see what Rodriguez did there, why would I want to coach at Michigan when Rodriguez did such a bad job?"

I would take Patterson

CEOs rarely change things unless there is a perceived better option. I doubt he will broom Richrod without having indications from the next coach of interest. I would be shocked if we end up traveling around asking coaches to come to Michigan like last time.

I say we just hire mike hart.

I have quite a few friends who attended TCU (one who is former player at TCU and knows Patterson) and talking to them, there is 0.0000001% chance of Patterson bolting from TCU. They said that Patterson loves TCU and will not be going anywhere. Regardless, either Rod is retained or Harbaugh is hired. That's it.

Please, please stop with all the Brady Hoke crap. 34-38 at Ball State with one good year. 13-12 at San Diego State with this year's decent team.
Try and make a case for that as a resume to become coach at Michigan. Try. You can't.

Urban Meyer, Pete Carroll or Lane Kiffin!
January 1st, 2011 at 9:15 PM ^
there is a guy by the name of Urban Meyer that is currently unemployed. Now I know most of us think he is dirty, slimy and well Saban esque, but look at it this way, would you rather habve him on our sideline or OSU's?
1. J. Harbaugh
2. U Meyer
3. ????
4. R Rodriguez

Meyer's "unemployed" cause he quit his dream job for reasons that still aren't entirely clear. As much as I bleed maize n blue I would have a difficult time making the case that today the Michigan HC is a bigger plumb than Florida's.

Harbaugh's been hired. Consider it fact. Quit with the speculation.

If JH has already been hired, DB is a liar. Can't deny that.

I could really go for a stick of double mint gum right about now for some strange reason

Funny how someone telling people not to speculate considers his speculation to be "fact."

He just got TCU on the map, he's not using it as a stepping stone. Maybe after he wins a MNC or at least gets to the title game, but not now. And besides as was said above, his resume reads like RR and we have seen that movie all ready.
Plus, I am sick of zone read option spread where the QB doesn't read it and keep the ball when he's your best running threat.
January 1st, 2011 at 9:19 PM ^
FUCK Pete Carroll, NO cheaters at Michigan PLEASE. Kiffin is dragging USC to mid-Pac 10 level, and Meyer is just a mystery.
Maybe we can get Cam Newton's dad to handle recruiting?

how it worked out for him leaving his success at WVU to come to UM and try a culture change. And for that matter what about JH? He has built something at Stanford and would be asked to change back from the spread here...could take 2-3 years to really turn it around, why do that if he could go to a pro team?

Can we bring Bo back from the great beyond?
January 1st, 2011 at 9:27 PM ^
I am as big a RR supporter as they come, but today was beyond sad. The team looked poor in nearly every aspect of the game. As much as it makes me want to puke, I think his time has come to an end at UM. I feel so utterly deflated from the last 4 years, yes 4, that I dont even care at this point who his successor is. Im sure I will have unfounded optimism again by next fall, but at some point I am going to have to come to grips that we have become Miami of the last decade...who will turn it around? Miami hasnt found that answer yet.
Go Blue

Bill Brasky at head coach, or at least defensive coordinator.
January 1st, 2011 at 10:14 PM ^
Bill Brasky once showed me a video of him making love to my wife, and it was the most beautiful thing I ever saw!
much more at this place

as well as a defensive coach. They run 4-2-5 and the LBs plays are always good. They have good pass rushers. They have a lot of speed and can held a potent Wisconsin offense to 19 points.
With that being said, there's almost no chance of him leaving TCU since TCU is going to the Big East.
