If fired RR goes to Florida???
Why not? With all the crap that he's been through. No coach should have to go through what RR has gone through at Michigan. I'll guarantee you that if RR would go to Florida they would beat the crap out of everybody. He would be able to recruit just about anybody he needs for a spread offense there. If he does get fired and goes to Florida I'll laugh because Michigan will have made the biggest worst coaching job decision ever.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:31 PM ^
This week has been so nice with everyone getting distracted by the Gator Bowl and not talking about our coach's job...
...why did it have to end?
December 8th, 2010 at 3:31 PM ^
it is always the kids with barely over 100 pts to post dumbass shit like this
December 8th, 2010 at 3:39 PM ^
Yeah where's mathlete when you need him? I'm thinking a chart with post count on the bottom and awfulness on the vertical axis. There's definitely a bubble around the 100 to 500 point range
December 8th, 2010 at 4:26 PM ^
No man, it's been across the board by numerous posters and different point totals. I'll give you the majority but def not all of these posters have had low point totals.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:31 PM ^
Sir what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling incoherent post was there anything close to being considered a rational thought. Everyone on this board is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:34 PM ^
I would award you points if I could but I'm not important enough.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:39 PM ^
You're important enough in my book and that's what matters.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:45 PM ^
+1 for all Billy Madison references.
December 11th, 2010 at 5:03 PM ^
+1 from a man who cannot presently act on this +1ing impulse.
I'm not saying the sentiment was nice, however. I am just praising the execution.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:31 PM ^
He's not going anywhere. link? Link
December 8th, 2010 at 3:35 PM ^
For using a picture of Roberto Mancini.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:32 PM ^
We need the mods to leave their day jobs until this post crisis has subsided and take care of business ASAP!
December 8th, 2010 at 4:17 PM ^
Problem every single thing in the news is a crisis here.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:33 PM ^
I guessed 55. Thought the negs would have been here sooner.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:38 PM ^
The real question, though, is why did you create this thread? You just got to the trusted level. Why do people keep making bad choices when they get the power to create threads? I just don't understand. Don't throw yourself into it with what you later find out is a ridiculous post. Hang out for a while, get a feel for the board, and only then post something you think the board needs.
I guess that's what it all comes down to: why would the board need this thread? I can't imagine any answers to that question that would seem reasonable. Granted, of course, that that's just me.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:34 PM ^
Because I hate threads like this, and commenting on it just makes it float towards the top and get more exposure.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:35 PM ^
Well played sir
December 8th, 2010 at 3:35 PM ^
I have zero knowledge on Florida and their coaching search, but I can almost guarantee Dan Mullen gets the job. If not, it will be Charlie Strong.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:41 PM ^
Belichek to Florida, book it.
Couldn't think of anything else to write on this dbl post
December 8th, 2010 at 3:36 PM ^
derp derp derp derp
December 8th, 2010 at 3:39 PM ^
Clicking on this thread is the biggest worst mistake I've made all day.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:39 PM ^
Please make this stop btw
December 8th, 2010 at 3:40 PM ^
Leave me with no remorse for going back to neg past posts. Completely warranted. I encourage everyone to do the same.
December 8th, 2010 at 3:49 PM ^
Maybe if Mullen goes to Florida, then RR will leave early to coach at Mississippi State!!!!! AGAINST US!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!
December 8th, 2010 at 3:54 PM ^
And because of mgoblog's love affair with all things depressing...
December 8th, 2010 at 4:15 PM ^
Florida would never consider RR. The past three years would make it hard to find a job on a somewhat successful team. Maybe Texas Tech.
December 8th, 2010 at 4:19 PM ^
I spoke to a former Florida football player, who has ties to the Florida Athletic Department, this afternoon. His comment: "Speaking for myself, I want no part of Rodriguez and I think I can safely say that virtually everyone in the athletic department feels the same way." If that's the case, it doesn't speak well for Rodriguez' reputation nationally right now. By the way, he said, that they're all in for Mullen.
December 8th, 2010 at 4:18 PM ^
I have been probably one of the loudest critic of those that come onto these threads - which are clearly aboput the CC topic - and post nasty comments, stupid pictures, cartoons, cats or boobs (ok, I like the boobs, but who doesn't).
But on this post, and the other stupid posts that simply say, "hey, Florida needs a coach. Meyer is unemployed. DUDE!! OMG!! EITHER MICHIGAN WILL GET MEYER OR RR WILL GO TO FLORIDA": please bring Bolivia to these people. I get wanting to talk about a big decision relating to our program but this - this amounts to morons sharing their brain farts. Please make it stop.
This is a call to profitgoblue to bring back his ACT or to at least come up with a new one about threads like this.
December 8th, 2010 at 4:37 PM ^
I've been hammering away behind the scenes like you advocated so passionately. You asked and you received and now you want my services again? I'm not a rag doll to be tossed around and then picked up when you need some love!
December 8th, 2010 at 4:22 PM ^
It has gotten so ridiculous at this point I go on threads like this just to see what you guys come up with to say: "Oh Shit, not again."
December 8th, 2010 at 4:24 PM ^
illustrating every reason i don't read message boards. sheesh.
December 8th, 2010 at 4:25 PM ^
Is there functionally that would allow the board to auto-delete posts through a certain number of negs?
That additional level of self policing could help clean things up.
December 8th, 2010 at 4:38 PM ^
Where is the fun in that???
December 8th, 2010 at 4:29 PM ^
come on now. You can't call yourself a fan, if you make a thread like this. Wow first Miami speculation then this. How about "hey RR is our coach and is staying that way"! So sick of these threads, guess im one of the few ones HAPPY that Michigan is back in a bowl. I think we should make a change. You can't make threads unless your at 500 or 1000 mgopoints, after the bowl and the DB decision then let these fake fans make their threads!
December 8th, 2010 at 4:32 PM ^
it's called the Gator bowl.
December 8th, 2010 at 4:33 PM ^
If anything can break Brandon's - wait until the season's over stance the coaching musical chairs that is about to begin just might do it. Miami and Florida as the head line schools with openings - betting that Dan Mullen (Miss State) gets a nice raise offer right about ..... now!
December 8th, 2010 at 4:33 PM ^
This was my favorite part:
If he does get fired and goes to Florida I'll laugh because Michigan will have made the biggest worst coaching job decision ever.
That's one hell of a sentence you just put together, kid.
December 8th, 2010 at 7:23 PM ^
Florida would win that honor...
December 8th, 2010 at 7:57 PM ^
The phrase "biggest worst" actually does a great job of summarizing this post.
December 8th, 2010 at 4:34 PM ^
Maybe the world is going to end?
December 8th, 2010 at 4:50 PM ^
I'm not sure if it was debunked, but didn't Michigan's OC visit Florida? This was originally thought to be an interview for the OC position/Rodriguez helping out his people with soft landings, but perhaps it was something else.
December 8th, 2010 at 4:55 PM ^
Would be hilarious. What a dipshit
December 8th, 2010 at 4:55 PM ^
Thank you for the stupid ass post.
I wouldn't be shocked if RR bolted for Florida, given the opportunity. He was dissatisfied with the powers that be in WV, so he ditched them. Why not here?
However, to completely absolve him from blame is retarded.
Hiring/recruiting/overseeing a completely dissolved Defense, falls entirely on his shoulders. Injuries or not.
I am so tired of people painting him as the victim.
December 8th, 2010 at 4:57 PM ^
...there is 0 chance he gets the Florida job. Zero.
There are so many people off the Florida coaching tree, many of them would be excellent candidates.
December 8th, 2010 at 5:12 PM ^
Obviously you're not a Michigan fan.
December 8th, 2010 at 5:18 PM ^
I kind of want to see Les Miles go to Florida, just for Spencer Hall's reaction.
