Just got absolutely smoked. Wow.
October 30th, 2010 at 12:50 PM ^
Props to him for stepping into that throw, but I don't think we'll see him back this game. He looks pretty damn woozy.
October 30th, 2010 at 1:29 PM ^
That was one of the nastiest hits I have seen in a while. It looked pretty clean, but his head really snapped forward before being slammed back into the turf.
Miami looked pretty bad before Harris left, and now they look awful. They were OSU's one quality win over a decent team. OSU still has to play Iowa and us, but their schedule currently doesn't look that great.
October 30th, 2010 at 12:51 PM ^
Not watching that one, is he still hobbling as bad as he was during the FSU game?
October 30th, 2010 at 12:55 PM ^
It seems when the RB is deeper than the QB it’s a run (like Tate last year), even with the QB= pass.
October 30th, 2010 at 12:56 PM ^
The rally to restore sanity and/or Fear is awesome. The mythbusters segement was hilarious.
October 30th, 2010 at 1:05 PM ^
He just said "If you throw an interception, don't make matters worse by getting yourself hurt." He was obviously referring to Jacori Harris. Yet the update from the UVa - Miami game clearly showed that Harris got hurt when he was lit-up just after releasing the pass, so it's not as though he did something foolish after the interception that resulted in the injury. WTF?
October 30th, 2010 at 1:07 PM ^
Probably meant it the other way around. If you are going to step into a throw and take a big hit, at least make the throw accurate.

October 30th, 2010 at 1:10 PM ^
I don't think that's what he actually meant, but I like Griese so I am going to pretend that is what he meant and that I just heard him wrong.
October 30th, 2010 at 1:22 PM ^
I'm going to have to agree with Ch125 on this one.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:06 PM ^
I should clarify--I was referring to Bob Griese, who is covering the Illinois-Purdue game. I did not realize Brian Griese is doing to Miami-Virginia game.
October 30th, 2010 at 1:06 PM ^
we need to block #93
October 30th, 2010 at 1:07 PM ^
Just got clothes-lined by Purdue's NG. Hopefully that happens a few more time today so he gets softened-up for next week.
October 30th, 2010 at 1:16 PM ^
Purdue is not good at all.How did they beat Northwestern?
October 30th, 2010 at 1:17 PM ^
the Miami game? Jacorey Harris got lit the fuck up!!
October 30th, 2010 at 1:21 PM ^
I've been watching the rest of the wheels come off Danny Hope's head coaching career
October 30th, 2010 at 1:28 PM ^
Harris is done for the game and his back up has thrown 3 straight picks..
October 30th, 2010 at 2:01 PM ^
He's the OC's son right? He looks pretty bad... like REALLY bad.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:21 PM ^
the OC son.. he was so bad they pulled him for the 4th string true frosh that isin't even on the depth chart.. imagine that feeling lol. Your dad pullin you for a kid like that.. the 4th string actually doesn't look bad.
October 30th, 2010 at 1:20 PM ^
Bah, it needs to be 330. These games are not very entertaining.
October 30th, 2010 at 1:23 PM ^
Down 17-0. Fantastic. How will the power of that jagoff stache save you now?
There's precious little better than Saturday Schadenfreude.
October 30th, 2010 at 1:26 PM ^
The ESPN3 halftime show is fucking terrible.
October 30th, 2010 at 1:30 PM ^
When is Cinemax going to launch a soft-porn halftime show? That's what is needed.
October 30th, 2010 at 1:32 PM ^
on ESPN isn't much better... but that might be because i think robert smith is a giant douche...
October 30th, 2010 at 1:31 PM ^
turn on comedy central....Ozzy vs. Yousef (aka Cat Stevens)...epic
October 30th, 2010 at 1:37 PM ^
Yeah this shit is pretty hilarious right now, got to be better than this set of noon games.
October 30th, 2010 at 1:44 PM ^
True. Funny stuff.
EDIT: Galarraga!
October 30th, 2010 at 1:36 PM ^
NIce little back and forth to end that half in Bloomington. IU's D has looked competent for the most part
Storyline now is can the Cuse hold on for another big win......and if the Vols can stay in this and somehow nip the Gamecocks, then the SEC East race is even more choatic and the stakes for the Cocktail Party later today are raised several pints worth of Bourbon and Lynchburg Lemonade
October 30th, 2010 at 1:36 PM ^
That will be a tough game.
October 30th, 2010 at 1:43 PM ^
It sure is looking that way. But hopefully they are just peaking right now in a home game against a terrible opponent.
October 30th, 2010 at 1:48 PM ^
Illinois might not be bad, but man. PU's D makes ours look somewhere between competent and good. How does Leshoure get so ridiculously far open?
October 30th, 2010 at 1:47 PM ^
Yeah, that game will be tough indeed. And the tougher that game looks the more important it becomes that we beat PSU and Purdue.
October 30th, 2010 at 1:46 PM ^
That was SO wide open for Illinois. WTF.
October 30th, 2010 at 1:46 PM ^
think you can be more open than that...
October 30th, 2010 at 1:47 PM ^
Watching Scheelhaase run the read-option so successfully against Purdue makes me drool at the thought of Denard running it.
October 30th, 2010 at 1:49 PM ^
Morris (true freshman not even on the depth chart) now in for Miami down 14-0.
October 30th, 2010 at 1:50 PM ^
I just spent the better part of the morning running some errands here and there in a typical retail strip deep in the heart of Nittany country. Naturally, I was sporting a maize and blue hoodie and in the morning even featured the beanie Tate made famous last year.
Long story short, PSU-wearing locals eyed me everywhere I went AND SAID NOTHING. The most flak I caught was from some bandwagon Buckeye who thinks Krenzel is the best current QB in the Big Ten. At any rate, last year I endured a literal onslaught of verbal assault from the Penn State faithful, but this year, they are indeed ascared.
They can smell the blood in the water, and it is their own. Unleash the sharks with dreadlocks.
October 30th, 2010 at 1:59 PM ^
how the heck was Krenzel brought up?
October 30th, 2010 at 1:59 PM ^
Horrible holding call on UVa. That WR bitched that DB for 10 yards just pushing him straight back. WR had hands inside, no jersey pulling, just flat out destroyed that corner.
I think the ref was so amazed on how badly that DB was playing that he had to assume it was holding.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:01 PM ^
Cavs now up 17-0 on Canes
October 30th, 2010 at 2:04 PM ^
I think you can cross "punting" off of your list of things Purdue doesn't suck at.
Which leaves... uh... Completions to Tacopants, and maybe coach's ability to grow 80's moustache?
October 30th, 2010 at 2:13 PM ^
Alright I'm going to ask because I always see it and I feel like I'm that awkward guy who laughs at other peoples inside jokes... How did the Tacopants stuff originate?
October 30th, 2010 at 2:16 PM ^
Brian deemed Jason Avant's invisible friend Tacopants. He's like 16 feet tall, made of dreams, and has unending eligibility. Tacopants was Henne's favorite target.
Also known as Chad Henne loved to overthrow Avant.
I find it hard to believe that isn't in the FAQ or HOF. If it isn't, it should be.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:21 PM ^
I can finally get a good night's sleep now.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:26 PM ^
While Tacopants was first identified by name sometime around 2006, he was first referenced in Brian's legendary "John Navarre blamed for 9/11" article for the Every Three Weekly in 2002.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:06 PM ^
K-State and OK-State are both playing good defense today. Strange.
Refs are throwing a few loose flags though.
October 30th, 2010 at 2:06 PM ^
Other than the second half against MSU, the Illini have looked pretty good. Right now, they are up 31-0 on Purdue and they are seriously looking like the biggest obstacle over the next 3 weeks. Are Purdue and Penn State really that bad, or is Illinois getting good?
October 30th, 2010 at 2:10 PM ^
Looks like a combination of both. Illinois will be quite a test for our team.
