He is fast and physically mature enough to take on those relentless sweeps that are surely comming our way.  He'll get burned plenty, but I think he can stand up to the pounding better than most of the other fresshman.

Seems most are worried about who steps up to replace T Wolf.   Won't most teams line up in 4 and 5 wideouts against us?  Who will we put on the field in that situation.  This troubles my sleep...Please, somebody, tell me how this works!?

I think the goal with the alterations to the defense was to be able to stick with the base package against most looks.  We are going to rely heavily on zone coverage, so we may not need to run out a dime package against those 4-5 wide looks.

At the end of the day, this defense is going to be striving for "good enough to win."  Sticking with the best 11 guys may be the best approach.

According to that Maize N' Brew article, Christian was rated substantially higher at corner than Demar Dorsey by everyone except ESPN.  Didn't know that, but it sure as hell cheers me up a little.

Good god people, losing one guy isn't the end of the world, Yes I agree  that losing Woolfolk isn't a good thing, but how do any of you know that these other dudes can't play the CB spot well? What we need as Michigan fans is to be just a little bit more optimistic and a little less OMG DOOM. Take it fwiw

I agree that Michigan fans should be more optimistic.  At the same time, this is a senior starter in an already severely weak position.  There's really not much to be optimistic about when you consider that the #2 corner (now the #1) was already much maligned for his [lack of] speed and athleticism.

I am sure he can slow down Plax.  Whoops.  But seriously, just goes to show you that putting an elite player at the position he last played in high school is not necessarily a good thing.

...when we didn't have access to all this information. Ignorance was bliss. I used to sweat how the team did. Now I sweat how individual positions will perform. Not as much fun now.

Those were the days my friend... We thought they'd never end...

Is there any way that Woolfolk can receive a medical redshirt and return to the team next year? Or has he already redshirted? Or is this out of the question? Answer whatever question would be more telling.

Austin White:  Pretty much Woodson's measurables, was considered a decent safety prospect.  DJ Williamson:  A burner who doesn't have a whole spring under his belt learning receiver, and Jerald Robinson, because his length and competitive attitude might compensate for quickness/"fluid hips" issues.  Obviously none of these would be ideal, but ideal is out for the season.

Denard goes to corner and instantly becomes the fastest corner in the Big Ten.  Now either Tate starts or they split reps and Denard plays both ways.  I vote that Denard starts at QB and his dilithium powered dreads start at corner.

I began this post sarcastically but the more I think about it.....

Ya know with the progression of a quality backup in DG maybe just maybe....

Okay I'm officially grabbing at straws.
